The water-drenched flatlands known as the Cattail Marsh certainly weren't much of a spectacle, at least during the day. Not even the rays of the setting sun could fix that. It was about as inviting as it looked, too. One particular glaceon knew from experience that it was annoying to travel through the marsh, if not difficult. Of course, the two birds with him would have little trouble other than occasionally having to move out of the way of a tree, since they could fly. He could have frozen the water and just walked or even skated over it if he still had Ice Beam on his side, but he just HAD to go and use another TM, he couldn't just settle for what he already had.... "Frost Breath", what a ripoff. All it had done to him was take away his ability to use Ice Beam. There was nothing akin to any "Frost Breath" replacing it from what he could tell, he was just down a move due to some faulty TM. Surely, this was the case. It couldn't possibly be that this move in particular was just something that he could not properly use. So he would have to walk through the marsh, but it wasn't like he hadn't done that before. Besides.... it would be night soon. He'd insisted on them coming later in the day for that specific reason. For the light show. "So, Linus, do you know why I wanted to come here so late?", he asked as he stopped at the edge of the water, taking a moment to speak to his companions before getting to the "fun" part. Nearby, in a rather easy to climb tree, a little ball of brown fluff was sitting on a branch over the marsh in the hopes of drying off. He'd heard this place had a pretty lightshow during the nights, but he hadn't expected it to be so wet.... despite it being a marsh. He'd decided to sit in a tree, away from the water and hopefully safe from any lurking dangers, as he waited for the promised lights. The trip here was a pain, he hoped it would at least be worth it. | Linus awoke to his head being dumped into the murky waters below. He flailed his wings, forcing himself up and out of the water. He forced his weary body off of the lilypad and into the air, wanting to get away from any dangerous that lay in wait for him that had decided to drown him. He gave a squawk, landing in the branch of a tree, shaking water off of him. He was gasping for breath, as his feathers shook to and fro, flinging water everywhere. "The hell...?" he spoke, confused as to what had happened and did not quite remember the pain of the electricity, just that it hurt like all hell.
Acro watched the honchkrow suddenly spring to life. He remained silent, merely watching. He did not appear depressed much anymore, but was really pulling one of those masks that many usually pull over his expression. He did not want the goomy to cry, but he could not help but to feel depressed. He allowed the goomy to crawl on him once again, before he stood up and approached the jolteon and glaceon, not saying a word.
The goomy was happy to see that Mammy stopped being depressed, and crawled onto the back of the archeops once more, standing atop his head like a Goomy-Hat made specifically for archeops. The goofy grin was back on his face, as he failed to realize that the jolteon was making electrical noises and that things were a lot more depressing than it seemed.

| Sova watched as the honchkrow flew up into the air, suppressing the urge to laugh at Linus' frantic confusion. "I thought maybe you needed a bath.", he jokingly responded, figuring this would explain that it was he who knocked the crow into the water.
Keith then took over, desperate to explain himself to the bird and seek forgiveness. "I-I.... I electrocuted you.... O-on accident! Then.... I asked him to wake you up so I could say sorry. I'm.... SO sorry. I really didn't mean to.", he explained, then waited for the bird to lash out at him. Maybe attack him.... though that would probably end with him getting electrocuted and knocked out again, since the jolteon didn't really know how to turn off the electricity, or if there was even a way to turn it off.
The glaceon almost immediately got bored of listening to the jolteon's awkward attempt at an apology and looked back to see what Acro was doing. He saw the bird approaching the group, still with the goomy. It was kind of odd that this goomy seemed so attached to Acro, but he wasn't going to judge if the archeops didn't mind enough to say anything about it.

