Do Something! – Mission Info:

The thick mist floated lazily around the large hill close to Rainfront Town, covering the dark green grass with a blanket of soft whiteness, at parts so thick one couldn't even see through it. There was no wind to blow the mist away, though a earthy, wet scent was in the air, coming from the nearby marshland. Even though the sun was high up in the sky, the scene still looked quite dull, perhaps a bit eerie – but there was a certain beauty to its somber silence. The misty hill wasn't warm and inviting, but it was still light thanks to the sun – and perhaps in a way, soft and accepting.

Varda had flown a long way from Grassveil Town after accepting a certain mission quite far away. It was a place he had never been to before as far as he knew, but the fact that it was new was exactly the reason the bird wanted to take the job. He was still lost and didn't know where his home and family was, so he had to look around – so why not take a mission that was far away while trying to find his home? It was a good idea to him and thanks to his wings, he could make the trip faster than a Pokémon traveling on foot. Unless they were really fast runners. And the Swablu did have to rest occasionally. And he had gotten lost a couple of times despite having been given instructions to get to the right place, but that wasn't important...

The bird Pokémon was a bit tired once he had finally got to Rainfront Town, not used to flying such long distances. After a moment of rest however, he knew he had to continue and get to Pricklemist Hill right away, not wanting to keep his client waiting. He did keep his eyes open in case he saw anything that might have reminded him of his home but this far, everything looked very off. Varda's home wasn't so... Foggy. Still, the Swablu didn't lose hope and rather continued his search for the items he had been sent to look for, having landed on the soft grass and sending some of the mist to gently float away with the air currents. Slowly, the bird started to waddle on the ground, occasionally using his white, cottony wings to push away the mist so he could see the ground properly in case something was hidden in there.

But where would one even find Max Elixirs in a place like this?

Varda continued his song with the time Okashi had bought him with her stunt, his chirps filling the air with a relaxed atmosphere. The Fletchinder stirred, spreading its wings as it attempted to rise up into the sky again where it had the advantage over the two Pokémon, but the slap from the smaller Cyndaquil it had not expected. Soon the fire-bird abruptly found its own feathery behind against the moist grass, blinking in confusion and not even knowing what to do. Okashi meanwhile used the confusion to run away from the scene, leaving the Fletchinder with nothing to attack as it sat on the ground.

The Swablu continued his song and it was finally being noticed by their attacker. It had been weakened and now that it was just sitting on the ground and doing nothing... It did start to feel rather relaxed as the song forced it to yawn. Soon the feral Pokémon had been lulled to sleep, snoring peacefully with the mist as its blanket.

Varda could stop singing, looking around to see if he could notice where Okashi had run off to. Taking careful steps, he started to waddle as quietly as he could, not wanting to wake the other Pokémon now that they had finally managed to get rid of it...

Okashi peaked her head from behind a rock, and waved her paw at varda once she saw him look in her direction, "Over here." She beckoned him over has she left her hiding place, seeing that the pokemon was sleeping rather soundly. "Hey...Are you tired at all?" She looked him over, trying to see if there was anything wrong, seeming satisfied she rubbed her own head, a rather nasty bruise forming on her forehead. "Not the smartest move I admit.." She winced as she touched it, luckily it wasn't bleeding.

Varda seemed to visibly brighten up as his eyes managed to see Okashi, noticing her waving her paw from behind a rock she was using to hide. He started to waddle towards her with a smile, his steps cautious as if to not walk on any strange dry branches that might have been hiding under the mist and grass... Though considering how wet the air was, there probably wouldn't be anything all too dry around the foggy hill! Okashi emerged from her hiding place and the bird stopped in front of her, looking quite happy.

"Oh, well... I guess I'm a bit tired," the Swablu chirped with a quiet laugh, clearly trying to keep his voice down so he wouldn't wake up the Pokémon they had tried so hard to put to sleep,
"I'm not hurt, though," he continued to make sure that Okashi wasn't too worried. All that had happened today had indeed sapped his energy... But he wasn't feeling too bad, just a bit tired and he was in need of a rest soon. But as his partner rubbed her own head and seemed hurt, Varda immediately looked more worried.
"Oh no... You're hurt," the bird Pokémon cooed,
"Would you like to sit down for a while...?"

Okashi shook her head, "As long as I don't pull that stunt again, I should be just fine. So lets move on shall we?" She took the lead this time around mentioning him to follow her and started walking from the area, her pace was a little slower, but her poor head ached a bit too much for her to really move at 100%, maybe she should of sat down for awhile, she thought to herself, maybe she has brain damage with all these silly decisions.

Okashi tilted her he downwards, looking across the mist heavy fields for anything that might be an max elixer, or any other good item. she considered using her fire for more light, but honestly didn't want to.

