Fiery Energy clashing with Timidity

Sosio: {34 - 11}

Sosio swirled about in the sky, practicing a new idea she invented. She kept her flame sac burning, but she didn't use it for speed. Instead, she held a burning ember in her beak that left streams of smoke in her path. For now, she was just making pretty swirls, standing out against the usually-blue sky. Today, however, was a little overcast and windy, so it was best she didn't stay in flight for too long.

Landing on a stepping stone, she looked into the entrance of the dungeon she had been to so many times. She almost thought of herself as "queen" of the dungeon after she discovered it, but there would have to be a lot of effort put into journeying and training before she could even think of living there. In fact, by the time she had the chance to, she would most likely be fully-evolved.

In spite of that, she loved coming back here as much as possible, and bounced happily towards the entrance. She knew many secrets of this place, and was chipper at the thought of maybe one day being able to escort Pokemon through, give them a tour, which she could do after she settled there. She gazed at the foliage that was similarly-colored to her feathers. It was as if it were destiny... To have discovered such a wondrous place.

Sosio: {15}

"I don't know, some clothes shop or something, I think. I've seen some items I never ever saw on others, and didn't find in the wild, and there seems to be a lot of buzz about it, too."

The Fletchinder wondered what the store could possibly do for her. She could always dye her bow, but pink seemed her color, and she liked it streaming along the back of her head. It fit so naturally, so she wanted to keep it natural. Which made her think... How is apparel natural in the wild, anyway? How many Pokemon lost their clothing items while exploring?

Clara sighed as it seems she might have to keep an eye out next time she is in town again. "I, I don't think many would wear these in the wild." Clara stated as she looked around for a moment. She felt a bit hungry once more. She then looked in her bag for a set of apples. Finding the apples, she held one towards Sosio. "Umm. Are you hungry?" The ralts asked the flying type.

Clara's unrelated sentence confused Sosio, so she decided to just stay put and wait for something else to be brought up. Thankfully enough, another more preferable topic was made. Normally, Sosio would accept any food from someone, but for once, she actually wasn't hungry.

"No thanks, actually. I'm working on only eating my food when I'm actually hungry or tired. But I have plenty of energy!" she exclaimed joyfully. She stretched her legs before her and put her wings beside her as a support mechanism while she was in the anthro-like position. If she scooted down the hill some more, she could dip her toes in the water.

"Where to next? Should we head back in to the forest to explore some more, or continue along the side of the island to get to the exit? I'm fine either way," she gave a few suggestions, just simply threw them out there and was flexible enough to go with whatever Clara wanted. Whatever would make her happy.

Clara shrugged and put the extra apple away. She then turned towards Sosio once the ember bird pokemon had asked where she wanted to head towards next. "I would like to go visit the forest some more.. if possible." she said with a slight smile. Clara remaining mostly silent afterwords, wondered how the island could even look like it was in a perpetual autumn. It made the forest have many splendid colors that clara would enjoy.

Sosio: {16 - 15 (Pokemon) = 1 + 5 (trap) = 6 - 1 (item) = 5}

Sosio nodded. She was glad that Clara wanted to stay in the forest, because the Fletchinder felt that leaving just then would be too soon. Although now the bird was more wondering which direction to go. Of course, first they would have to turn around and head back into the forest, but to where then? Of course, she wouldn't want to go in the same direction she had already been, so it was best that after they enter the copse again, they turn right. There was a small path as they went to the beach, and it ad to lead somewhere interesting.

"Alright then, let's head off!" she exclaimed, grinning, and picking up her adventure bag to sling over her back. It was helpful that she could tie it around her body so it didn't get in the way of flight, which she did quickly in case an urgent situation occurred. She wouldn't want to be left flightless, after all. Hopefully the Ralts was ready to go.

Encounters (for me): Sentret, Cascoon, Wurmple, Trap, Green Leaf

Clara nodded as the fire bird pokemon exclaimed to start heading out. She had a light smile on her face as she went head back towards sosio. I wonder if this place stays like this all the time... she thought as walked. At some point, she thought she felt more emotions in the area, but it quickly faded away. She shrugged it off as just a pokemon just coming within range of her senses and then back out.

"All set" she stated as she had her survival put her survival bag over her shoulder.

Sosio: {5}

Sosio blinked at Clara, half turned into the forest, half facing the shore, head turned so her eye was parallel to the water. As she grabbed her adventure back and joined her, the Fletchinder grinned with her eyes and turned fully to the path ahead. Only a few body-lengths of walking and she halted, gesturing with her wing to the right.
"I noticed this path, and it should lead somewhere new," she explained to the Ralts as they arrived. Knowing the bird scarcely ever needed consent from the psychic, so she continued down the path while making sure her friend was following.

The trees down the path were all thin and extremely tall, able to be more cramped together other than the narrow path that existed. Its straightness was absurd, and definitely seemed unearthly. Her focus on something specific while walking made her even more prone to being startled at the next event, in which a Wurmple landed before her from the sky, squealing. The entomophobic bird jumped when the insect landed before her, but the fact that it wasn't attacking calmed her down a little. But another Pokemon was knocked out of a tree, a spiky cocoon, landed next to the other bug type. Flipping back to being upright, it hopped in attempt of escape, snagging the pre-evolutionary relative species with it. The attacking Pokemon leaped down from the tree to the left where both of the other Pokemon must have fallen from, and being much faster, stopped and grabbed the insects and pinned them to a stop. As it snarled at the other two wild Pokemon, Sosio couldn't decide which side to take.

Clara nodded at the flying ember pokemon's statement about the path leading to somewhere new. She then continued to follow her along the path. At some point along the unnaturally straight path, a bug type pokemon fell from the tree. Seeming to startle Sosio, Even her emotions had spiked during that causing Clara to slightly flinch. Seeming to calm down as the Wrumple did not move to attack them. Another bug type fell down and grabbed the Wrumple and started to run.

