Do Something! – Mission Info:

The thick mist floated lazily around the large hill close to Rainfront Town, covering the dark green grass with a blanket of soft whiteness, at parts so thick one couldn't even see through it. There was no wind to blow the mist away, though a earthy, wet scent was in the air, coming from the nearby marshland. Even though the sun was high up in the sky, the scene still looked quite dull, perhaps a bit eerie – but there was a certain beauty to its somber silence. The misty hill wasn't warm and inviting, but it was still light thanks to the sun – and perhaps in a way, soft and accepting.

Varda had flown a long way from Grassveil Town after accepting a certain mission quite far away. It was a place he had never been to before as far as he knew, but the fact that it was new was exactly the reason the bird wanted to take the job. He was still lost and didn't know where his home and family was, so he had to look around – so why not take a mission that was far away while trying to find his home? It was a good idea to him and thanks to his wings, he could make the trip faster than a Pokémon traveling on foot. Unless they were really fast runners. And the Swablu did have to rest occasionally. And he had gotten lost a couple of times despite having been given instructions to get to the right place, but that wasn't important...

The bird Pokémon was a bit tired once he had finally got to Rainfront Town, not used to flying such long distances. After a moment of rest however, he knew he had to continue and get to Pricklemist Hill right away, not wanting to keep his client waiting. He did keep his eyes open in case he saw anything that might have reminded him of his home but this far, everything looked very off. Varda's home wasn't so... Foggy. Still, the Swablu didn't lose hope and rather continued his search for the items he had been sent to look for, having landed on the soft grass and sending some of the mist to gently float away with the air currents. Slowly, the bird started to waddle on the ground, occasionally using his white, cottony wings to push away the mist so he could see the ground properly in case something was hidden in there.

But where would one even find Max Elixirs in a place like this?

Okashi's flames rose, but were still smaller then usual, the moist are proving to do nothing but weaken her flame. Okashi grimaced, the weather is not on her side, the fog will hamper her fire and she can truly only rely on her other moves, hopefully Varda will have more luck then the female.

"Accursed fog." She grumbled lightly, hating how her fur was dampened. She may not mine water to much, but it was a issue if it was working against her. She glared at the bouncing grey thing, she had a slight annoyance against bouncing things, it irritated her for no real reason.

Her eyes opened briefly, showing nothing but glowing red eyes as she leered at the pig. Okashi never really opens her eyes, though this particular move requires it. Okashi does open them when she 'death' glares something, and Okashi happens to have one scary ass glare.

Varda rose a couple of feet into the air in surprise, taking a good look at the situation before he managed to decide what to do. They were being attacked by a strange, feral Pokémon, that much he could understand right away. He had wings on his side and could thus choose to fly away if he wanted to... But he couldn't let Okashi on the ground to fight alone, seeing how she couldn't actually fly! It was a dilemma, the bird wasn't all that good at fighting and neither did he like to do that for no good reason – but his new friend could have been in danger!

The Spoink lost its original target once the Swablu flew higher, and it just couldn't jump high enough to attack a flying opponent – not to mention that it really didn't have to, honestly. The Cyndaquil it could get to easily in its anger and the small pig's eyes flashed as it let out a grunt, the pink pearl on its head starting to glow... But that attempted attack was suddenly stopped as the Cyndaquil suddenly opened her eyes, staring at the hopping Pokémon with frightening red eyes.

It certainly took the Spoink off guard, causing it to blink in confusion, feeling quite intimidated. As it tried to shake the dreadful feeling off and continue to attack Okashi again, Varda decided to make his entrance. Swooping down from the sky, the blue bird's momentum pushed some of the mist away as he let out a sudden, loud squawk, causing the round pig to squeal and jump up in surprise rather high, landing on its belly that knocked the air out of it. The Spoink let out a weak grunt as it attempted to get back on its springy tail.

Okashi took the chance given to her by Varda, she reared up on her hind legs before charging at the downed pig pokemon before it received a chance to get back to it's tail. Since the fog was so strong she has decide that fire moves will be mostly useless, of she had any that is. Tackle was a normal basic move, but she will have to stick to the basics while fighting in this environment.

The Cyndaquil grunted as she rammed into the spoink, the force of her tackle sending bother it and her flying from the collision. Though the cyndaquil herself wasn't harmed. The female growled lowly, this entire area was a big disadvantage, hopefully this won't haunt her during her time searching this dungeon.

Varda didn't have time to react or continue his attack before his partner already was prepared, lunging at the little pig before it even got up. Okashi tackled the feral Pokémon, both so light that the impact sent Okashi herself sliding backwards! But the Spoink? The Spoink was rammed into with such strength that it was even sent off the ground, flying backwards and then even rolling down the slight incline of the hill, tumbling all the way to the bottom. The mist was cleanly parted by the rolling, marking the pig's trail.

