| First topic message reminder :Sosio gazed at the forest, so shrouded with thoughts, she couldn't even think. The trees were mellow, yet she was filled with excitement as she strolled down the autumn lane, breathing the crisp air as if it was made of a gold that would never last long enough. The leaves reflected the golden air feel, in all shades of orange and yellow. Even the trees that were brown seemed colorful, whether covered in sap or moss or nothing at all. The amount of trees was almost overwhelming, the need to land on them rising. But she was stuck to traveling the ground as her wing lay crippled awkwardly on her side. - Sosio's Energy Level:
TBA (I think I have her starting amount wrong, I'll be checking)

| If it wouldn't cause unneccessary damage, Ned would now have slammed his face against a variety of surfaces. Did the Flying type really believe for him never to have done battle before? "As a matter of fact I have done battle before. Just because I do not like to fight and am not proficient at it, that doesn't mean that I have never tried. And of course I will have to participate. Not doing so would lower our chances, which obviously is rather negative." Of course Ned could just keep on hiding, hoping that the enemies had only spotted the Normal type, but in doing so he would prove for himself to be no different from the very thing he had worked so hard to get away from. Carefully the Nincada stepped out from his hiding place, preparing for battle. | |

| Sosio listened very carefully. It was often hard to understand most Pokemon's strange vocabulary. The child at heart never had to learn such things, only how to succeed in battle. She stood there with a jittery head, tilting it back and forth quickly as she often shifted. From what she could understand, Ned had battled before.
She stopped moving and stared and okay, then jumped into battle. Even after the insect crawled out, the wild Pokemon had yet to notice another presence was before them. Sosio pecked anyone who came before her, so long as it was an enemy, of course. Repetitive usage of certain moves would often annoy other Pokemon, especially if that move were super-effective.

| Ned would have rolled his eyes at the Normal type's random attacks, would he be capable of such an action. Didn't Sosio know that it'd be a much better idea to focus on one enemy at a time to reduce the amount of pressure put on oneself by the foes more quickly since one of them would then be unable to fight back? Well, as much as he hated to do so, the Bug type would have to do some battling as well. With a leap the insect landed on the Furret's back, using a Leech Life attack to drain some of its energy and to increase his own fighting abilities a bit. It wasn't a strong attack, but there wasn't much else he could do, especially with the Fletchling randomly pecking around.

| Seeing that Ned now decided to attack the Furret, Sosio stopped holding back both Pokemon at the same time and went for the Phantump. It wasn't like Sosio had a choice in attacks now; the only mkve that affected it was her Peck, which was super-effective anyway.
Sosio's attack style often varied, depending on how the situation was. In that earlier case, she was trying to hold back both Pokemon to give time for the Nincada to prepare, or even choose he wasn't going to battle. She mostly liked to mix up her attacks, but this time, she didn't really have much of a choice. Repetitive pecking it is.

| The Furret whose back Ned was trying to hold onto obviously wasn't all that pleased with the idea of having its energy drained, trying to shake off the Nincada as quickly as possible. Now most bugs weren't exactly strong creatures and Ned especially could be seen as physically weak, mostly due to having lied in wait instead of walking around or doing battle most of his time. Thus the Normal type's attempts quickly proved to be successful, launching the Ground type against a nearby tree. From there the Nincada fell to the ground, groaning in pain. The groaning intensified further when he felt himself tackled into the tree by the very same Furret which hadn't taken too kindly to the small insect. Maybe Ned should just have stayed under that tree... | |

| Every time she would Attack, she would also often retreat a tiny bit to give the ghost type some room to flip out in anger, thrusting itself at her. In one of her ba kings, she found herself dangerously close to the other enemy. Whipping around, she found out exactly what it was doing. Cornering her acquaintance to a tree and bashing him repeatedly.
Sosio trusted herself upwards, flapping her only able wing to get herself a little higher, and dived in feet-first onto the ferret's head. Her claws dug into its eyes, caused it to scream and whip it's head and neck-kind of like how a dog does when killing its prey-and staggered straight into a tree off to the side. Although that attempt did knock the clawing Fletchling off, causing her to flip to the ground with scrapes, it only made it worse for itself, because the falling motion with gripped claws tore at its face. Before it could scream at all, the Fletchling grabbed its muzzle with her talons, clamping it shut, and in the action of getting up, slammed its face into the ground, muffling it.
The Phantump now spun in to get Sosio off his own acquaintance, yet didn't even help the other wild Pokemon. Instead, it attacked the bird, who still stood in front of the weakened insect, eyes burning with the fire inside.

