❊ Green Environment: Partly because he grew up surrounded by trees and grass and also because it looks good in his eyes, Isamu loves green environment. There he can breath in all the fresh air, relax and and feels peaceful.

❊ Exploring: Isamu is curious about everything, he wants to know what it's like out there. The reason he leave his favorite place/home in the first place is because of his desire to learn more and seek for new stuff he has yet to experience. He wants to see other creatures out there, how it's like in another environment and so much more.

❊ Friends: Ah yes, for sure this should be on everybody's list. Friends are great, he prefer having them by his side than being alone. He loves having fun and his source of it is his friends.

❊ Jokes: Isamu laughs at every jokes - well almost every jokes. He's one of those guy who like laughing and would laugh at everything as long as it is at least a little bit funny.

❊ Sunny Day: No clear reason, he just enjoy those days. Even though he's a dark-type pokemon (which mean he's supposed to prefer the dark), his mood is always good on those day for some unexplained reason.

❊ Spicy Foods: He loves spicy food, so much that he sometime dream about eating them.

❊ Cocky Pokemon: Although being cocky is rather bad, Isamu admires other Pokemon who are cocky. Why so? Because he himself lacks self-confident and sought to become a brave person so he looks up to those type of Pokemon.

❊ Black: His favorite color.

❊ Number 3: His favorite number. He heard that three is a lucky number and a guy like him needs luck on his side.

» Dislikes:

❊ Fire: Although it's not an element he's weak against, he really despise fire. The feeling of getting his skin burnt is just painful and intimidating which made it tough for him considering his cowardice.

❊ Scary-Stuff: As a coward, Isamu hates everything that intimidate him. That include scary-looking Pokemon and so much more as long and it's scary to him.

❊ Pain: Well obviously everyone hates pain but again as a coward, Isamu tries to avoid it if possible.

❊ Pessimist Pokemon: It's kinda weird how this work because Isamu himself is a pessimist and he hates pessimist people so technically he hates himself. Anyways, Isamu hates those who give up easily, those who thought they don't have a shot at something, those who are afraid of failure and all of those negative thinking.

❊ Height: Yet again because he's a coward. He's afraid of falling off and killing himself.

❊ Having His Species Offended: He loves his own kind and he wouldn't tolerate anyone insulting them. Kinda like Bruce Lee's "You offend me, you offend my family" motto but backward.

❊ Pink: Least-favorite color because he thinks it's girly.

❊ Sour foods: Self-explanatory.

» Personality: "Isamu" means courageous and brave but you're dead wrong if his name resemble his personality. Isamu is a total coward, rather selfish (hey at least it's rather so it ain't that bad) and pessimist. Yeah all the bad traits, if he was a human he would be the most hated student in his class. No, make that the whole school. Oh actually, the whole city. He avoids his problem and is the type of Pokemon to just accept it if he was bullied. Sometimes, he can be selfish because he's a coward so he'd put his own security first. On the bright side however, Isamu is clever, outgoing and has incredible will-power. Perhaps not giving up easily is a trait he inherited from his own species (Poochyena are known for chasing after it's prey till the prey exhaust itself and wouldn't give up unless that happen) so to make up for his cowardice, he won't give up. Isamu may not be the best in pure combat but he's clever and use that to his advantage by outwitting his opponents. Another good trait of his is that he's sociable and outgoing. He makes friends easily and is a likable guy. He also cares about his friends, as long as he doesn't put himself in grave-danger to help, he'd help any way possible.

» History: What happen if you are born into a weak species in a 'dog eat dog' world? Nothing. Seriously nothing happen, you can only hope that you survive until the day you actually die through age. And what if you're actually the weakest of one of the weakest species? Yeah, that's unfortunate indeed. Though that's not all, you're even more unfortunate because you're the son of the mightiest of them all in that certain species so they expected big thing out of you only to find out how weak you are. Wow, that's really some tough luck. And the person who fit in all the scenarios above is Isamu, the Poochyena. His mother was the leader of a Poochyena/Mightyena packs on a grasslands therefore big things were expected out of him which he didn't live up to. He was one of the weakest of the other Poochyena his age and showed no promise. His leadership skill was horrible, had no good traits and most of all, he was a coward. The only thing he was good at was running and that was thanks to the fact that he had to escape from all the bullies and other Pokemon. About that, he get bullied a lot because he's weak and also because the other young Poochyena were jealous their their dad/mom wasn't the leader of the pack so they took it out on him. Lady luck really hated him, didn't she? Now that the odds are stacked against him, he has a decision to make. A, he can man up and fight back against faith himself; Train to become stronger and overcome adversity. A good example would be Cinderealla. Or B, he can just accept that fact and deal with it. Well Isamu's choice is the latter.

