Iron Tail for Bagon and Merry Memories

The archen swallowed as he peered down the seemingly infinite darkness of the Obsidian Crevice's rift. The thought of falling into the eternal pit of despair made him tremble, so he spoke to himself, "It's okay, just have to stay up here and NOT fall into the pit of doom." The archen shook his feathers to try and get rid of of fluffed up they had appeared. If he looked calm and not so frightened, the odds of a pokemon attacking him would become smaller. Pokemon of the feral nature liked scared prey, and Acro did not want to be seen as a cowardly piece of a prey, even though he was cowardly by nature himself.

Crysel was beside him, looking down into the crevice with a lack of fear compared to Acro. "You have wings. You can at the very least slow your decent so you can avoid a splat. I'd have to hope to be near a wall and dig my claws in, hoping to stop myself Then try to climb all the way back up. Its not easy climbing up sheer walls. If you fall, just glide all the way down. There is sure to be some way up from down there." She looked about at the surroundings "So, for the sake of your nerves, lets find the TM and get out of here quickly. Should be an easy job."

The archen looked back to the aperture nervously, what if his wings didn't help him though? What if they broke on the way down? What if he was too injured to do much? What if he didn't even know he was falling!?
Despite his worries, Acro nodded, "Yeah...i guess that would be the best..." he followed the Sneasel, having accepted the job with her because of his fear of being alone. He was able to accept a job many times and go alone only to find someone to go with him the rest of the way, but he couldn't bring his nerves together today. The voices were growing louder and assaulted him more and more with guilt and sadness. The Archen wondered if he was ever going to become strong enough to protect others. After all, it was the reason that his history with partners was so poor.

Crysel could see Acro was extremely nervous being here. He had been nervous telling her about the job. He had been nervous the entire way here. Now he was a wreck on the mission. If he didn't pull himself together, he was going to get him and/or her killed for some stupid reason of another. "Look, relax. I will make sure nothing gets you. If you start to fall, I'll grab you and pull you up. If you get attacked, I'll defend you. Easy as that. So let me worry, okay? You just look for the TM and we'll be out of here in no time."

Acro cursed at himself inwardly for not being able to hide his worries, now he was making the sneasel worried! Although he did appreciate that the sneasel was trying to make him feel a bit safer.
"O-Okay.."the archen answered. The flightless bird decided that it might be easier to NOT look at the gaping abyss and imminent death if one fell and focus on the boulders and occasional deceased or fallen tree ahead of them. The crevice may have seemed like a place that was crawling with feral and evil pokemon, but right then it seemed rather lifeless and barren.
"I've been here before..." The archen found himself saying for the sake of keeping a conversation going.

Crysel was keeping cool and collected. Same challenges, different environment in her mind. She was keeping calm partly to give Acro an anchor. Someone to look to to remind himself that things could not be so bad if Crysel was so confident and not scared. The only problem was Acro had a terrible habit of focusing on what ifs. So worried about the future that he pays no attention to the present. At the mention of him being here before, she nodded. "Well you survived, so you obviously did something right. Just do whatever you did and you will do fine this time as well."

Acro wasn't too sure about that, last time he had been here he was so weak that his partner, George, had left him and from then on the team had pokemon that just came and went as they discovered the Archen's true power which in his opinion was equal to that of a weedle. He knew he could defeat some pokemon, but there were still many many more out there that were stronger and could beat him to a pulp! The archen spoke, "I wouldn't exactly say it was a successful trip even though I got what I had come for then..."

"You came, you survived, you got what you came for, then went back home. Living to see another day is a victory in itself." Crysel was a pretty damn cool pokemon. The pressure didn't seem to get to her at all. In fact, it would seem that Acro had taken upon himself the pressure Crysel should have felt. Crysel spotted an item off to the side as the walked and slightly changed her course, calling out. "There is something over here, going to see what it is. She went over and picked it up to examine it.

This dice is not existing.

A brown gummi lay in the Sneasel's claws, its round and chewy shape looking a bit tempting to the rock type Archen. The archen ripped his focus away from the gummi back to the conversation, hopping on top of a boulder and perching on it as he looked around from higher ground, "Well...if you call loosing a team mate successful, then I guess it was..." he mumbled to himself, not expecting the sneasel to hear it. The archen looked up at the sky, it was rather dark and blanketed by a seemingly never ending dark and depressing cloud. Acro had been hoping to be able to tell time by finding the sun through pockets in the cloud, but the sky had denied him of the knowledge.

Crysel had heard it and sighed, walking over to the Archen. "Acro, no one is fated to be with another forever. Sometimes you get lost. Sometimes you drift apart. Sometimes they die. But you can't sit around feeling sory for yourself or worrying about the future." She tapped Acro's head with the side of her claw, just enough to get his full attention. "Focus on now. focus on achieving your personal goals. The past is the past and the future is not made yet. What you can do is all done now." Concluded, she slipped the useless to her gummi in Acro's bag and continued on the path.

'Then how come they wont leave me alone...' Acro thought to himself, not saying it out loud. The three voices stirred once more and began their barrage of insults and shoving guilt into the Archen's conscious.
"You killed me!"
"Too weak to even handle finding a stupid berry!"
"Useless!"
The voices were becoming a bit too much for the archen, and forced him to force himself to remain silent for a moment so he wouldn't scream to the heavens for the voices to stop.
"I am doing my personal goals...i'm trying to get stronger...it's just not working no matter what I do...I'm just too weak to do my own goals" he spoke.

Crysel sighed and shook her head. "Excuses... though I can't exactly say much on that." She shook her head. "I have amnesia... the condition, not the move. I can't remember anything of my past. I have this... bad feeling about a certain place. A place. I know that it has to do with my past, but I keep stopping myself from going. But... I will go. I have to. To find out who exactly I am...Tell you what Acro. I will help you get stronger so you need not worry anymore. Just ask me if you need my help and I promise to come if I can."

"That's not a very good thing...if I had amnesia I would probably go right to the place too...It may have something important that could unlock all of the memories. I know a bit about amnesia only to rumors, but its a widely known that they come back though being triggered by certain events, good or bad...also...thank you."
The archen was glad the Sneasel wanted to help him, 'does that mean she agrees that i'm wea-no. I should start thinking more positively...maybe the voices will go away if I stop being so negative...'

Crysel nodded and kept going forward. "Yeah... its like... forgetting to do something, but multiplied by a lot. But I will go there eventually..." She pulled out the Razor Claw from her bag, looking it over as she walked. "Then perhaps I'll know why I feel like evolving right now would be wrong..." She looked only slightly troubled as she looked at the claw she held. But she composed herself and pit it back in her bag.

"Well..whatever it is you're forgetting, I hope you find what you're looking for..or find WHAT to look for...or find-oh you get the point. If you need any help I can try to do as much as I can," The archen replied. He genuinely hoped the Sneasel would find what it needed, he would go with her if she wanted to, since the sneasel was nice enough to come with him on this mission and escort him out of the icy stream when he was alone once more. The archen smiled in attempt to reassure the sneasel about his hopes and feelings, though he wasn't sure how the trip was going to go for the sneasel.