Varda nodded, though his eyes clearly were still full of worry. He was just going to have to believe the other Pokémon when she said she would be fine despite her injuries, as he didn't want to call her a liar... But the hit she had suffered looked rather nasty in the bird's eyes! Hopefully Okashi really was well enough to walk. The Swablu wasn't arguing against her however, letting his partner to start walking and then following after her as she motioned him to join her.

Okashi wasn't walking very fast and the bird Pokémon wasn't complaining, his own feet rather short and not very fast on the ground. Slowly his attention started to drift away from the leading Pokémon and her injuries, his eyes starting to wander and lazily scanning their surroundings. He mostly could just see the white mist, but... Suddenly, the rays of the sun managed to catch onto something close to them, a strange glint of a reflective surface.

Varda stopped immediately and let out an excited tweet as he took a couple of swift steps towards the shining thing, flapping his wings to push the mist aside so he could see the ground. And what did he see? A familiar glass bottle – well, not all that familiar as it was something he had seen for the first time today, but certainly something that was identical to another item in his possession. The missing Max Elixir they needed for their mission!
"I found it!" The Swablu chirped in his excitement.

Okashi almost sighed in relief, The last max elixir was found and now they can finally finished their shared mission, as Okashi walked up to Varda, she noticed the other max elixir sitting it's not far away from the first, she snorted silently, 'Now they decide to show up...' she thought quietly, picking up the max elixir and placing it in her treasure bag.

She smiled at Varda, the small wind blowing her bow around, " Seems like this adventure is coming to a close soon, but how about where stay and explore some more before going back?" As she said this, a red-eyed pokemon looked at them, grinning wildly as it charged out of the mist, ready to attack the two pokemon with it's sharp claws.

Okashi whipped her head around, cursing slightly as she failed to notice the threatening presences as she shouted to the bird next to her, "Attack!" though she herself was still kinda out of it from her head injury.

Varda turned to look towards his partner, beaming with pride and joy as he picked up the Max Elixir and put it in his bag, content with a mission well done. However, once Okashi managed to notice something and started to make her way towards it, even the bird noticed it. It was... Another glass bottle. An identical glass bottle. Yet another Max Elixir was lying on the ground, not too far from the one he just found. It was a rather strange sight to see indeed!
"I suppose we won't be needing that one for the mission," the Swablu smiled, happily letting the other Pokémon take what she had found for herself. Their client only needed two Max Elixirs after all, any extra ones wouldn't be needed...

"Oh, yes! We might be able to find something interesting here, I'm not very tired yet," the bird Pokémon chirped as Okashi suggested that they would still stay for a moment before turning in their mission. They still had sunlight left and neither of them seemed too hurt or tired, so it was a good idea. However, the very moment the two agreed to continue, a Pokémon charged from the mist! A white, cat-like beast with vicious claws and a grin letting out a snarl.

Varda had been taken off-guard by the sudden appearance of the feral Pokémon, but his friend's order snapped him out of it as he spread his wings and quickly rose up into the air, pushing some of the mist away with the air currents the flaps caused. He had no idea what to do, so obviously he followed Okashi's command. The bird flew closer and pecked the cat, hoping to scare it away so easily... But instead the Pokémon just swiped at the Swablu with its claws, causing the small bird to stumble backwards in the air.

Okashi Growled at the Zangoose, she knew this pokemon was strong, but they should be able to do a decent amount of damage to it so that if they run away it couldn't afford to chase them. Okashi reared back before charging at the wild pokemon, hoping to catch it off guard when it swatted Varda down. The small distraction was enough to allow Okashi to tackle the normal type, though her much smaller body didn't do as much damage as it could, even with her large amount of strength.

The attack only managed to push it back, it glared at the two of them and ran at Varda for an attack while Okashi was still recovering from the tackle, though she could call out at least, "Dodge!" After she shouted, she ran at the attacking pokemon for another tackle.

Varda was struck by the claws, barely able to straighten himself after the blow and keep flapping his wings so he could at least land softly on the ground without a crash. But as the cat Pokémon had turned towards the annoying little bird while swiping at him, it seemed to have ignored said bird's partner completely! Okashi used the moment to her advantage and tackled the feral creature, causing it to stumble off-balance for a while before regaining its posture and snarling at the newest attacker with a mean glare. The cat was much bigger and didn't seem all too hurt by the attacks, but it certainly was growing rather agitated...

Still, it was the Swablu that was the closer target and in its anger, that was where the feral Pokémon suddenly rushed, claws ready. Varda flinched as he saw it, a bit sore after the last attack, but Okashi's command caused him to open his wings and quickly rise up into the air – just in time to avoid the cat's attack! The Zangoose attacked a target that wasn't even there anymore, stumbling over as it swiped at the air and landed on the ground. Quickly, the feral Pokémon attempted to get back on its feet, but the second tackle it hadn't noticed. It was enough to cause it to roll over to its side completely prone, letting out a hiss.