Growing up, Isamu was a clever and matured kid (or should I say cub?) inside. And by that, it didn't mean he was serious or clever in general knowledge or something, he was just a logical person. He didn't believe in miracle, nor did he believe in fairy tale. He knew that upon birth, he had disappointed many other Poochyena and Mightyena but he didn't care, call him selfish but he only cared about his own life. Her mother tried her best to teach him how to fight against other Pokemon but he purposefully performed badly so she would leave him alone for him to just rest and enjoy the nature. When he get bullied he didn't bother to tell his mom or the senior Mightyena but kept it to himself because he thought it was better that way. Informing them would bring up bigger troubles and it seemed like a pain for him, he'd rather get bullied because it didn't matter much to him. He was the only Pokemon in the pack without a dad and he heard rumors that his dad was actually an animal from another specie but he was smart enough not to question his mom about it. Why so? To avoid pain, he knew he wouldn't like the answer and his way of life is to avoid the trouble itself. A pessimist and clever person as he was, he always thought of his own life. What was he going to do? Sure he liked the place, he didn't mind the bullies or how people thought of him and he even had a lot of friends. Would he live there forever, find a female Poochyena, raise a family, then die? To him, that seemed like a normal life. He was fine with not getting attention or being a 'normal' Pokemon but he can't stand not enjoying life. Once he thought about wandering around the world and see new things, he would love to do that. But on second thoughts, it was a horrible idea because of his cowardice and lack of strength. Meh, seemed like living a normal life was the best idea after all.

A sunny and hot day it was - in fact almost too hot - a certain twist happened in Isamu's 'peaceful' life. Looking back at it, he should have known that there was definitely something wrong with such a hot day as that. Even though Isamu liked sunny day, that day was too hot. In fact, it would have been a day that he would never forget even if the following event didn't happen because of the heat alone. And yes, the following event is a life-changing one. There, in the far distance is a pack of Growlithe and Arcanine of around 7 of it's own kind. Isamu's pack panicked. He knew that the species approaching them also inhabited in the same environment as they did which was grassland. What's more, he never saw that species moving in pack before. The other Pokemon of his kind started howling, preparing themselves for battle as they assumed that the pack approaching them was going to hunt them as foods. However, call it a coward's instinct or wild guessing or whatever but Isamu thought differently. He wandered around sometime and get to come across several Growlithe and all of them were friendly. And the fact that these Pokemon that don't usually move in a pack seemed wrong. That was when he came to conclusion that they were looking for a new home and where would that be? Of course, his current home. It turned out he was right as the leader of the other group discussed with his mother about it. They told his mother that they wanted to settle it peacefully without any harm and wanted them to move out. After all, Isamu's species was no match for them. The former had number advantage of 3 more Pokemon but that wasn't enough. The day was disastrous, maybe moving to a new home was the best idea after all because they would get annihilated if they were to fight back. The pack tried to come up with a decision within the one day time limit the opposing species set for him. After a long hard consideration, they decided to decline and fight back

Isamu couldn't believe the decision his pack made. He knew that they stood no chance and they would just get brutally killed. The Growlithe species got forced out of their home by a stronger species and now they were the ones forcing the weaker species out. Indeed it was a dog eat dog world. He was frightened at the thought of fighting back against those strong species and getting himself killed. There was also another feeling, a feeling that he felt a lot of time but he chose to ignore and pretend it never existed. A feeling of inferiority. He wasn't fine with being born into the weakest species in a world like this. Nor was he fine with being a huge disappointment to everyone. Being bullied as well, deep down he wasn't fine with getting bullied. He knew that if he wanted to remove that feeling of inferiority, he had to confront him somehow and possibly 'overcoming the odds' which totally wasn't his thing. He never believed in those things, he believed that it only happen in fairy tales. But this time, he felt like he gotta act. He loved his species, although the bullies were mean to him, there were a lot of other that were nice to him. They treated him as equal even though he was a disappointment. Above all, he admired their bravery and willpower. During a hunt, they never stopped chasing after their prey. They were willing to fight back against this supremely superior species just to protect their territory. The thought of having all these great people killed made him sad. That was when he remembered a certain thing his mother used to tell him: "Live like you got the whole world in your hands, son. When it trouble, man up and show the world who's the one in control. If you failed, then do be it. If you stood back up with a wound on your body, lick it and tell yourself that you're better than before." He decided that for this one time, he had to try. He had to confront the issue right in front of him. If he were to fail and get himself killed then so be it, at least it was better than dying without trying. So why did he decide to fight back exactly? Well it was because he got the whole world in his hands.

