"Life" Sign Up

It's the year 3000 and video games have advanced greatly along with the technology beside it. The first Video Game has come out that actually ALLOWS the player to do ANYTHING with their character with movements of the player's real body, they can choose how they appear, what their powers are ect.. The player's movement and choices effects the story line in millions of ways. Although there is a major bug in the game that is unknown when it was released. When a player reaches the final boss, the game bugs out and the graphics become terrible and the game freezes. The player is given a horrible shock and is forced to pass out and be sent into a coma. When the player wakes up, they wake up as the hero they created, and in an entirely different world filled with chaos. If they want to return to their home world, they'll have to hunt down the glitch and delete it.

Rules:
1. No overpowering, you can learn moves as the game goes along.
2. You can base your characters off of video games(like giving them a keyblade from kingdom hearts) but you CANNOT be any character from a real game.
3. No God-modding

Appearance(human) : Tall, lean/muscular, wearing a black hoodie, hair color black and red. Hair is punkish red wearing goggles on his forehead as a trademark for his computer wit and skill.
History: As a boy, Darren was always smiling and happy as a normal child, but as he entered the real world when he grew older. Darren smile..started to go away to a stern face full of anger and misery. Mostly from the world's cruel treatment towards him for being different and a outcast. Darren is cold and cruel on some moments, but deep inside of that glacier has a warm and vunerable heart. Darren is kind at a lot of times, sometimes for he is too kind to others. He knows tae kwon do as a martial art skill for 1 and a half year now. A hacker and a computer maitenance but he is a true and fair gamer at heart.
Personality: Cool minded, down to earth, not over confident, sees himself as everyone else level. Silent and brooding at times, and down right sneaky at the most appropriate moment.

Appearance(human) : He has brown hair and green steam punk goggles he wears to keep his unruly hair up. He's a bit pale because he's constantly inside playing video games. He's thin surprisingly due to playing video games so much that he even forgets to eat. He wears casual clothing in the outside world. He's shorter than average but not by much.
History: Nick always loved video games. He favors strategy games and shooting games. As a child, he was given everything he wanted. He never asked for anything but video games. He somehow balanced having a social life and a video game life at the cost of grades. He failed college and is still attempting high school, but he just loved games too much. When he came across "Life" on the television adds, he just knew he had to play it. He was first in line for the store and first to get home and begin playing it. He was the first to get to the final boss and witness the glitch.
Personality: To be rp'd
Game Character Appearance: A brown cloak with a long and large green scarf and steampunk goggles. He looks much like himself but a bit more muscular and a clawed hand that is mechanical and can shoot up to a distance of 10 feet.
GC Abilities: Specializes in long range combat, but if he gets caught in close combat he can send electrical sparks from his gauntlet and pierce the enemy with it. He will obtain more items and such as the rp goes on.
GC Weapon: A mechanical clawed hand that can shoot up to 10 feet, he can shoot up to 10 feet with it and send slight electrical charges through it. (Will get upgraded as rp goes along)

Name: Alicia Grimoire

Gender: Female

Age: 15

Appearance(human): Alicia has light auburn hair that was cut to shoulder-length to match her favorite videogame character. Her eyes are a bright blue with dark bags under them, which stand out against near-bleach white skin. She's unusually short for her age, but is overall in a pretty healthy state. She often wears a large hoodie styled to look like the Cheshire cat, along with plain pants and whatever shoes she can get her hands on. One thing that she never stops wearing is her necklace that has a rabbit-shaped locket.

History: Alicia was born into a very wealthy family, under the guide of two intelligent, yet clueless parents who catered to her every will. She used to be the perfect daughter for them; obedient, polite, intelligent, and aimed to make them proud with her every being. A happy, somewhat pompous little family. But the day came when a careless maid set fire to their home while Alicia was in school, ending her parents and everyone who was inside.

Left with no one else, Alicia was adopted by another couple. This couple, however, did not adopt her for who she was. They only wanted her inheritance. After years of abuse and mistreatment, she snapped. She set up everything, from the traps to the big finale, and soon, her greedy stepparents were gone. She was so happy when she was freed, but the happiness did not last as she soon fell into a pit of despair and guilt of the crime she had committed.

