| First topic message reminder :Sosio gazed at the forest, so shrouded with thoughts, she couldn't even think. The trees were mellow, yet she was filled with excitement as she strolled down the autumn lane, breathing the crisp air as if it was made of a gold that would never last long enough. The leaves reflected the golden air feel, in all shades of orange and yellow. Even the trees that were brown seemed colorful, whether covered in sap or moss or nothing at all. The amount of trees was almost overwhelming, the need to land on them rising. But she was stuck to traveling the ground as her wing lay crippled awkwardly on her side. - Sosio's Energy Level:
TBA (I think I have her starting amount wrong, I'll be checking)

| Sosio bent her knees, her feathers overlapping her legs and feet, making them no longer visible. She breathed slower now, calming into a somewhat meditative state as she stared ahead, keeping an eye out for enemies. To amuse her the least, she watched the falling leaves, most of them as orange as her head. What really stood out was the bright pink bow on her head, that could attract the attention of many a Pokemon. That might be a problem...
But before she started worrying, the Fletchling noticed a seed on the ground. She knew she wanted it, like any other item she could find, whether they were useless or not. She kept low to the ground and snuck over, an adventurous song blaring in her mind. She snatched it up in her beak and headed back, looking about for any "intruders." She fluffed her feathers proudly and stood tall. "A seed." she said in a low voice, dropping it on the ground before going back in her plain sitting state. She will use it as a weapon later.

| "Do you think I'm blind?", Ned replied, not understanding why the Flying type had felt the need to announce her findings. "Okay, I AM nearly blind, but I can still sense what is going on around me. Still that is no reason to keep talking and alert others to our position.", he continued to whisper. What was this Pokémon thinking she was doing? She definitely wasn't of any help - the opposite rather. If only she could just leave, then his chances of not being spotted would increase dramatically. But no, she had to keep sitting around here. The only way to make his hiding place more obvious involved neon signs and air horns. But eventually she would have to grow bored and leave. Right? | |

| Sosio was at first surprised at Ned's harsh tone, then tilting her head. She popped her head up when he claimed he was blind. "Blind, really? So you see with your feet or something? You don't have those antennae-dealies I see most insects have. Then again, you have those little mouthy thingies..." She decided to shut up. Ned seemed aggravated, but by what? The Fletchling thought she was being a friendly bird by helping him out and fighting for him, but he seemed to be taking it all the wrong ways. She got the feeling he didn't like her. She only wanted to be nice, but he didn't seem to understand that. | |

| "These "thingies" as you have referred to them indeed are antennae. I navigate by using smell instead of sight. Can be useful in some situations and quite the hindrance in others. Since my species generally doesn't get out to the surface often, it is more useful for us to rely on senses that do not require light to function." Maybe the Flying type should go and read a book some day. With her lack of knowledge, she wouldn't have an easy time in this world. Knowledge was power and the more you knew about your opponents and friends, the more easily you could defeat them or get them to agree with you. So a basic understanding of Pokémon was something the Fletchling definitely should strive for. | |

| Sosio cocked her head up and down, even though there was nothing past Ned to see. "Woahhhhhhhhh," she breathed, patting her beak with her wings as if imagining she had antennae, too. "Do you think you will gain eyesight when you evolve?"
She flapped and folded her wings awkwardly again. They were injured, but it would still be a long while before they healed again. She could use them, but only for short amounts at a time. They were better than they used to be, and that was the only good thing.

| "Possible. I've never thought about it before and thus never asked the Ninjask I knew. And the Shedinja never really were talkactive anyway." While he did not want to admit it, the Fletchling had asked an interesting question. Now Ned did not really have any problems with his lack of eyesight, but it was an intriguing idea to imagine suddenly being able to sense the world in a completely new way. But...first he would have to manage to evolve at all. And for that he would have to wait and hide in safety. Something the Normal type and its bright red head weren't exactly helpful with.

| Sosio was learning. She never heard of those pokemon before. Nincada must have two evolutions. Whether they were in sequence or by choice, like Eevee, she didn't know. Even how, like leveling or other, was unknown to her. She didn't even know whether she herself could evolve or not.
Instead of her energetic replies as usual, she remained silent. She began to listen again. The forest was always moving, whether just the leaves or actual pokemon. She was suddenly aware of her loudness, and whispered "I hope you evolve soon." Of course, she wished the same for herself, and who knew how far away each of they were from it.
(Actually, I was referring to my last roll when I got the seed, which I forgot to write down and couldn't see how much energy it subtracted, but I could do a roll next post.)