Isamu gathered the pack and suggested something the whole pack couldn't believe. He told everyone that he'd challenge the other pack's best up-and-coming Growlithe to a duel. If he were to win, they'd leave and if he lost, they'd move to a new place. The whole pack was against it, so was his mom. Isamu told them to calm down and that this promise of moving should not be taken seriously, if he were to win he knew that the opponents would jump at him in vengeance anyway. He told them that they had nothing to lose from this bet, if he lost then keep on fighting ignoring the promise, if he won however, then jump at the opponent and strike them while they were shocked. Everybody was shocked but decided that it was a good idea. His mother was against it because the leader of the Arcanine pack's son was actually a well-known Pokemon as he showed promise for his age. Isamu, on the other hand, was the weakest Pokemon among the group. Isamu told his mom that he'd be okay and when his mom asked him about his odd of winning, he chuckled to himself. He answered: "9 out of 10".

The next he confronted the Growlithe pack and challenged them to a duel just like he told his own pack. The leader of the former pack didn't want to agree to it at first but his son who was an arrogant Pokemon because of all the attention he received, accepted the duel. The Arcanine also believed in his son too much that he decided to agree so no one in his pack would get hurt. However, Isamu didn't stop there. He raised up two conditions of that duel. Condition one, it would take place when the sun is right in the middle of the sky with no cloud which he said was so that there wouldn't be any unexpected rain. Condition two, the duel would take place in a sandy area, the reason was so that there would be space to move around. The Arcanine and his son accepted, they believed that it was in their favor because the hot sky and vast area could help their fire attack and superior speed.

The fated time arrived as the pack stood on opposite side. Isamu and his opponent, a smug-looking Growlithe walked to the middle with the scorching sun up above them. All of a sudden, Isamu started dashing at the Growlithe. The latter Pokemon smirked and said "Hah, you just dig your own grave you weakling! Setting up a battle under the sun!? That is my dominant!" after saying that he breathed fire from his mouth, "EMBER" was the move. Isamu halted his dash and a smirk appeared on his face although it disappeared right away. He turned his back against the Growlithe and started moving his paws (or whatever it's called) rapidly sending sand right at the fire. Their distance between each other was far enough and the flame wasn't that great either, therefore sand set out the fire leaving the Growlithe in shock. Isamu chuckled and started dashing at the Growlithe again closing the gap very quickly. "I'm a sissy so one time when the grass was on fire, I panicked and did this randomly. It felt good being the cat that curiosity," just when the Growlithe opened his mouth trying to breath fire again, Isamu jumped up. The Growlithe cocked his head up to aim his fire there but the sunlight shone right into his eyes so he instinctively titled his head back down. He raised his paw up without looking trying to "SCRATCH" Isamu on his way down. One of his claw caught Isamu right on his nose making a horizontal cut across the latter Pokemon's nose. However, Isamu didn't stop there as he dropped down the ground hitting Growlithe right on his neck. After hitting, Isamu jumped back out. "You may wonder why I've jumped back. Well, your body will tell you in..3," the Growlithe looked at Isamu and pain from the bite. "2," Isamu said. "1," Isamu let out a smug face, the same face the Growlithe made at the beginning. "0," the Growlithe fell down to the groun in pain. "I-I've been poi-poisoned!? B-b-but how!? You're a Poochyena!! H-how did you..managed to do t-that!?" Isamu winked and said "It's a secret."

The Growlithe panicked. If he let this battle continue any longer, he'd faint due to the poison. If he used his fire, the sand would cancel out, of course if he did it long enough then it would work but it would take time and time is against him. Not having time to think, the Growlithe charged recklessly at Isamu. He raised his paw up looking to SCRATCH Isamu which was not a smart decision because it left his vulnerable to attack. Isamu knew this and saw it coming hence he didn't let the chance go away. He TACKLED the Growlithe knocking it down to the ground. He had won. As soon as the Growlithe fell to the ground, Isamu's pack HOWLED and dashed right at the shocked pack of Growlithe/Arcanine whose leader was shakened because of his son's injury. Isamu walked passed the Growlithe slowly. "Hah, I know that I admire people with confidence in themselves but you aren't one of those guys. I know you're full of yourself which is why I used the hot temperature against you knowing that you'd go to your strongest attack. And when that attack failed, you was shakened. Still you could have retreated when I jumped right down to you but you insisted on fighting because of what? Pride? I call that stupidity. Sometime it's good to be a coward because you won't make stupid decision, ah I thought victory would feel better," he HOWLED and joined the fight with his pack.

The group of Growlithe/Arcanine was caught by surprised and without a leader to lead their way (he was shaken due to his own son's status), was outnumbered and retreated. The Growlithe that Isamu defeated was let go and the Arcanine was grateful to have his son back therefore insisted on not trying to invade anymore. Yup, a happy ending. A few weeks passed and Isamu decided to leave the grassland in order to wander the world. He didn't know why he would do it, probably because of his curiosity of the world but he decided to do it anyway. Isamu said goodbye to his mother but not to anyone else because he hated a sad goodbye. Silently, he left his mom. Next stop, the world.
