(OPEN) Secrets of the Frozen Forest

Akuroma trudged through the thick snow of Icicle Woods, his arm held up to shield his eyes from the burning bright sun and its light shining off the snow. His cloak fluttered as the cold wind snapped at it, as if it were desperately attempting to pry it from the outlaw's body. He walked silently, doing his best to ignore the biting cold as he searched the forest for riches or worthy challengers to his power. He knew that this dungeon must hold some. He had once been here and faced an Abomasnow. Wasn't there someone else who was here with him that time? Bah, it didn't matter right now, all that mattered was what to do now.

Just before Jak had gotten close enough to the sneasel's mamoswine, it roared in pain as it collapsed to the ground. Jak then noticed the sneasel go flying off the mamoswine. Unfortunately he wasn't close enough to help it in time as it crashed into a nearby tree. Jak shouted to his mamoswine to stop as he jumped off and ran towards the scene of the incident.

If one could read his emotions, they would be feel a wave of worry surging from him. Just as he reached the pokemon, it seemed Aku had already gotten to her. "Seriously? Bah, I don't care... Just don't kill her--" he started to say but was cut off as a Weavile jumped out slashing the bag the gallade held.

"Crap, I bet that is the pokemon that did this." he growled as he had also jumped out of the way.

Mirage was surprised to see a weavile leap out of the bushes. She smiled, something with claws! If she did happen to get caught, she could pin the blame on that thing if need be. She quickly swiped the items that had fallen onto the ground, stuffing some into her bag she had stolen. She stayed back as the gallade and the weavile prepared to fight, wondering if it would be able to weaken the gallade so that she would be able to finish him if need be. She lurked near a tree, before rejoining the swinubs as they eventually caught up.

Akuroma rolled his eyes at Jak's comment, tossing the Sneasel aside, "If you're so worried, then you take care of the Sneasel." The Gallade stared down at the Weavile, raising his fists up at it. The Gallade and Weavile stood in the branches of the tree for several tense moments, the pair of Pokemon seeming to size each other up. That is until the Weavile's claws gained a dark, shadowy glow, the Pokemon charging forward and slashing at Akuroma.

The Gallade, held his arms up in front of him, the claws striking his arms as the pair began to push against each other. The pair appeared to be in a stalemate, neither side giving in to the other's advances. That is until slowly Akuroma began to gain ground, strength flowing into his arms as the Weavile's dark type attack continued on. Eventually the Gallade swung his arms down and out, pushing the Weavile backwards while also slicing the branches they were standing on. The wood underneath the Weavile gave way, freed from the tree.

Jak growled as Aku had thrown the Sneasel to the side, "I will." he said as he went over and quickly brought the sneasel away from the two pokemon that were beginning to battle.

As Jak had been dragging the sneasel to safety. He noticed something odd along the path of where they had raced, One of the tracks did not match any of the pokemon he had seen during the race.. Something bigger, and with claws. "That is really odd..." he said to himself.

"Hey wake up, you alright..." he said as he shook the sneasel lightly. It seemed she was out cold. He sighed as he looked over to the battle that started to take place.

Mirage waited on the sidelines, staring and calculating. Should she risk remaining here for the chance of more items? The gallade seemed to struggle slightly with the spontaneous weavile, and the charmeleon looked to be busy caring for the sneasel. She thought over the idea of waiting, wondering if she should risk it or wait for rewards. Eh, hell, what could possibly happen? She was confident she could lose these two easily if it came to a chase scene, after all they were still in the complete dark about her mere existence among the swinub. She was going to push it to the limit, and if worst came to worst she could always end their miserable little lives.

Akuroma jumped down after the Weavile, pulling his fist backward as it gained a bright blue glow. The Dark type rolled backwards when it landed in the snow, just barely dodging the Gallade's fist as it slammed into the ground. Large pointed stones erupted from the ground in front of Akuroma, racing towards the Weavile.

The Weavile jumped backwards over and over, avoiding the stones from the Gallade's attack. Akuroma pulled his hand out from the snow, the glow disappearing as he walked around the stones. "Here little Weavile, I've got a present for you," the Gallade said with a smirk, popping his knuckles as he walked past the stones, his hands beginning to glow a bright white. However, the Weavile seemed to have disappeared, hiding from the Psychic type.

Akuroma frowned as he looked around, attempting to find the dark type. The sound of snow crunching under something's feet caught his attention, the Gallade turning to find the Weavile standing among the group of Swinub, one of the small Pokemon clutched in its claws. "Hand over your items, psychic trash, or I'll rip this little guy open," the Weavile said with a wide smirk. Akuroma stared at the Weavile unimpressed. "Go ahead, the Swinub aren't my problem and I won't be the one with bloody hands," Akuroma said as he stood there, a smirk forming on his own face.