The Swablu landed on the ground, peeking over Okashi's shoulder, blinking as if he was unsure what would happen next. The mist was starting to roll in again, hiding the pig Pokémon that had tumbled down. Did it get up? Perhaps, Varda didn't manage to see. But would it bother to hop all the way up again? Maybe not.
"Phew... Are you alright, Okashi?" The little bird sighed in relief and chirped, asking his companion a question as he hadn't managed to see if the feral Pokémon had attacked her.

Okashi huffed a little bit, the tackle was stronger then when she last used it. Before it barely really hurt anything but now it felt so strong, was this due to her own increase of strength? Okashi moved her head a little so she could see over her shoulder, then she smiled lightly at the bird. Might as well express her gratitude for the opening.

"I'm okay Varda, It hadn't managed to hurt me at all, thank you for asking. The brief opening you gave me was enough time for me to attack it off guard." She nodded to him and smirked, though she was unsure if the Sponk was really down, it was injured but could it bounce back up the hill? Not really caring unless it does come back, the Pokemon allowed her flames to diminish, It's already dim form extinguishing completely. It was proved that her flame might become a hindrance, How annoying. She voiced this to her partner, "It seems like all my Fire attacks a really weakened, Ill have to stick to basic attacks from now on, think you ca help cover for this disadvantage?"

Varda cooed happily and jumped a couple of times from one foot to another, seemingly quite excited from the compliments the other Pokémon was giving him – and of course he was happy that she was fine, too! This was something they had managed to overcome with teamwork and come out unscathed, so of course it was a big thing to him.
"No problem!" The little bird chirped in excitement,
"I'm just glad that you are fine," he added with a nod, stopping all his jumping as he slowly calmed down. Okashi let her own flames erupting from her back to diminish and die down, taking away the gentle, warm light.

However, the Pokémon brought something up to the Swablu, something he hadn't even considered. Okashi claimed that her flames were weakened, and the bird Pokémon just looked at her with his beady eyes and blinked for a couple of times. Then it hit him. Of course! The mist was causing the grass underneath them to be rather wet, so perhaps it was doing the same to the Fire type?
"That sounds a bit problematic," Varda thought out loud, but a smile was quickly back on his face as he continued,
"I'm not a very good fighter, but I think we did pretty well last time! If we work together then we can distract any Pokémon that attacks us, so neither of us gets hurt. We could also try running if it looks too dangerous," the blue Pokémon told of his rather simple plan to the other, much rather making sure that they both were going to be unhurt than undefeated fighters.

The Swablu took a couple of steps and looked back at Okashi, waiting to see if she would follow.
"We should continue our search!"

Okashi stared intently down the now mist hidden hill, still wondering whether the pokemon can still attack, she'd hate to think what would happen if it lands a sneak attack in the future. Okashi shook her head slightly, she can worry about that now, they have a mission to complete, and she doesn't need to worry about something old when there is a chance something new will coming, focusing on the old will leave her back open for attacks. Deciding to let this rest for now, she turned to Varda and nodded, walking foward to stand next to him, then past to keep it moving. She still moved at a nice pace, easy to keep up with.

Varda nodded in return as the other Pokémon accepted his suggestion of continuing their search. They were halfway done with the mission, but the other Max Elixir could end up becoming quite elusive and difficult to find. The bird watched as Okashi started to walk, moving past him. She didn't seem to be in any hurry and even the slow waddle of the bird Pokémon was enough to keep up, he didn't even have to try to rush! It gave them both plenty of time to look around the ground and occasionally the Swablu did flap his wings to create air currents that pushed away the mist, giving them a better chance of finding something.

"I wonder... What do Max Elixirs even do?" The little bird asked as he walked, his eyes scanning their surroundings rather than keeping eye contact with Okashi,
"I don't think our client would like it if we tested it," Varda let out a little laugh as he voiced his wondering.

"I...Completely forgot, sorry." The Lady poke let one paw raise to rub the side of her head, a small sheepish grin dawning her long face. Okashi gazed out into the mist as she stopped, she eyed the ground around them, noticing not that far off into the mist was a large flying shadow and to small shadows on the ground. Okashi noticed that the large one is a pokemon, no doubt, and a rather large one at that, large then her.....

"Damn....." She froze in her spot, wondering if whatever it was would bypass them, but that was unlikely. "Trouble...." she mumbled, not good, big flying thing not good for her, big flying things like kidnapping her.

Varda just let out a chirpy laugh as the other Pokémon mentioned that she didn't know what Max Elixirs did either – or that she had forgotten. The little bird just shook his head with a smile.
"It's alright! Don't worry about it," he just giggled with a wave of his wing as he continued his waddling, keeping a close eye on the ground. And then he actually did see something! A pale pink cloth of some sort peeked from behind the mist and the Swablu wasted no time hopping over to it, noticing a scarf of some kind stuck in a bush. Maybe its previous owner accidentally got it tangled and didn't stop to remove it for one reason or another...?