| Ned simply let out a defeated sigh. "Oh, believe me, I do too, Sosio. I do too..." Indeed the Nincada was starting to feel hopeless. He had waited for such a long time already, but still there was not a single sign of him having gotten even one step closer to evolution. If he had just stayed back with the clan, then he definitely would have evolved already. Maybe he should have...NO, he should not have stayed back there. He had made the correct descision to flee from the atrocities these Pokémon committed and he would never return there, even if it would cost him his evolution. | |

| Sosio could understand perfectly. Evolution was rare and coveted, some had it easily, while others had to wait years. The worst part was the waiting, because most didn't even know how long it would be, and it would kill never knowing.
With her wings, she gathered the surrounding red leaves, pulling them closer to her for camouflage. The only part that stayed revealed was her orange head, which looked like a leaf alone, and her eyes. Her shiny black beak was covered with a few leaves to prevent any notice. Perhaps this would be a good time to heal. To finally rest for once and allow her wing to regenerate its broken bones and torn muscles. Perhaps encountering this calm, do-nothing Pokemon was for the best of her.

| Seeing that the Fletchling was remaining silent again now, Ned decided not to say a word either. After all any noise could reveal their location to feral Pokémon and if some of them were to find them things could get ugly rather quickly. Being in a situation like this had made Ned wonder - had something of the sort ever happened to a member of the clan? Probably not but then again they most likely would have suppressed any notion of something like this being possible even. How well had they fared? Had those others had the same thoughts? And had any of them ever managed to evolve? Slowly but surely Ned was losing hope... | |

| Sosio stared out of the leaf cloak she made, her eyes narrowed on the surroundings. She felt like a ninja. The poor little hyperactive Fletchling had to hold back the desire to hum a ninja theme, or even let out some sweet fighting-type mock moves. She already seemed queer enough to any other pokemon, so the last thing she needed to do was appear even more so. She tried to clear her mind of all thoughts. She believed that if she did that, she wouldn't have the urge to move, or even have any involuntary movements come up, like the shaking she was trying to hold back. Whether this was ADHD or not, she didn't know, as she was never diagnosed, considering she never visited a doctor. Ever. 8-(roll) - aMEWzing carried out 1 launched of one Fallen Leaf Copse :

| Ned had no idea what the Fletchling was doing - or trying to do rather. If she wanted to hide in leaves all day, then she was welcome to do so, but why couldn't she simply do it far, far away from Ned's own hiding place? It wasn't as if leaves were an exceptionally rare commodity after all. Was there something the Bug type was doing wrong? There had to be a reason all those Pokémon kept swarming him, dragging him along with them or - just as it had happened in this case - sitting around his hiding place for no good reason, endangering his safety by increasing the chance for him to be found by whatever vile creatures there may be living deep within this forest. What had he done to deserve this? (E=10) - Savato carried out 1 launched of one Fallen Leaf Copse :

| Sosio listened to her surroundings. She felt the vibrations of the earth beneath her feet, like normal birds would've used to find worms underground. Staying still like this kind of gave her a headache, so she wanted just one tiny excuse to move again. She had to stop herself from reaching her claws upwards to press them harshly against her head to stop the pains.
That was about when she heard something, for once. It definitely wasn't her partner, because he wouldn't make such a noise. It sounded like a crying owl, from what Sosio could interpret. Suddenly, from behind her, she felt a faint impact and a startling screech, but it didn't scare her too much to be dealt damage. The failed astonish immediately made the wild attacking pokemon confused, which gave Sosio time to turn around and peck it, hopefully threatening it enough with a super-effective attack to scare it off.

| Yes, there had to have been something he'd been doing wrong. Not only a Furret but a Fletchling also had appeared in front of the duo, most likely attracted by the Flying type sitting around. Ned knew that having her around was a bad idea, but he just couldn't get her to leave. And now they were faced with the consequences. Somehow they would have to defeat these two Pokémon. And while the Phantump should be a relatively easy target for the bird, there was nothing either of them could use that would be particularly effective against the Furret. Furthermore there were many reasons to doubt the Flying type's fighting abilities, making the situation look even more grim than it already was. Fun times...

| Sosio was somewhat glad Pokemon had appeared. Not only was the Fletchling bored out of her mind, but the little insect could seriously use some experience. It seemed like he had never battled before in his life, which to most would seem terrible. If hiding was his only defense, how could he possibly survive for very long?
A secondary Enemy. It wasn't too bad, just a casual Furret, so the enemies they faced wouldn't be a harsh first-go for her acquaintance. If it were a rock-type they were facing, it would be doom. It was a rock-type in the first place that inflicted Sosio's wing. It should seem she'd be more afraid of rocks than bugs-just as ridiculous to others-but still she feared the creatures that she was strong against, and her ancestors ate.
"Are you gonna give it a go, or just leave it all to me? Once you see what battling is like, maybe you'll think differently."