Okashi ran to where Varda had flown into the air, turning to face the cat while rearing up for another double-edge, not very smart, but it's her strongest attack at the moment. She let out a huff as the zangoose got up from the ground, as soon as it was on its feet the female pokemon charged at the larger, ready for the recoil that she knew was going to come if she managed to make contact.

However, The feral pokemon noticed her coming this time and stepped out of the way of the attack, letting the smaller pokemon struggle to stop her attack before she ran into ant of the rocks hidden in the mist. It grinned as it claws began to glow. It moved to attack her while she was still trying to recover from her double-edge.

Varda was safely in the air and the feral Pokémon was down on the ground, hardly able to jump up to attack the flying bird. She could see movement underneath, the mist slowly starting to roll in to obstruct his vision. He was quite certain that their attacker had managed to get up before Okashi could use her attack to try to finish it off and send it scurrying away... But as the Swablu's wings pushed the mist underneath him away due to the wind they created, he could see that the cat Pokémon had managed to dodge, causing his partner to rush at the stones behind it instead!

The blue bird chirped in a worried tone, of course worrying for Okashi's safety and well-being. Unfortunately, there was no time to make sure she was alright, as the feral Pokémon was ready to attack again after its successful dodge! Varda swooped in as fast as he could, doing his best to get in there to do something before it was too late...

The Zangoose moved in closer with a grin full of sharp teeth, its shining, vicious claws ready to strike. It moved its arms to get some power behind its attack as it started to swipe at Okashi... Only to suddenly stop and let out a loud yowl. The Swablu had grabbed the fluffy white tail with his beak, biting as hard as he could and obviously causing the Pokémon to be in pain. The white cat kept making a noise of pain and annoyance, quickly starting to try to grab the bird and get it off its tail.

Okashi grunted in pains as she pulled back from the rocks she had crashed into, head throbbing and now she was sure there might be blood, though she couldn't tail. She backed up, had held in her paws, and fell against the thrashing Zangoose's side, instinctivly, the Cyndaquil let her back erupt in burning flames against the Zangoose's fur, burning it's side, she fell forward to her paws and turned around, facing the pokemon as she backed up, vision distorted from the crash against the rocks. Her Head wound was not being friendly, hurting worse than it did before.

The Zangoose made a loud noise pain, managing to toss the Bird off with it's wild thrashing as it's side burned harhly, white fur singed a ashy black. It Glared at the two, holding it's side as it snarled, eye wide with pain and anger.

Varda tried to hold onto the tail as hard as he could, the sharp edges of his beak digging into it. However, the wild trashing of the feral Pokémon was quickly making him lose his grip, feeling how he was sliding down closer to the tip of the tail. He couldn't really control where his light body was being thrown during the trash, unable to use anything to hold his place. Soon, the Swablu finally lost it, thrown off and flying a couple of feet backwards. He landed on his feathery behind with an oomph, unable to get up right away.

The bird looked up, seeing the large cat hurt and angry, its side clearly burned by Okashi's attack. Varda carefully got on his shaking feet, a bit intimidated by the glaring eyes of the feral Pokémon, noticing the sharp teeth as it snarled. His eyes looked over at his partner, noticing how she seemed to be hurt, having a hard time moving. The least he could do was to at least try to create a distraction!

In its current state, the Swablu doubted this other Pokémon would fall asleep, being so agitated and in pain. Still, he tried to sing, attempting to lull it to sleep with his lullaby.

Varda couldn't believe that his song wasn't cut short. Nothing happened, nothing attacked him. Despite what he had believed, the feral Pokémon didn't lash out in anger, instead... Just falling asleep in front of him. The bird couldn't help but pant after his song, out of breath and is body aching. The silence of the misty hills enveloped them all. Nothing was happening. The white cat wasn't seemingly faking it, not getting up the moment the Swablu stopped paying attention to it. Slowly, the little bird's eyes managed to find Okashi. Okashi... She was hurt. She was still able to stand and he hoped she could still walk, but he could see a trickle of blood falling from her forehead.

"...We need to go now," he said suddenly, breaking the silence with a whisper that sounded almost deafening in the deadly quiet hill. They couldn't stick around, they had just a moment to leave before the cat woke up and tried to attack them again. Despite the aching, Varda forced himself to waddle over to Okashi to look at her.
"Can you walk? We still need to go a bit further, just a bit further... We need to get back to town," the Swablu chirped in a worrying tone, knowing that if they just could get to Rainfront Town, Okashi's wound could be taken care of.

"Come," the bird motioned to his partner, giving one last glance towards the large feral Pokémon, still lying on the ground as its back rose up and down, apparently still sleeping. Varda didn't want to waste more time, giving Okashi a nod as he started to leave with her, heading towards the town...