Then something came out of the tree snarling as it chased them, some kind of ferret like creature. It seemed it was chasing them down for its next meal. "Th-that is unfortunate..." she said as she watched the terrified pokemon run away from their hunter. She had no intention of depriving the furret of its meal, however she couldn't exactly help but feel bad for the two bug types. "I, umm. I wouldn't want to be on that end of the chain..." she said softly as she began to walk.

Sosio flattened the feathers on her crest as she was conflicted, and raised her body and neck above her legs, eyes wide as she watched the scene before her. She hated situations like this; ones where she had to choose a side, make a difficult decision. She glanced about, then quickly looked to Clara as she stated something peculiar that Sosio didn't quite understand. "Chain"? What chain? Regardless, it seemed Clara wanted to stay neutral in this situation, which was fortunate for the Fletchinder now that the indecisive bird didn't have to make a choice.

Despite what one would think about the fire-and-flying type, while it seemed she had good leadership skills and was mildly controlling, she couldn't be counted on for her life to make a decision whatsoever, especially if that decision was an important one. She'd always been reliant on others to make her decisions for her, which is quite odd considering Sosio would always be at the front of the line.

Sosio crouched and lowered her torso, awkwardly dashing past the Furret, who looked ready to bite the bugs to end them early. The vicious cycle... And how could that mammal even bear to eat such twisted, disgusting, creepy creatures?

Clara looked at the bird for a moment and then looked back towards the direction the bugs and furret ran off to. She didn't want to go into the topic about being eaten by something bigger than yourself. She just seemed to remain there for a bit.

After a brief moment she looked over towards Sosio and noticed her take off towards the bug types. Wha-what is she doing? she thought to herself as she watched the scene unfold. Clara was unsure about the situation, If she was confident enough she would attempt to save the two bugs. However, even then... Deprive another of their food? It was something she couldn't really handle at the moment. One or the other, it would be a loss.

She remained in her spot as sosio went after the three pokemon, seeming to pass the furret. It made it clear that either A: she was going to save the bug types. B: she was going to eat them herself... However clara was pretty certain it would be option A... From what she could tell, sosio didn't like bugs at all. To the point of actually being either afraid or creeped out by them.

The last few encounters where a bug ambushed them resulted in it being completely beaten to a pulp by sosio.

Sosio: {5}

It took the Fletchinder a while to realize what was actually going on. In attempt to get out of the way of the chase of predator and prey, she had actually gotten in the way. Realizing what happened, being now in between the Furret and the insects, Sosio took a sharp turn to the left into a small area with more space and only one large tree. It was a very small dead end with a tree, there perhaps blocking a possible path behind it. She just stood in front of the tree, sort of staring at it and listening. Waiting for the wild Pokemon to pass and for Clara to catch up.

Not only was the one tree different from the others because it was much thicker than all the narrow packed trees in this area, but also because it had a singular green leaf dangling weakly on the tip of a twig on its frontmost branch. It was a strange sight, considering that this was an autumn environment, but it was beautiful all the same. A single leaf that managed to survive. Its stem, however, must've weakened a lot, because it broke free from the tree with a tiny crack, and drifted down onto Sosio's beak. She supposed she'd keep it, even though these leaves seemed useless at the moment. They might come in handy later, like for crafting remedies.

Clara blinked for a moment as she noticed sosio had randomly changed direction. Clara had just lost sight of sosio! This made her panicked slightly as she started running towards the direction sosio had went. "So-Sosio! Wait up!" she shouted as she attempted to catch up. She eventually began picking up speed as she ran towards the direction her new friend was.

Eventually going fast enough to leave copies of herself along her path. The copies seemed flicker in and out of existence rather quickly, since she didn't maintain them during her running. She was just about to pass where sosio had turned off of the path as she shouted for sosio once more.

"Oh, hey, I'm right here!" she called out quickly, craning her head to the side to observe Clara with one eye, just to ensure the anxious psychic type didn't continue running.

With a gentle claw, she brought the brightly colored leaf onto her palm. She tossed her hand up and down, letting the leaf be caught by the air and hover above her palm, only to be hit and held again by the upcoming palm. It was almost like an attempt to mimic the cliche of tossing and catching a ball, only with an object that refused to be sent up into the air. Sosio, however, was naiive, and had no idea how this worked. She didn't know about the resistance to movement in gravity, or the drag of an object with spread out mass that makes them drift instead of fall, but still admired it. How much did Clara know about the universe? Surely more than Sosio. Surely she knew the Fletchinder was standing right here by now, too.

Clara stopped the second she heard a voice state that they were right there. She glanced towards the voice and let out a light sigh. "S-sorry... I thought um..." Clara looked towards the direction the three pokemon where traveling then back at sosio. "Umm. Why did you run off?" she asked as she started heading towards The ember bird pokemon.

She felt a bit confused about the whole thing. She thought Sosio was going to do something about the furret and its prey. However, she wasn't going to question that part.

Sosio: {5}

As Clara approached, Sosio finally pocketed the leaf and turned to see her.
"It's complicated. I don't really know how to explain. Sorry for giving you a scare." she explained vaguely. The Fletchinder was more action than thinking, so sometimes even she didn't know what she did or why she did it. Her reactions are often big, much like how she reacts to insects. Even though she was reaching an age where most Pokemon's behaviors mature, she was still childish.

The bird stretched her wings out to the side and flapped them slowly and gently just for the purpose of stretching, and folded them back onto the sides of her body again. She strut away from the tree, beside Clara at the entrance to the tiny area, and stood facing the path they were once on, non-verbally asking whether they should continue. Sosio was very awkward, no doubt.