| Linus looked back to the group, a bit disgruntled by the glaceon's laughter at his misery, but looked to the jolteon, "Oh...uh...it's fine I guess, I mean, i'm not dead aren't I?" he was a bit confused to the Jolteon's sudden burst of emotion. "Hey, where did that eevee go?" he asked the group, wonder if the eevee had wandered off without their noticing. The honchkrow looked around, not noticing a dark figure rising from the root behind Keith, who approached him swiftly and cackled manically and loudly.
Sudden crackling sounds! The goomy squeaked in fear as the scary sounds came from the Jolteon. He crawled into Mammy's arms once more, whining and crying for the noise to stop. His body quaked and quivered in fear, terrified of the electric noises, "Taffy! Taffy!" it cried at the Jolteon.
Acro sighed as the goomy was terrified by the sudden noises, begging to be held once more. What was he, this thing's mother? He figured that they would have to find the mother, since he was not capable of even protecting Linus. He glared at the mismagius, a purple glow surrounding him as boulders began to float around him, "There's the mismagius, don't use physical attacks," his croaking voice repeated to the group, the depression affecting it slightly.

| Keith spun around as a terrifying sound came from somewhere. He looked under him to see a ghost materializing from.... the root!? His fur began sparking much more audibly due to his shock and fear as he stumbled back and fell into the water. For a moment he was worried about himself, until he heard the pained scream of the glaceon.... in the water.... near him.
Sova prepared to attack the mismagius as it appeared, opening his jaws and forming a ball of black and purple energy in front of him. However, a sudden jolt of pain went through his body as the jolteon fell into the water just a few feet away from him, electrocuting him. His focus was completely destroyed and the Shadow Ball dissipated as he screamed in pain. For a moment, he froze in pain, but he forced himself to pull it together. He wanted to just run in the opposite direction of the jolteon until the shocking stopped.... but he needed to PROTECT him.... to make up for cursing his fellow eeveelution to a life of instability without even a warning.
Instead of collapsing or running away, he took a shaky step in the shallow water as his fur froze over, then another, then.... he was on on the root in front of the mismagius in just a moment, leaving a trail of water and ice behind him due to the speed and chill gained by Ice Shard. He spun on his front paws as two dark spheres formed at once, one in front of his mouth as he gritted his teeth in anger and pain and one behind him as his tail hooked around it, generating the shadowy energy there. He first released the Shadow Ball created at his tail by outstretching his tail halfway through the spin, sending it flying into the mismagius with a dark explosion.
Not missing a beat, he opened his jaws as he prepared to fire the second of the two dark orbs. Within a second of the first, he finished his spin and snapped his jaws shut, sending it into the mismagius with another explosion of dark energy, sending the ghost flying out the other end of the explosion and into the water with a splash. "Don't even LOOK at him.", he muttered just in case the ghost was still conscious, perhaps getting a bit overprotective.

| Acro watched as the Glaceon made swift work of the Mismagius, he made his way towards the Mismagius and apprehended it with his explorer badge. It was sent back to justice's hands, and Acro's mission had been completed, "One more," he spoke rather dully. His mind was someplace else, and did not seem to be amused by this current situation in the slightest, in reality he really just wanted to go home...again. Why did horrible things have to happen every time he went out on a mission?
"Taffy..." the goomy cried, its eyes watering as it glared at the one who used to be called "Cupcake". The goomy remained in Mammy's grip, staring stubbornly at Keith as if he was the plague. The many nights alone during storms did not assist in allowing the youngster to enjoy storms very much or tolerate electric types. He had been alone in a dark place, with thunder rumbling overhead and scaring the living daylights out of him with no one to ensure him that everything would be okay.
Linus looked down at the events below, not having the time to react, "Well...that was taken cared of swiftly..." he mumbled to himself as Acro apprehended the outlaw. The honchkrow returned to his root that he had stood upon before he was so brutally shocked by the Jolteon. He looked to the others, "Erm...are you all okay?"