It took a while, but it was soon uncovered that her mother had a younger brother who lived at the other side of the globe. Her newly found uncle flew over, taking Alicia under his wing. Arthur was his name, and he was a well-known author and psychiatrist, but most of all, was a good parent who helped her through her time of depression. He was the only one who knew of her murder, but almost never brought it up since it was admitted. It seemed as though everything had gone back to normal, but of course it did not last.

As part of her recovery, she began trying to search for new interests. One thing Arthur had recommended was videogames, and that she was allowed to play anything she wished, if it made her happy. She chose one game that she felt was most familiar with, one that was based off Alice in Wonderland, one of her favorite books. Arthur was hesitant due to how violent and frighteningly similar the game seemed, but obliged after a few months of his niece whining. And since then, the girl has been madly obsessed with it.

Seeing his niece's new, active obsession with videogames, Arthur continued to try and supply her what she wanted. One of the things he got for her was a new game called 'Life', that apparently allowed her to feel almost like she was in the game. It took a while to get her interested enough for her to try it, but she did in the end.

Personality: Alicia tends to be cheerful and optimistic, often to the point of creepy. That is, however, only at first glance. You'll soon realize the hidden venom she has, along with her cunning, clever wit. Often mysterious, she enjoys manipulating others for fun or for her own benefit. She has a conflicting taste, stuck between cutesy things and outright morbid monstrosities. She can look into the deeper meaning of things when it interests her, enjoying the thrill of cracking open secrets and motives of people and the world around her. She's actually not one for videogames, but does enjoy the interactive stories they present her.

Game Character Appearance: Instead of her unusually short self, she's of a more average height. She wears a red dress with a red hood and a mangled, blood-stained apron, along with black and white stockings, plain mary jane shoes, and a single silver necklace that has a pendant in the shape of a rabbit. She seems to have these permanent scars littering her skin on some places, but other than that, she's pretty much herself.

GC Abilities: Impressive jumping skill and float/glide for a decent amount of time, along with a downgraded 'butterfly dodge' that works as a sort of dash. Very quick on her own, but not so impressive attack without a weapon. Can wield large weapons with ease, but at the cost of cutting her speed, and may not be able to dash or jump. Later in the RP, she may acquire specific items that can unlock temporary abilities such as shrinking or growing in size or unlock more modes for the cheshire blade.

GC Weapon: The Cheshire's Blade: This weapon acts as a sort of 'Double edged sword', having a mind of its own and can choose whether or not it will help Alicia. It can transform into various other weapons, but only if they have been unlocked by a specific item or after fulfilling a requirement. It's default form is a knife, similar to the Vorpal Blade, except a bit bigger and its handle is shaped similar to the head of the Cheshire cat. It also has the uncanny ability to give its wielder 'visions' when tapped on a specific item, area, or person. Visions may be about the past, future, or present. These are mostly unclear and symbolic, needing careful examination and thinking to crack their meanings.

GC History: Primarily Alice: Madness Returns, a bit of Silent Hill and The Path. Yeeep, this is indeed an excuse to RP a crazy sadistic girl to ruin your gaming moments. :P

History: He grew up in a usual city, in the rich side. He grew up following minecraft, and on their 5.0 release, they added so many things. When this new game that allowed you to make their character came out, he instantly bought it and made his character similar to Steve from minecraft, except more human-like.

Game Character Appearance: It's basically steve from minecraft, but in the form of a real human, with muscles and many weapons across his body.
GC Abilities: He can break anything with his fists given an amount of time, he is skilled in many different things, weaponry, building, and potion-making. He can store an almost infinite amount of things in his pockets. He also has an ability to go into "Creative Mode" for about a half a minute or so once a day, making him invincible, and giving him the ability of flight. He also uses the ability of the "Smart Moving" mod, allowing him to jump higher, sprint faster, and parkour.
GC Weapon: He has a diamond sword, that looks realistic but slightly pixelated. He also has a bow that can shoot infinite arrows, and a flint n' steel to set fire to things. Along with various other tools.

