Fiery Energy clashing with Timidity

Sosio: {34 - 11}

Sosio swirled about in the sky, practicing a new idea she invented. She kept her flame sac burning, but she didn't use it for speed. Instead, she held a burning ember in her beak that left streams of smoke in her path. For now, she was just making pretty swirls, standing out against the usually-blue sky. Today, however, was a little overcast and windy, so it was best she didn't stay in flight for too long.

Landing on a stepping stone, she looked into the entrance of the dungeon she had been to so many times. She almost thought of herself as "queen" of the dungeon after she discovered it, but there would have to be a lot of effort put into journeying and training before she could even think of living there. In fact, by the time she had the chance to, she would most likely be fully-evolved.

In spite of that, she loved coming back here as much as possible, and bounced happily towards the entrance. She knew many secrets of this place, and was chipper at the thought of maybe one day being able to escort Pokemon through, give them a tour, which she could do after she settled there. She gazed at the foliage that was similarly-colored to her feathers. It was as if it were destiny... To have discovered such a wondrous place.

Clara looked at the fire type bird as she stated that it was a gift, a token of their friendship. She had a slight smile form on her face. She then looked at the ribbon once more. Wondering what she could do with it.. "Thanks" she said with a smile. She then looked at it once more and decided to tie it onto her neck. Looking in a nearby puddle to see how it looked. She tilted her head as she saw it. To her it seemed silly to wear as it was not something used for survival. Yet, somehow she felt she needed to wear it.

However as she went to turn around she slipped into the puddle. "AYE!" Now covered in mud. The only thing on her at the moment that seemed to still be clean, was the ribbon. She then looked at herself in a bit of shock. "errr, this is messy..." she stated as she looked around. She was looking for something to help her rinse the mud off.

Sosio: {14 + 1 = 15}

Sosio nodded and let out her avian purr, a sort of rolling her chirp with her tongue to express happiness quietly. Clara proceeded to put on the item like a scarf, which looked nice as a contradictory gold to her green and red head and horns. It made the Fletchinder happy to know that the Ralts took it in as a gift that the bird intended it to be. She then stroked her pink ribbon, and item she found also while exploring with an old friend.

The next turn of events made Sosio's eyes widen with surprise, mud splashing up as Clara fell into the puddle she was looking into. Her wings flitted at her side as she hopped over to help her up and see what happened.
"Oh, uh, well we're on an island, so there's places to clean up all around us. C'mon, let's go to the edge of this forest to find some water."

Clara looked at Sosio, Still being completely covered. She sighed slightly, "Alright." she said as she got up, beginning to follow Sosio to the edge of the forest to find some water.

She wasn't too happy to be covered in mud at the moment, Oddly leaving the ribbon clean though.

At some point saw something shimmer on the side of the path, It was an odd pink ribbon, stuck on a nearby bush. ^{This is a joy ribbon being introduced for Clara to wear from a reward on another thread (Shrine)}

"Hey, umm. Sosio... What kind of ribbon is this..." she asked the flying fire type. She suspected it was a joy ribbon, but hasn't seen one before. "Is, is this a joy ribbon?" She asked.

As the two Pokemon went walking, Sosio could sense windier air as they grew nearer to an open area. Then Clara's sharp eyes noticed something that the Fletchinder most likely wouldn't have. She asked the question, which directed Sosio's attention to the pink ribbon stuck on the branches of the shrub.

"Hey, that looks just like my ribbon! It must be a Joy Ribbon, then," the bird reasoned, stroking hers with a wing and reaching out to the other with a gentle talon. Joy Ribbons were considered very valuable, but Sosio's value was personal. It defined her personality, and she most likely would never remove it.

A shimmer from under the bush then adverted Sosio's attention, stretching her claws in carefully to grab the blue box, which was wrapped in an expensive-looking ribbon. But when she pulled out her talon, a sharp Cascoon had struck her with one of its thorns, attached to her when she pulled out. Freaked out, her beak opened into a silent scream as she waved her leg around to get it off, sending it flying, and shot it away with an Ember. Two other Pokemon ran in and looked at the two Pokemon fiercely. It was an ambush.

After Clara had grabbed the ribbon and sosio seemed to have found another set of items in the same bush, An ambush had occured. Clara freaked out a little bit as she immediately darted backwards, leaving a copy of herself there in the process.

She was about to attempt to get onto of one of the trees to get away but noticed the bug pokemon stuck to Sosio's leg. Being preoccupied with it, from Clara's angle she thought Sosio might not have saw the other two pokemon jump out of the bush.

FIGHT OR FLIGHT CLARA! PICK YOUR CHOICE!!!!
Every thought in Clara's mind told her to run, but something there told her to rush in and help her new friend. Someone that she seemed to be building a trust towards.. It was now or never, to help her friend out.

What will she do, Will she go and help her friend, or flee!
NEXT TIME ON PMD-RP/shot

She vanished into a shadow, one of the two pokemon that came out of the bush, She attempted to knock it back as she appeared right behind it. Her attempt was completely useless as it seemed while in the shadow it did nothing to the pokemon. She turned to see it had no effect other then drawing their attention to her. She was frozen in place from her body telling her she should of ran.

Note: At some point she had quickly tied the ribbon to her arm until she was safe to put it where she wanted it.. Joy ribbon will only affect next page though.

Once Sosio had thrown off and blown away the insect, when she looked ahead, what she saw startled her, and what she saw after what startled her startled her even more. Clara had tried to defend Sosio. It didn't do much, of course, as the Ghost-type move wouldn't really affect the two normal types, but it was the thought that mattered.

