The Fire That Burns From Within...And On His Tail

"Just head down the hall and go through the first door to the right, I'll be with you in a moment," Morpheus spoke to the next client, a Charmeleon, as he placed a box of belongings in a different room. He left the client to find the room himself, having been busied with deliveries of various objects and tools for refurbishing the cabin. He hefted the boxes onto a counter, struggling with the weight of them and taking a deep breath as he finished. He turned and entered the room he had directed the client to, talking as he entered.

"Okay, so, I'm going to have to hypnotize you into a slumber, so don't be afraid if you suddenly fall asleep. Things might be a bit weird at first, but I'll be with you shortly inside the dream. When you start out you're going to be significantly weaker than you are now, and you might find that you have moves you had a long time ago and lose your newer ones. When you get hurt in the dream tower, it will not transfer into the real world, but it'll still feel rather painful. Any questions and or concerns?" he smiled.

Jak nodded as he followed Morpheus's instructions. Jak walked down the hall to the first door on the on the right. He walked in and waited for Morpheus.

Morpheus then stated he had to hypnotize him into slumber, stating that he shouldn't be afraid to fall asleep. Morpheus also explained what some of the things he might and will feel in there as he enters. How he will feel weaker and he will forget how to use certain moves.

"I won't lose those moves forever? Right?" he asked after he had nodded about the previous statements. Showing that he understood them.

He sat down so that he would not fall over for when he was going to go to sleep to enter the tower.

"No you will not lose them forever, when you awaken you will be able to use those moves once more!" Morpheus reassured the client. He lifted his arms, preparing to use hypnosis, "Anything else?" he questioned the charmeleon, "Once we get in I can't guarantee that we'll have time to stand around and chatter, Dream Towers can be a lovely stroll or a dangerous war zone depending on certain factors of your mind, specific memories will not be repeated in their entirety though vague hints may be largely given, and so on and so forth. Anything else?" he repeated once more just in case.

Jak nodded as he waited for Morpheus to use hypnosis on him. "Ok... *Deep Breath* I am ready." Jak said confidently.

'No going back now...' Jak thought to himself as he prepared to fall asleep.

At one point he started to feel sleep coming over him. It felt completely unnatural to him as he suddenly started to feel as if he had not slept in days. At first he resisted but realized that he wanted to sleep. Slowly he succumbed to the hypnosis and fell asleep.

At first the surrounding area he was in was pitch black. As his vision started showing a new scene...

The moment Jak saw the flames Jak quickly was startled but realized... He felt nothing, not even the heat of the flame at the moment. He quickly calmed down and then the Drowsee had appeared next to him.

Jak looked towards the Drowsee as he asked if he was ready. He nodded and started moving towards the tower.

As he got close to the tower. He began to feel the heat it held. "I... I can feel it here... But not back there..." He said as he turned towards the drowsee... He then looked back at the tower and then proceeded to move forward. The moment he took a step into the tower a large explosion occurred throwing him back before ever having a chance to step foot in there. The tower seemed to fade from his vision as this had occurred but the tower still seemed undamaged as it had faded.

He woke up in a sweat, "What in... Something happen? I can't remember what happened..." he said looking towards the Drowsee. "Is it alright to do another session? I am willing to pay..." he asked Morpheus.

Morpheus's eyes widened as the client suffered an Explosion. He acted quickly, and swallowed the dream whole, erasing the traces from the charmeleon's mind. He felt a bit sick in the stomach as he consumed the nightmare. The charmeleon then questioned him on what had occurred, and he answered calmly, "You were kicked out of the tower, that was not quite the earliest i've ever seen someone kicked out, but it was rather early none the less. I had to eat the dream, we don't really know what happens when the dream isn't eaten, well I do, but let's just say it's not pleasant. We can begin another session, yes, just calm down, and we can try this again..."

Once the drowsee stated that it wouldn't be pretty if he had not eaten the dream. Jak thanked him for helping him. Although it was most likely part of the task in this kind of business... He still felt he needed to thank him...

Then Jak took a deep breath as he stated that he just needed to calm down for a moment to try again.

It grew calmer with a few breaths. He figured, whatever had happened in there... It must of really made him get tense or something. It took a moment to get calm there.

"Ready..." he said to Morpheus.

He slowly got sleepy again. This time he knew right away that he needed to sleep. He did not resist in the slightest this time. As he fell asleep. Almost immediately the vision of some form of tower came to sight. He stood there waiting for Morpheus to come, and waited till the vision cleared up a bit.