| Before Keith could even get out of the water or apologize, the glaceon had gone off to attack the ghost. He watched and found himself beginning to worry for his own safety as he saw the brutal attacking method. What if the glaceon decided to attack HIM next for shocking him? There was no way he would be able to fight this guy one on one, let alone considering the possibility of the archeops and rather large murkrow assisting the glaceon. But he reminded himself they were members of RESCUE teams.... Still, he didn't want anyone to be mad at him.
Then the "murkrow" questioned if everyone was alright. "Y-yeah....", he quietly replied, unsure of whether he was meant to be included in "all" or not. The audibility of his fur sparking lessened to indicate that his mood was lightening back to normal, as he'd managed to calm himself down somewhat. Then he noticed the goomy seemed to be displeased with him for something.... calling him "Taffy", the same thing it'd called the poliwhirl. Did that mean it didn't like him!? His fur sparking suddenly amped up in audibility again as he felt his heart sink. He didn't really know what to say.... so he just gave a sad look in the direction of the archeops and the goomy.
Sova turned away from the mismagius and looked up to the honchkrow who was speaking. After Keith had replied, relieving him to hear that the jolteon was fine, he spoke up next. "I'm fine.", he replied in a rather agitated tone. He then dropped his body temperature yet again to freeze the water around him as he began walking across the water's surface, freezing it to avoid being electrocuted again. He headed in the direction of the froakie he had yet to apprehend, as he was unsure of which one had been the mission objective.

| Acro and Linus watched as the glaceon apprehended the outlaw. The archeops wondering why the Jolteon was giving him a weird look. He looked down to the goomy, who seemed to be giving the electric type a dirty look. "Knock it off," he told the goomy, before placing the goomy on a nearby boulder. He was not sure what to do now, the emotions from earlier still lingered, his day ruined. He had a goomy following him around, he had messed up the simplest task in the world, and Linus had gotten hurt because of him. How else could this day go wrong? The Goomy blinked, wondering why Mammy had set him down on the boulder. His tears seemed to grow a bit larger, as some leaked from his eyes and went down his slimy body. He looked to Mammy, begging to be picked up again, but the Archeops seemed to ignore him for now. Perhaps Mammy was busy? "Well I guess that's good..." Linus mumbled, watching the group below and waiting for someone to get them moving. He did not know why, but Acro seemed a bit...off? He was not sure, but the Archeops seemed to hold himself differently. Had something happened while he was out like a light? The honchkrow took a deep breath, sighing and waiting for the group to move out. Linus: 5 Acro: 40 Shinka: 4 Acro Roll - Kat carried out 10 launched of one Cattail Marsh :

| (Sova's energy: 32) (Keiths' energy: 5) Sova reached the remaining froakie and tapped his badge on it, sending it away to be handled by authorities, then made his way back by skating along the path he'd created. "Everyone ready to go?", he asked as he skidded to a stop near the edge of his path, the ice already beginning to spread. He wouldn't have had much of a problem with the water if not for the fact that there was a jolteon nearby who would likely be electrifying the water the whole time. He could handle the shock for a short time, but eventually it would be too much. The glaceon had a limit just like everyone else, after all. He'd noticed there was a distinct lack of positivity among the group, but he couldn't think of anything to cheer the others up. He wasn't exactly in the best mood either, so it wasn't like he could blame any of them for being upset. He knew why they'd all be upset too. Acro had been mentally berated by the frogadier, Keith was literally a walking mood swing and had accidentally hurt multiple members of the group, Linus had been getting into unlucky situations left and right.... and.... the goomy.... just seemed to feel what ever Acro felt. He wondered what the archeops planned to do with his new tag-along. Keith felt even worse as the goomy started crying. It seemed to him like it was pretty much solely his fault. He wanted to try to comfort it, but he didn't know what to say and couldn't touch it or he'd just shock it. He nodded and quietly followed along through the water when the glaceon asked if everyone was ready. He didn't want to reply. He was too worried about doing something else wrong. Maybe it was silly at this point, but he was still hoping to be allowed to join the glaceon's team after this. Sova - Lord E V carried out 10 launched of one Cattail Marsh :