To help her friend in turn, the fire-flying type started up a Peck, her beak glowing white and long, and sharp, attacking the Grass-type with a super-effective damage. Continuing her flight, she veered around and came in to tackle the Teddiursa to the ground, holding it by its neck and pinning it to the ground, her eyes full of fury for its claws were just long and white, preparing to attack the mortified Clara with a Scratch. She then lifted the small bear up with her talons by his neck and whipped him into the nearest tree. When she looked to the Ralts, her eyes dilated to their normal size, seeming to ask, Are you alright?

Clara being somewhat frozen from fear, saw what Sosio did. She had come in and saved her from the two pokemon who seemed rather pissed at her. "I, I am sorry." She said as she held her head as she shook it side to side a few times. She thought she just made the whole thing so much more dangerious at her attempt.

Clara then looked at herself, noticing half the mud she was covered in was now gone. Still leaving her dirty, but at least it wasn't going to cake onto her.

Now Clara was apologizing.
"Sorry? What do you mean? That was awesome! You used it as an attack like I suggested. The only thing wrong is that the move must be of a ghost typing, so it doesn't effect normal types." For once, Sosio felt smart. She usually didn't know something that another didn't, and already she knew more about the shrine and the move than this younger Pokemon did. It made Sosio feel proud, and in that which of an event, she would usually puff up her chest, but the timing was inappropriate, so she refrained.

"Now come on, let's get to the water so you can wash up."

Clara looked at Sosio as she stated it was awesome. "I, didn't.. I umm... It made it more dangerious..." she stated as she stumbled across her words. She was stumbling across them partly because, everything in her told her to run, however she instinctively went and attacked the pokemon. Not really knowing what to do, since she didn't really know how to battle. She just... Did it...

Clara thought for a moment, 'Ghost type? My ability is a ghost type ability?' she thought to herself. Wondering what exactly that meant... She knew some pokemon's abilities had type namings applied to them. The obvious ones such as fire and water type moves. However, she didn't really think the shadow sneak ability had a typing to it.

She then nodded at Sosio's statement about finding some water. She really wanted to cleanup now. She then wanted to find a better spot to put the joy ribbon on.

Sosio merely tilted her head and smiled as Clara stuttered. The sweet Ralts didn't seem to understand that what she did was amazing. Going against everything she lived by and learned how to do something new. That was part of what made the mind healthy, and her being a psychic type, she of all should know that.

Reaching the edge of the island now, Sosio gave up on walking and flew out a few meters away from the island, hovering low over the lake, and inviting Clara into the shore. The most the bird chose to touch the water was with her feet, feeling its wet coolness. She was brave to be even hovering over it, because if she fell in, she could risk permanently using her ability of fire. The fire-flying type was plenty brave and carefree, however, so the thought never crossed her mind.

As they reached the side of the island at the lake you would have to cross to get there. Clara watched Sosio fly over the water, dipping her feet in the water. Clara was a little surprised by this as she knew Sosio was a fire type. However she continued to make her way to the water. Slowly getting in feeling as it was actually still quite cold just like her earlier experience that day. Just before entering the water fully, she put her survival bag down on the ground at the edge of the water. Taking the ribbon Sosio gave her and placed it in the bag to keep it hidden for the time, in case of pokemon deciding to snatch up the golden ribbon as she was in the water. Then, placing the last item, the Joy ribbon in the bag also.

She then stepped fully into the water and decided quickly to just go under and have the water rinse most of the mud off all at once. She would have less work to do after doing this.

As she went into the water fully, submerging her head. You could clearly see all the dirt floating into the water from her earlier battle with the mud. She then quickly came back up from under the water due to how cold it was.

Leaving a dark brown cloud in the water as she quickly got out to dry a little, still a bit dirt. She went to another section of the lake to get a little cleaner water. Just a few feet aways, she got back in and ran the water over herself getting the rest of the mud off.

All the while, she seemed a bit silent.

As the fire type dips her mere claws in the water, Clara dunked her whole self in, dispersing the dirt and mud away from her. It was really a sight, to see it float off so easily just by water. Despite the Fletchinder being of a type that's weak to water, she was once a normal type, so water didn't mean the same thing to her as it did to other fire Pokemon.

She flew back to the leaf-covered island, and watched her friend with a joy encrusting her heart. She stretched her wings and sat on the ground, letting her feathers overlap her folded legs, taking a nice rest for once. It was not only a beautiful day, despite the chilliness, but a day she got to share with someone.

Clara got out of the water, noticing that Sosio had already gotten out of the water. Clara then walked towards her bag and took out the two ribbons she had recently acquired. The ralts had wondered where she should put each one. She then got the idea of putting them together as she tied the bow onto her. Just under her head around her neck. The ribbons wove around each other as they were tied into a bow. Leaving a swirling color of pink and gold.

She seemed to be satisfied with it for now as she looked towards Sosio. Who now seemed to be enjoying herself as she rested.

Sosio giggled and shook off nothing as if she were shaking of the clear clean liquid as Clara arose and arrived by her side once more. The Ralts seemed to be playing with her two newly-found bows, and her compromise to each was to wear both in an amazing way. The Fletchinder almost wished she had done the same, but it was more of the psychic type's style, and not her own. Pink looked fine on the bird, but gold fit perfectly on Clara.

"There's a shop where it allows you to make and combine things. I bet you could mesh that ribbon and that bow to make a golden or better one that has the effects of a Joy Ribbon and the awesome color of the gold one," she suggested.

Clara looked over to Sosio once she made the comment about a shop being able to combine the items together. "Really? Which one does that?" Clara asked Sosio as she picked up her bag and walked back towards the flying ember pokemon.

She was rather interested in what Sosio knew about such a shop. It was mainly because she would love to have the her gift and the joy ribbon put as one. It felt a little awkward having a double thick ribbon around her that could fall apart if it wasn't tied correctly.