The sneasel still seemed to be knocked out as a stray stone seemed to tumbled off the battlefield next to Jak. "Ughh! This isn't going to help... Stay here." he said as he put the sneasel against the tree. However, he silently questioned himself even stating that when it was out cold as he ran from behind the tree.

He then noticed Weavile holding a swinub in its claws, threatening to kill it if Aku didn't hand of his items. Jak knew perfectly well that the outlaw would never do such a thing as he had already shown little care for the sneasel. Why would he have to worry about the swinub...

Jak then silently growled as he built up flames. He then launched a flurry of embers at the pokemon. Seeming to catch it off guard. Jak hoped that it was enough of a surprise that it would drop the poor thing from its claws.

Akuroma quickly charged forward when the flurry of embers distracted the Weavile. The Gallade grabbed the Weavile's face, pushing it with him as he continued to run forward. Akuroma then tossed the shocked Pokemon up into the air, jumping up after it as his hands glowed bright white.

The Gallade clasped his hands together, bringing them down onto the Weavile's body, launching the Pokemon back to the ground in an explosion of snow. The Gallade landed in front of the still body of the Weavile, staring down at it. "Next time be sure of who you're trying to steal from, dark trash," he said, mimicking the insult the Weavile had thrown at him. With that he turned away from the Pokemon, grabbing a couple of sitrus berries from his pack and munching on them.

Jak's attack struck gold as it distracted the Weavile enough to drop the pokemon. Immediately after his attack landed he noticed Akuroma had followed up and threw the pokemon into the air.

Jak watched as he jumped into the air following up with his hands glowing brightly. During this time, Jak ran and grabbed the swinub and pulled it to safety just as the pokemon came crashing back down.

He then turned towards Akuroma. "Hmmm... Glad you didn't attack it right away... I am sure you wouldn't care, but thanks for giving me the opportunity to get the swinub out of there..." he said as he crossed his arms.

"I didn't attack right away because I wanted to see if he'd actually do it. Being a dark type, his emotions are hidden from me, so I couldn't tell if he was lying by him being nervous." The Gallade looked over at the downed Mamoswine and the many Swinub, frowning to himself as he counted them. Other than the other two Mamoswine, which seemed to have continued racing despite their riders jumping off, a Swinub appeared missing. Or perhaps it was just a miscount?

The Gallade shrugged to himself, turning away from the group as he continued on deeper into the woods. "Welp, I got what I came for, so I don't have much reason to stick around right here. If ya need me, I'll be looking around for more opponents and items. So you better not need me."

Jak looked at the gallade with a frown. "Either way..." he stated as he watched the pokemon start turning away from him and the others.

Just before the Gallade had a chance to walk off, "Hey..." he said as he waited for either the Gallade to just start walking or look at him. "If you will... Keep an eye out for that damned spiritomb... Even if you don't want to inform me where he is at... At least kick his ass for me." he said with a slight grin.

Akuroma turned his head back towards the Charmeleon and smirked at his comment. "Depends on if he's stupid enough to challenge me or has something I want." The Gallade then raised his hand up in a slight wave. Akuroma smirked to himself as he continued to trudge through the snow, though he stopped just before the trees around him completely obscured him from the small clearing the Pokemon had found themselves in. "Oh, as a head ups, there's a bunch of Pokemon converging near here. Guess they were attracted to the sounds of my fight with the Weavile."

Jak looked around immediately as the Gallade stated that there was a bunch of pokemon converging nearby. "uggh... You serious?!" he said as he noticed a couple in the area had already came into view. Clearly annoyed by this now known fact that there was indeed a horde of pokemon coming.

"I thought you liked challenges! Why run from them." he said in an attempt to keep the gallade there to help battle them. If the gallade wasn't convinced however... Depending on the numbers here. He would most likely have to flee the area also.

((If your post forms the last page... Leave open for me to post once more to have Jak run depending on conditions... And to have him spot a bag of items he can take...))

Akuroma chuckled as he looked back at the Charmeleon. "I do, but I'm also smart. In any case, I'll be seeing ya later. That is if you make it out of here alive." With that, Akuroma grabbed an orb from his pack, crushing it in his hand. A flash of light enveloped the Gallade before it and Akuroma disappeared.

Jak sighed as the Gallade had vanished from his sight. "That ass... Great, I better find a way out of here quickly..." he said as he looked into his bag. He was sure he brought an escape orb, or some other form of item to help him escape. Even if this wasn't the case, something nearby should help also.

The noises started to build as the pokemon started to converge in the area. He then noticed a bag on the ground nearby... Quickly running towards it he looked inside it. It contains a few items in there... He noticed an orb at the last second within the bag as a several pokemon burst out of the nearby surroundings. Just as they did so he identified the orb as an escape orb... The exact thing he was trying to find within his bag at the moment. He quickly smashed the orb down in front of him as the light enveloped him. The pokemon attempting to jump at him. However before that had happened... He appeared in a town... He didn't quite identify it right away due to the disorienting nature that orbs tend to be.