| Acro's wing covered his face in a bit of a face-wing, as the Goomy began crying and Keith had been looking at the goomy and looking more depressed at the goomy got upset. Could this day just end? Acro had to admit that this had to be one of the most annoying missions he had ever gone on, and why? Because he was a big idiot who had caused all of this. It was HIS fault the goomy was crying, so it was HIS fault that Keith was now looking upset. It was HIS fault that he had not defeated the frogadier sooner, so it was HIS fault that Linus had gotten hurt. Everything was just his fault. "Yeah," he spoke nonetheless, "I'm ready."
Linus continued looking down on the group from his root that looked almost fitting as a throne. He nodded when the glaceon questioned if they were ready to move out, he was definitely ready. He wanted to get moving, the sooner they got the missions done, the sooner they could leave and he could stop looking at everyone's depressed faces. It was almost making him depressed just from seeing them. Didn't his mother used to say something about emotions being contagious? 'I hope I don't catch it...' he thought, as he waited for the group to actually start moving.
The goomy began to fully cry now that Mammy seemed to refuse to pick him up, his bawling becoming extremely obvious as he begged for Mammy to pick him up, "Mammmyyy!" he whine. He continued to whine. Not too far off, a wiscash had heard the bawling. He blinked, and started moving in the direction of the crying, wondering why someone was sobbing so badly, and if he could perhaps cheer them up?

| "Acro, that thing's gonna draw attention if you don't keep it happy. I'm not one to turn down a fight, but as far as I know, you're not quite as interested in that as me. May wanna look into that.", Sova suggested as he began to grow sick of the whining. He also didn't want to put Linus and Keith at risk. Of course, they also couldn't just leave the goomy here alone, so this meant they couldn't get going until Acro solved his little problem.
Then he noticed something approaching in the water. Probably an enemy like he had said. He slowly approached a tree root, connecting his icy path to it. "Keith, get out of the water, come here.", he requested in a serious and demanding tone. He wanted this jolteon as close to him as possible without being electrocuted if they were attacked.
Keith stopped when the glaceon stopped, listening to his words. He agreed, but he didn't want to say anything. What if his words shocked someone? Okay, maybe that was a bit unrealistic, but he could still offend or agitate someone. When the glaceon called his name, he almost thought he'd done just that, being demanded to get out of the water and come to him. He did as he was told, seeing that the glaceon had previously been able to run through the water while he was electrifying it so there was no way he could hope to fight or get away.... plus, he didn't want to just come to such a harsh conclusion.
He climbed onto the root, then walked carefully onto the path so as not to slip, waiting for some harsh reaction by the glaceon.... but there was none. Sova simply turned and began skating along his path in the direction of the archeops, only saying "Come on."

| Acro did not respond, only taking a deep breath, trying to contain his frustrations. He turned to the kid, "Hey, be quiet please?" he asked of it, only for the crying to increase. He picked up the kid, and found that it stopped crying, still sniffling, but not outright bawling loudly. Acro blinked, setting the goomy back down on the rock and triggering another fit of bawling before quickly picking it back up once more. So, this thing wanted to be picked up? The archeops held the goomy, still highly frustrated, fantastic. Now he was causing what could potentially be a source of attraction for angry pokemon. Just great.
Linus watched the moving shape in the water, "Is that...a Wiscash?" he asked, having heard of the pokemon from legends he used to overhear. He remembered something about the beast being able to cause earthquakes, and eat anything that was alive whole. He shivered at the thought of being eaten, though the pokemon was too small for him to actually BE eaten by.
The goomy felt himself being picked up, and silenced his bawling, happy that Mammy was picking him up once more. His happiness was soon taken away, as he was placed back down again. He started up his crying once more, and found that he was immediately picked back up once more. So, all he had to do was cry to get Mammy to pick him up? That seemed relatively easy...he stored this knowledge away in the back of his mind, keeping it safe to use for a later date.