"I found a scarf of some kind," the bird Pokémon told Okashi immediately as he hopped from one foot to another in his excitement, the movement causing the mist to disperse around him so he could notice something else on the floor under his feet. A small seed was waiting for him and well, even though it was just a seed, it surely would be a tasty treat when it was needed. He did quite like seeds after all, being a bird.
"And a seed!" Varda chirped.

A quiet coo escaped the Swablu's beak as his partner suddenly seemed to start acting troubled, mumbling something that was barely audible.
"Trou...Ble?" He guessed as he tilted his head, not entirely sure if he had heard the syllables right. But then it happened. A larger, winged silhouette suddenly rushed past the two, cutting the sea of mist in two. A bird of some kind had noticed them and it turned around in the air, charging at the Pokémon.

Okashi snagged Vardas wing as gently as she could in this situation, and pulled the bird out the wasy of the attack that was about to hit them. Letting him go as she eyed the flying type, one she instinctively new was a fire type, what luck.

Okashi let herself ease up a bit, being all tense wasn't going to help her, but she also can tell the fire type was going through what she was going through, weakness because of the heavy mist. "It's weakened, like me. And sorry for pulling you so abruptly." The Pokemon Didn't let her back ignite, as it will do nothing but slow her down. She had a few normal moves that can help, deciding to do what she did early, tough she knew the chances of this working was a little less, she opened her eyes to leer at the bird, snarling lowly in a attempt to make it stop, of flinch.

Varda felt himself being pulled aside as the larger bird Pokémon made its loop and rushed at the pair of grounded Pokémon, just barely missing the two as the wind caused by the swoop caused the Swablu to stumble a couple of steps backwards. Okashi had been right there to pull him out of the way, and for that he was thankful.
"Don't worry about it!" The bird chirped as the other one for some reason felt the need to apologize despite just saving her partner from a nasty hit with her quick reflexes,
"I'm not hurt."

The feral Pokémon didn't seem to be leaving them alone, so what Okashi said about the mist's weakening power on this... Other supposed Fire type did make the Swablu think. It was a big and fierce bird however, so the situation did seem quite dire, he had no idea what to do! The leers of his partner didn't seem to be doing much as the other bird fluffed its feathers in response, not backing down easily. In fact, it was doing some rather speedy aerobatic movements in the sky to boost its own speed before it looped in the air and started to charge towards the pair again with great speed.

"Okashi!" Varda chirped in a rushed tone,
"Do you think you can stop it? I can try to slow it down, but that won't be enough!" The Swablu didn't have enough time to even wait for an answer as he flapped his wings hard to rise higher into the sky. Sparkling particles of ice started to erupt from his cloud-like wings, soon covering their surroundings with beautiful specks of ice floating in the air, reflecting the sunlight that hit them. The cool and refreshing haze seemed to cause their attacker to slow down...

Okashi growled loudly, "This is do stupid...." She jumped as far back as she could, then crouched low to the ground as she prepared her self as fast as she could to do her most powerful move currently. Launching from her position, the Cyndaquil charged the larger pokemon her on, body glowing brightly as she used her move, double edge, a double edge sword indeed. She growled loudly and she smacked into the bird head on, an almost sicking crack ringing loudly through out the area as the two pokemon locked into a stalemate, grunting the cyndaquil leered into the birds eyes, from close range this time and snarled, even though her head ached, thankfully she has a very hard head.

Varda was landing back on the ground as his partner was preparing to stop the large bird somehow, getting in the way of the attacker's path and getting ready to do... Something. He wasn't entirely sure what the plan was and he didn't have enough time to ask. Still, he wasn't sure if he had expected to see Okashi just rush at the feral Pokémon, the two of them hitting each other head on with a great impact! The sound was almost deafening, causing the Swablu to flinch as he blinked in confusion, unsure if poor Okashi was even fine after that!

But he had no time to be dazed. The attack had been enough to stop the fire-bird's flight – and surely had caused quite a lot of damage as well considering how fast it had been flying. The Fletchinder had been forced to land, but it wasn't going to stay there forever, already starting to recover from the attack. But Varda had hoped that Okashi had been right by saying that the other bird was weakened in the mist as well, hopefully tired...

The Swablu started to sing. His tweets were slow and the melody was rather drowsy, a lullaby to lull those who heard it to sleep.

Okashi grunted as the other fire type started to move against her, pushing her back as she stood her ground. She stopped her leer and did one thing she hoped will stall for her partner to finish his song. She brought out her paw and with as much effort as she could, slapped the bird so hard it fell on it's feathery butt. Then with much gusto, she ran away from it, and out of the zone for the sing attack that was coming.
