The Fire That Burns From Within...And On His Tail

"Just head down the hall and go through the first door to the right, I'll be with you in a moment," Morpheus spoke to the next client, a Charmeleon, as he placed a box of belongings in a different room. He left the client to find the room himself, having been busied with deliveries of various objects and tools for refurbishing the cabin. He hefted the boxes onto a counter, struggling with the weight of them and taking a deep breath as he finished. He turned and entered the room he had directed the client to, talking as he entered.

"Okay, so, I'm going to have to hypnotize you into a slumber, so don't be afraid if you suddenly fall asleep. Things might be a bit weird at first, but I'll be with you shortly inside the dream. When you start out you're going to be significantly weaker than you are now, and you might find that you have moves you had a long time ago and lose your newer ones. When you get hurt in the dream tower, it will not transfer into the real world, but it'll still feel rather painful. Any questions and or concerns?" he smiled.

"Get....Iron," the lairon spoke, staring at the chameleon intently and seeming to forget Morpheus existed.

Morpheus looked to Jak, not daring to speak up in the case of being yelled at by the steel type once more. The dark room seemed to change, as if it were moving....no, more like there was a dark mist around them. The mist crawled along the floor, and over the space between the lairon and the duo, leaving the mist seemed to be getting rather thick, but still kept a clear sight on the lairon due to avoiding the space between them as if it were the plague.

Jak looked towards the Lairon for a moment. "Iron? Ok..." Jak said as he turned around and walked a little ways out into the mist. Just noticing the mist start to surround them. Oddly it left a path visible between him and the Lairon. It was very strange to see, making Jak feel slightly uncomfortable about the whole idea of how the mist reacted to every movement he made.

He searched around the area along the floor. The mist grew very thick around him as he searched. Keeping an eye out for some form of iron that the Lairon had requested.

The search was fruitless, until the Charmeleon seemed to have kicked something in his walk, the sound of a glass bottle rolling along the floor could be heard as it was sent further into the dark mist. Morpheus had remained where he was, watching the charmeleon look around, however he grew panicked when he suddenly could not see the charmeleon any more!

"Jak?" he called out, though there was no way for the charmeleon to hear him, or even see him now. The charmeleon had been taken somewhere else, no longer with Morpheus.

"Hello Jak, having fun in here?" a raspy voice called out to the charmeleon, an army of green glowing eyes suddenly surrounding Jak.

Jak continued to search around the floor for whatever he could find, as the floor seemed completely empty either way. He then kicked something as he walked, immediately attempting to grab whatever it was before he froze in his place as he heard a voice. He looked around the area, seeing nothing but darkness. "Hello Jak, having fun in here?" the voice said. Looking all around him, he found himself surrounding by green glowing eyes.

"Who are you!" Jak shouted as he remained in his place. The only thing he could think of for some reason... was the one thing he hated most. Something he had been pushing to the side for a long time. He also noticed that he could no longer see the others. He started to feel a bit panicked by this new found information.

" 'you'? Tsk Tsk, naughty naughty Jak. We are not one, we are many. Thousands-no millions! We are not simply one being, we are many. You are outnumbered, Jak. Give up, and maybe you'll get out of here in one piece. Otherwise, we'll split you into as many pieces as us. Your puny brain can comprehend, yes?" the spirits spoke, the one voice turning to many as the green eyes glared at Jak from all around him, more appearing in a dome like shape above him. The green eyes seemed to be spreading, infecting the area around Jak, and nearing the talons of his feet.

Morpheus was at loss. What was he to do? The charmeleon had merely disappeared out of thin air. There was no way he could force the dream tower to bring him back, and there was no way he could simply find them. The helpless feeling caused him to sigh, he would just have to wait for the charmeleon to simply reappear before him. Not like there was anything he could about it!

Jak flinched from THEIR response... It completely caught him off guard. The fact that they claimed to not be one entity. He then took a single step towards the wall of glowing eyes. "I don't care if you are one or a million. Who are you!" he demanded. Clearly not liking the situation he was in. He felt a mixture of fear, sadness, and rage build within him. All at once, all emotions wanting to take a piece of him with them.

The one emotion, his rage. Was becoming the more dominant one in this situation, being fueled by the other emotions. "Who are you! And where did you bring me!!" he shouted as he shot embers towards the wall of glowing eyes.

The eyes were repelled by the flames, not desiring to touch that foul and dirty flame. One the flame had past their barrier of eyes the eyes reformed into their place.
"Watch yourself boy, you could hurt somebody with such dangerous emotions. Perhaps a close friend? An ally?"

Morpheus's eyes widened as a sudden ball of flames appeared in a flash in front of them. They smashed into his face, causing him to cry out in pain and claw the burning bits off of his face and rub ashes ou of his eyes. A burn mark formed on his trunk, leaving a mark of the attack.
"Who was that?" He requested without a sound of venom in his voice. Unluckily for him Jak heard nothing of his words.

Jak glared at the wall of eyes. After he seemingly flinched at the statement the wall of eyes said. About him hurting a close friend or ally. "Quit this nonsense!" he shouted towards the mass of glowing eyes. He was getting fairly upset with it toying with him. He decided instead of firing flames at it, he would try slamming into it with his flames.

He then began to rush towards the mass of eyes that surrounded him, as his tail flame started to grow and he fired flame from his mouth, beginning to encase his whole body as he charged towards his enemy. "Quit these games!" he shouted as he attempted to strike the entity.

A sudden orange flaming fist appeared and struck the unfortunate drowzee, this time he was able to react quickly enough to attempt to use Disable on the attacker. The foe seemed to disappear before he was able to see if it had effected him. There was only a brief second where Jak was able to see Morpheus, the barrier that stood between them breaking enough before resealing itself swiftly. The eyes merely moved away from the charmeleon, as if repelled by him.

"Disgusting," the voices huffed, "you think this is a game? We are far from it. However, if you want a game, it is a game you shall get. This shall not be some tag, or hide and seek, or even red rover. This shall be a game of our choosing. Hm...what shall we play? Oh I know!" there was an ominous giggle, "how about we play murder? We'll be the murderer, and you can play victim!"

Jak stepped back as he saw what just happened. The wall of eyes seemed to move away from him as he came near it, not entirely sure if it was due to the flame on him or himself. Not only that, the other thing he saw... was the fact that what the entity had stated earlier... About him hurting his friends... Was no bluff at all, he had struck morpheus earlier, and his previous attack.
"There will be no more victims!" he shouted as he held his ground. He then closed his eyes and sat down. He had no clue about what to do in this kind of situation... If he attacked it, it would simply make his attacks hit his friend. If he sat there... What would happen? He then opened his eyes and waited. "You are a coward, hiding behind the shield of others..." he said firmly as he remained sitting.