| The two eeveelutions watched as the creature approached, Sova being ready to attack and Keith being ready to.... sit there and be useless. The jolteon didn't really want to interfere if a fight started, since he was so dangerous to the others.
"Yeah, that looks like a wishcash.", Sova replied to the honchkrow as the large fish made its way to the group, focusing its gaze on Acro. At least, he THOUGHT it was looking at Acro.
In reality, the wishcash was looking at the goomy, curious why it had been crying and if he could do anything to help. He raised his mouth above the water and spoke in a deep yet friendly voice, "Is there a problem? Anything I can do to help?"
Sova wanted to urge the giant fish to take the goomy the instant it proved to be friendly and interested in helping, but that was Acro's decision, not his. Besides, they didn't know for SURE if the wishcash was friendly yet. Maybe it just wanted to get the goomy away from them and eat it or something. But it was Acro's burden, so it was Acro's decision what to do with it, so the glaceon remained silent for the time being.

| The goomy looked at the wiscash, and saw that it was staring at him. He blinked away the tears, the cogs in his mind turning and turning as he went through his meager vocabulary in attempt to come up with a nickname for this strange fat looking pokemon...wait...that was it! "Fatty?" the goomy asked it, wondering if it would appreciate the new nickname it was given. The thought of the jolteon seemed to slip from his mind, as the new arrival sapped his attention from the scary Taffy to the new Fatty.
"Er...this Goomy...kid thing...wont be quiet when I put him down..." Acro spoke, deciding to admit to their current problem. He wondered why this wiscash was so friendly compared to the other pokemon. A ruse? A citizen? A local? The archeops looked to the wiscash, wondering if there was some kind of alternate motive to this wiscash's friendliness.
The honchkrow remained silent as his team leader did the talking. He looked to the large fish pokemon, wondering the same thing as his leader. However the honchkrow did not really care, the goomy was not his problem, and it was also not him he was attached to. Though he did have some slight concern, what if the goomy was subjected to the same curse Acro's teammates usually went through?

| The wishcash chuckled at the odd nickname, not seeming to take any offense to it. He was a bit large and he didn't care. "Then why are you putting him down? He must like being held, which makes sense for a child. A father should know this.... You haven't been a father very long, have you?", he responded to the archeops, keeping a rather cheery look on his face. It made him happy to be able to help what he assumed was an inexperienced father.
Sova tried to suppress the urge to laugh, but he just couldn't do it. The wishcash thought Acro was this thing's dad and it thought Acro was its mother. This was too good. He couldn't help but laugh a bit at this, but the wishcash didn't seem to care what he was laughing at.
Keith simply remained silent, knowing this was none of his business. He directed his gaze from the wishcash and the archeops over to Sova once the glaceon started laughing. The whole situation didn't seem all that funny to him, so he was a bit confused about the laughter. Then again, he wasn't in a very good mood right now.

| Acro shook his head, "er, no i've never been a father at all..." the archeops spoke, 'nor had one really' he added on silently. He looked at the wiscash, wondering if perhaps it was a parent itself, or at least was at some point since he seemed to hint towards having experience as one. The archeops continued to hold the goomy, not wanting to put the child down only for it to bawl again and attract unwanted attention of ferals looking for an easy meal that was a child bawling for his mother as if he were lost.
Linus remained where he was, in the same boat as Kieth. This was none of his business, though he thought it a bit rude for the Glaceon to laugh at the misery of the situation. What if that goomy got extremely hurt by being around Acro? What if Acro was buffeted by a powerful wind while flying with it, causing the goomy to fall off and go splat on the ground?
The goomy giggled happily as Fatty accepted his nickname and seemed if anything happy about it. "Fatty Fatty!" The goomy looked to Mammy, then Spoop, then Cluckoo, then...Taffy. The goomy frowned upon sight of the Jolteon, being reminded of his presence. The goomy's grin faded, and he looked away quickly, luckily not crying, but not exactly happy to see the electric type.