| Ned meanwhile was only barely able to notice all the things that were happening around him, still rather dizzy from being slammed into that tree. What was it about him that made all the other Pokémon want to attack him? Was there a "kick me" sign on his back? In any case - the Bug type believed for it to be better not to attack as his dazed state could easily lead to him hurting the Flying type by accident, and as much as he hated to admit it, he would be even more screwed without her help right now. There would be a day on which he would finally shed this wretched skin and be able to fight for himself. Hopefully it would be soon... - Savato carried out 1 launched of one Fallen Leaf Copse :

| Sosio would've asked Ned if he were all right, but that would risk getting pummeled by a haunted stump. Instead, she finished off the Phantump. Now they only had to focus on the other Pokemon, who--where did the other even go? It appears to have gone to get help, which was bad for the two explorers.
"I think it's gone to get help! What do we do? Should we flee while we have the chance?" | |

| "Wha-...what we shoul-..." It was obvious that the Nincada wasn't quite thinking clearly just yet. Wood was a hard material and a bug's skull wasn't the most resilient material in the world. Slowly however the fog clouding his mind and slowing his thoughts lifted, and with a final shake of the head, the Nincada could think clearly once more. "I...", he began. "I think you're right. They know we're here now. This place has lost its value as a hideout. If we're going to be huge targets, we might as well be huge, moving targets. I doubt it'll help much, but we can't afford to take any chances." | |

| Sosio stood up straight and tall, her body off-center by the y-axis from her legs. "Awesome."
Powerful, exciting music blared in her head, that of which sounded like adventure, fire, and all things exciting. She straightened and bent down, nearly touching her beak to the ground in front of Ned.
"Ride?" She asked simply. "I can go pretty fast, and no doubt I can outrun them. They won't even be running, I bet."
If the Nincada refused, Sosio sure hoped he could go fast, because the Fletchling planned on high-tailing outta here.

| Then however a scent reached the Nincada's antennae. It was a frightening scent and definitely didn't mean any good. Stammering, Ned began to speak once more: "I...I think we might have to wait with our departure. Either the hit on the head I took is making me hallucinate or there is an Ursaring looking right at us. Either way we might be finding ourselves in a bit of a pickle right now." Ned could only think that the strange calm he was in was due to his threat accessment not yet running on full power again. Rationally he knew that facing an Ursaring would mean for them to be so very screwed, but somehow he couldn't bring himself to be afraid, worried even. Hopefully that would go away soon. Hopefully the Ursaring would go away soon too. | |

| Sosio got up and spread her legs, head low, and ever so slowwwwly turning towards where Ned was looking. At the sight of the Ursaring, standing there, staring them down, Sosio slowly got up with her legs close together, moving them one at a time. Sosio faced it fully, and then tucked her wings, and slowly began to back away from it. It wasn't doing anything.
Sosio never faced anything so huge, brute-like, and powerful before, and she really didn't want to. At that, she spun around and broke into a run, bending her neck down to scoop up Ned as she passed him, bouncing him onto her back. She suppressed a shiver upon feeling his grippy legs, and ran as fast as she possibly could. Large things were often slow. Maybe she could even dash right through the whole dungeon in the act of fleeing.

| It all happened so quickly that Ned barely was able to notice being picked up and carried. Only as he already was positioned on the Fletchling's back did he comprehend the situation he had gotten himself into. It certainly wasn't a pleasant one. Now - what was it he could do to help his companion a bit? Most of his attacks required physical contact, so using them would be impractical at best and foolish at worst. So - this left him with only two attacks. One actually. This other one was one he would never use, no matter what happened. Its power simply was too great, the danger too big. And so Ned did the only thing he had left for him to do - hoping to hinder the Ursaring's progress or to at least obscure its vision he used the attack Silver Wind.

| Sosio heard the sound of roaring and the use of an attack. A thick wind was summoned and used to attack the bear, which slowed the Ursaring down and practically gave the Fletchling a boost. Speaking of boosts... She used Agility while in the run to increase her speedy abilities, now practically going four times as fast as that bear ever could.
Sosio knew for sure they would lose him, but whether they would smack right into another Pokemon again, she didn't know.
The terrain began to have an incline now, natural for a sort of island in the middle of a lake. The place seemed much bigger than Sosio thought because of all the trees in the way, but she made sure not to crash or grow distracted. The top of the hill would be the center of the island, and the Fletchling didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing in the situation. She hoped Ned would at least say something about where they needed to go.

| Feeling the Fletchling go faster even, Ned was beginning to have trouble holding onto the bird. Its small frame made it difficult to hold onto in the first place and the high speed wasn't making things any easier. At least it seemed that the Ursaring had been slowed down a bit by the Nincada's attack. It was worrying to him however that he was forced to go in the direction the Flying type was running into however, going by the poor survival instincts it had displayed before. Knowing his luck they'd just run into even more, even stronger and even faster Pokémon until eventually they wouldn't be able to flee anymore. And that was the reason why Nincada usually stayed in hiding whenever they could. Why was this so difficult for other species to understand? | |