The drowzee worked away at the hypnosis once more, sending the charmeleon into a slumber once more.

An explosion of flames had lighted up the area around the charmeleon, the flames coating everything the charmeleon saw, and surrounding him once more. Though it felt more like a hug rather than burning sensation of pain and terror, once again. The flames faded however, and revealed a tall familiar structure that shot into the sky. The drowzee appeared beside the charmeleon once again, looking up at the tall structure, noting that it was STILL on fire, but not having any actual damage be caused to it. The drowzee looked to the charmeleon, "Ready to try this one more time?" he asked.

Jak nodded and stepped forward towards the tower.

He looked up at the tower as he got within a few feet of it. The flames heat felt warm to him. No matter how close he got.

They didn't seem to burn him. He then looked at the entrance.

"Any chance you would know why it is on fire?" Jak asked Morpheus as he looked towards the tower once more.

"I am ready." he said as he looked towards the Drowsee. He then turned towards the tower and took a step into the entrance.

Once he got past the doorway. He felt a warmth envelope him. Unlike fire hugging someone without burning them. It felt... peaceful to him. He looked around inside the room he got into from going through the entrance. Unsure of what he was looking at, at the moment.

The drowzee shrugged, "Maybe it's because of your tail," the drowzee shrugged before entering with the Charmeleon. The drowzee looked around, noticing that there seemed to be a rather tall ceiling with a normal staircase rather than a spiraling staircase that led upwards like most towers he had seen recently. He noticed that torches were stuck to the wall, and various parts of the floor seemed to be set on fire, but the fire did not spread. He looked to the stairs, "Come on, we should probably get moving before something else comes along to knock us out of here."

Jak nodded and quickly went towards the stairs. He took note how the floor had patches that were on fire. It didn't spread, it had no heat to it unless you touched it. When you touched it, it felt like a warm blanket.

"This place is strange..." Jak said as he continued along towards the stairway. Once he reached it he looked up it. Noting the stairs had a fairly decent climb to it. However the odd part was the fact that if you looked past the first floor, the image seemed to shift slowly. As if it isn't set in stone. "Really weird..." he continued... He then began to climb the stairs and the previous image he saw quickly vanished... It was as if the stairs didn't go past the more then a single floor at a time. So thus the stairs he saw never really existed, or existed but saw the image of the next stairs heading up as if it was part of it.

Just thinking about it confused him. So he quickly stopped thinking about it and continued.

Once he made it to over the stairs he looked around for a moment. Trying to figure out what was around them at the moment.

The stairs seemed to be doing a strange and weird...thing. Morpheus began to feel his mind release pain signals, and decided to focus ahead and on what he can comprehend. The drowzee had gone up a few steps ahead of the charmeleon, before all of a sudden the stairs disappeared. A floor appeared on the step the charmeleon was on, while Morpheus suddenly fell from a foot or two high onto the floot. He cried out in surprise, landing on his behind.

He looked around, they were suddenly in a room who's image seemed to shimmer and change between a wooded forest and the building they had first been in. He blinked, and noticed there was a strange small yellow looking mouse like pokemon on the other side of the room, its back was towards them, not looking at them or even acknowledging their existence.

He noticed that as he had climbed the stairs and Morpheus was ahead of him. When the image of the stairs vanished ahead and left the floor. It seemed Morpheus was actually on the stairs at some point. When the image vanished he fell. He seemed a bit shocked when this happened as he fell on his rear end.

"You alright?" he asked as he helped the Drowsee up. He then noticed the change in his surroundings. The whole room around him shimmered and changed... It had switched to a forest then back to the room they had been in.

He then noticed on the opposite side of the room. A tiny little yellow mouse looking pokemon had its back turned towards them. It did not even act as if it knew they existed at the moment.

"Sparks?" he said as he approached the tiny mouse pokemon.

The pichu's ear twitched, and it turned its head slowly, an enraged glare on its expression as it looked to the charmeleon. The pichu turned around completely to face them, sparks jumping from its body and slicing around the air as if they were more whip than electricity. Morpheus sighed, "It's not the actual pokemon it's just a guardian, I'd be more careful if I were you, it looks like it's hostile.." the drowzee wondered how many times he would have to repeat this to his clients? They always seemed to think it was always the same pokemon they had met in real life. The pichu seemed to glare at the charmeleon in particular, and moved to attack with a normal Tackle attack, trying to headbutt the charmeleon.