Name: Lydia Raven
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Appearance(human) : Lydia is black haired and of average height, and a serious, almost cold expression, with chocolate brown eyes. Her skin is tan but is covered with fine hair and a few moles here and there.
History: Lydia had three siblings, so even though they could be considered middle class, they were poor due to the fact they had many mouths to feed, but even though everyone was still hungry, they were all content with their lives. Their father was a scientist, so he decided to experiment on something slightly forbidden. He experimented on humans. Trying to find a way to make humans be able to preform photosynthesis, he couldn't get anyone to volunteer so he experimented on his family one by one. Each time he failed, but as slowly his family died one by one, he grew maddened by his desire to make it. Soon though he got arrested and the only ones who survived were Lydia and her mom, but she was in shock, and didn't come out of it, so Lydia had to go and try to earn money for the two. Doing this for several years hardened her heart, when she came across a raffle drawing. Hoping to get food for the day and not having to work so hard, she entered and was slightly disgusted when she won the game that people were hyping over about. She decided to see what it was all about, and worked extra hard for the next few days to get some electricity in the house, and entered the game.
Personality: Lydia is cold and sarcastic, being pessimistic due to what happened in her life. She generally doesn't trust people and rarely makes friends, being off to the side. But in the game she tends to act the opposite of how she is in real life, cheerful and optimistic, and tends to trust people more than she would in real life.
Game Character Appearance: Lydia has long electric blue hair with cream skin and redish purple eyes. Her height orignally around average is extremely short, almost to the point of making her look like a small child, with huge anime-like eyes. Her hair is held up by two wing clips and she wears a white cape and sky blue dress.
GC Abilities: Lydia is the cleric/healer of the group meaning she normally cannot get far on her own, but strengthens the team she is on as a whole. However she gave herself the ability to summon small minions, which attack and defend for her(they look like fuzzy little blobs with small wings) but only 3 at a time. -ability will be upgraded later-
She her life is bound to a white rose, which when she takes damage, it doesn't occur physically, it instead causes a petal to fall off. When all the petals fall she dies. Also if the flower is damaged, she in turn becomes hurt and exhausted and if the rose dies by burning/pulling all the petals off etc, she dies as well. Lydia can regenerate the petals by immersing it in water. The flower doesn't wither.

GC Weapon: Lydia has a spear/staff which can transform into a shield, but that is all it seems to do.
The weapon's "offical" name is The S Thingy, which means it can transform into different weapons that start with S. Which means later, she can also transform it into a Sword and Scythe.
GC History: Like Kano Saeki (which isn't a game but \O/), and a bit of Ib, and To the Moon

Appearance(human): Wears normalish clothes, his pants almost always cargo pants, in various dark Camo colors. He is Tan (Ish), and Has Blue Eyes, he wears wire-frame glasses, His Hair is dyed a red-orange. About 6', he wears a silver Celtic ring on his right ring finger, along with a old watch. He usually wears combat boots along with this, and his build is bulky, and broad-shouldered, making him seem more fierce then intelligent, but it is the other way around. He also, almost always has headphones around his neck, or in his ears.
History: He grew up with a upper-class family, but mostly alone, to study, play music, draw, write, ectra. On his 19th Birthday, his parents were assassinated by a rival company for control of some obscure place. He came into his inheritance, and retired, very early. He became a recluse, with very few friends. Disliking Humans, and delving into the virtual worlds. After he restored a old gaming system, very old, he fell in love with the game it played. (KH anyone? xD)

Game Character Appearance: A O:XIII Black Overcoat, with its arms torn off, and it trimmed at waist height. The front is open, revealing two belts crossing over each other on his chest. He wears a solid gray shirt under this. His pants are metal armor up to knee height, then they switch over to Snow Camouflage Cloth. His appearance besides this is the same. He on occasion will wear a Helmet. The Style Differing Sometimes. The Back of the O:XIII Overcoat has the O:XIII Symbol in White on the back. He carries around Headphones and a MP3 player (that never dies.) in a pouch tied to his weapon's handle.
GC Abilities: Sonic Slash: Edges his Halberd with Sonic Music. Causing its edge to cut through a hell of a lot of stuff.
GC Weapon: A Halberd, with its edge being in the form of the O:XIII Symbol. Its has Music Notes Patterned along its Shaft.
