A First Time for Everything

Her first job as a guild member. Funny, that her life had taken a turn like that so quickly. Things had gone by so fast, it seemed, that it was a miracle the Vulpix had no trouble keeping up. As silent proof of her new status as a guild member, there was a treasure bag slung over her shoulder (currently filled with only her map) and a midnight blue ribbon tied around her right forepaw.

She looked down at her paw as her thoughts had travelled to the ribbon. Her gaze lingered on it for a moment, taking in the sight of the dark, rich color. She wasn't quite sure what it was about it, but the ribbon made her feel... different. More certain of herself, maybe a little stronger. Shrugging it off for now, she turned her attention back to Pecha Forest.

Well, here went nothing. She wasn't sure what attracted her to this mission in particular. The reward wasn't the greatest, the mission itself was an outlaw one, which were generally harder than the rescue ones. Maybe not the best choice for her first mission. But nevertheless, here Lumina was. Without any further hesitation she continued, padding into the forest.

Noel cursed as she saw the spikes but also saw something else she jumped backwards placing her feet on a tree as she pushes herself of and right at the target with blinding speed as she bashes into his.face lucky she had her fist out if she didn't she would of gotten stabbed by the spikes on his body as she jumped back making sure to grab a branch as she hangs over the spikes and rolls up as she sits and wait for another chance to defend lumina or strike

Lumina stepped lightly carefully weaving her way through the spikes. She didn't want to step on another one of those things, it wasn't exactly fun. She paused, eyeing the Cacturne while it's back was turned, the grass type glaring at the Riolu as she managed to dodge the spikes. The Vulpix smirked, perfect, she could take it by surprise. She fired an Ember, hitting it directly in it's back, causing it to loose it's balance.

The outlaw stuttered, trying to regain it's balance, wobbling on one foot awkwardly before tumbling over, right onto it's own spikes. The Murkrow yelped, it's eyes wide, staring at it's boss in shock. The Weepinbell let out a roar, or at least as close to a roar as a flower could muster, firing a Sludge Bomb at Noel. The Pineco hopped towards Lumina, meanwhile, trying to use Tackle.

Noel eyed the grass type as it fired a ball of purple sludge at her she lowered her stance and jumped backwards badly missing the bomb as burned through the tree branch Noel glad it didn't hit her or else she could be a blue puddle "dang" she says as she lands one of her feet hitting the spikes as she jumped back over and slammed both of her feet into the plant as the spike on her foot sticks to the Weepinbell as she jumps back landing between the spikes

The Vulpix cringed as she watched the Cacturne fall onto it's own spikes. It deserved that, she supposed, though it wasn't what she had intended to do. At any rate, the shock seemed to have knocked it out - they just had to deal with the rest of his little gang. She turned her gaze to the Pineco, who was hopping furiously towards her. (Though it was a bit of a pathetic sight, the Fox Pokémon thought, since it was going far too slow to actually do any damage with the Tackle it was attempting.)

She fired another Ember, which slammed directly into the bug type, forcing it to stop. But while she was focusing on the Pineco, the Murkrow had snapped out of it's former shock. With a furious squawk at the Vulpix, it dived towards her, it's beak glowing as it attempted a Peck. The Weepinbell, meanwhile, was also far from happy with the way their battle was going, especially now with the spike in it's side. With something of another battle cry, it shot some Razor Leaves at Noel.

Noel smirks as she ducks and weaves through the storm of leaves each one missing as she then hops through the spikes and stands as the pinco yup on the pinco as she picks up the stunned bug and throws it hard right at the bird attacking lumina as she turns her attention back to the last one but she didn't react fast enough.

Around novels leg was a vine whip instead of attacking her with it the weepinbell had caught her leg as it used the rope like vine to throw Noel against a tree.

Lumina couldn't quite react fast enough to prevent her acquaintance from getting thrown into a tree. She couldn't help but find it a little ironic, for all the times the Riolu had used trees and branches to her advantage. "How the tables have turned." She murmured. Stepping carefully to avoid the spikes, she steadied her stance and let out a loud Roar, one that seemed much too loud for a Pokémon of her size to emit. Hopefully, it would scare off whoever was still conscious in this little group of outlaws. Especially that Weepinbell, it was being a major pain at the moment.

"Aw man" was all Noel said as she quickly recovered from being thrown into the tree she looked over to see the target fainted and over just in time to see the Murkrow get hit by the pinco that Noel had thrown "eh worth it" she says as she faces the weak weepinbell "ok your a pain" Noel says as she gets into a fighting stance but before she can attack the plant realizes if the four of them could not take on the two of them how could he the roar helped as the plant fled into the forest with a small scream.

Noel stretches as she walks over to the downed outlaw avoiding the spikes as she did so and is right next to it and looks over to the other downed opponents then over to lumina "I think we won" she says with a small smirk

The Vulpix stared as the Weepinbell ran off, making sure it wasn't just trying to trick them and come back. But as it vanished from sight, she let a small smile cross her face. "Never in my life have I thought I'd see a giant flower run away screaming." She said dryly, approaching the Cacturne. "But I suppose it's for the best. I'll bring the Cacturne back to the guild, I think the police will be waiting for me there. Those other three weren't mentioned on the job request, so I guess we can leave them alone."

Noel nods in agreement and turns back to the downed outlaw kicking him once hard just to make sure that it was not faking cause she had fallen for that once "ya that would be best" she says agreeing and walking slightly away from the outlaw "still have to wonder how outlaws can recruit feral Pokemon" she says voicing her opinion for no real reason

Lumina voiced no objections when Noel kicked their downed opponent, he had it coming, she thought. She wasn't in the mood to go running after those three anyways, especially after she just sent them running. The Murkrow, Weepinbell and Pineco would come back eventually, doubtlessly to come back for their boss, but the two of them would hopefully be long gone by then. "Knowing outlaws, my best guess is that he bribed them." The Vulpix suggested, shrugging.

"Ya" noel reply's softly as she walks back over to the outlaw wanting to give em another kick because that spike she got in her foot hurt but deciding not to she instead checks the outlaw for any items it may of had seeing as it had bribed them somehow she though might have something when it turned up empty she then went back and shrugged looking at lumina "Well if he did bribe them they would of been mad" she says sarcastically as she noticed he didn't have anything on him at the time

"Maybe that wasn't it, then." Lumina frowned, considering this. "Though I guess it's still possible he scammed them. Those Pokemon might not have been feral in the first place." She was mostly thinking out loud at the moment, but who knew? She might have been onto something. Shrugging it off, she looked back at Noel. "Perhaps we should leave it to the police to ask the questions."

"Ya I was thinking that also but the way they moved seemed like they were feral" she responds thinking about it some more and the more she thought the stranger it seemed to be "do ya think there is a place to recruit others if you are a outlaw like a type of station" she said voicing her opinion on the matter it didn't seem likely but it was something to consider as she heard about the police "ya that would be best they do know what they are doing" she nodded as she talked agreeing with the idea

The Vulpix nodded, doing her best to listen. She was hesitant to believe in an 'outlaw station', as Noel had called it, but then again Lumina was never one for speculation. Although something the Riolu said had confused her, so she quickly decided to ask about that. "What do you mean, they seemed feral from the way they moved?" She wondered, a bit puzzled by this.

"Well did you notice how the weepinbell had grabbed and thrown me into the tree I have a hard time believing that something that's feral and only wants to fight could come up with something like that" Noel said she had given it some thought that maybe if they were around a outlaw they stopped being as feral as normal though she didn't voice this opinion "also the shocked look they gave him when he threw the spikes down it hurt them more then it did us" she added to her statement
