Slowly, the black cat was roused from his nap. He yawned and opened his mouth opening wide, exposing sharp little teeth. He then stretched about a bit, lengthening his body and then arching his back. He licked his lips and sat upright on the windowsill he had chosen to occupy, staring out the pane and watching the world rush by.
It had only been a day or two ago that Fjor had revealed his identity to his new mortal companion. He wasn't quite sure why he had chosen her. She couldn't unlock any of his powers, though this was by no fault of hers. What he was asking her to do would also be quite dangerous. She could loose her life. Then again, her company did make the ordering of train tickets and contacting the others substantially easier.
Indeed, they were all together now. All that he could find at least. Fortunately the others had chosen partners as well. They would need them. Even now, Fjor felt a little leery. There was no way of telling when someone would track them down, especially now that they were together. But, he didn't let anyone else see his discomfort. There was no good in having them all on edge. Not right now, anyway.
They were all together now in the same cabin. A spacious one at that. Transportation by train had become more and more luxurious over the years. Now these cabins could hold six people and one cat comfortably with service carts passing by every hour.
They were still roughly two hours from DC. The trip had been tame so far, but Fjor still didn't trust it. Glancing back at Nomina, he slipped out of the cabin door and into the hallway, where he proceeded to seat himself and watch hallway, people walking by and going about their business.
