Remaining Energy: 13
Aedus slung his bag over his shoulder, preparing himself for the adventure ahead. He knew that this hilly, wooded dungeon would not bring him any closer to his goal of finding Moltres and retrieving the Magma Stone, but even heroes had to take breaks every once in a while, right? He had been on his search for quite some time now, over three months, and he had still not found much to go on. So he was taking a break, and enjoying some leisure time to himself. After all, even princes get bored with princely duties. Aedus was too energized to enjoy a day of lazing around, so he had decided to explore in this Pricklemist Hill dungeon.
The heatmor set off into the dungeon, enjoying the feel of the sun on his face. The trees were not set too close together as to block out the sunlight, which lifted Aedus' mood even more. He walked with a brisk trot through the first part of the forest, walking on all fours so that he wouldn't lose his balance.
Once he was sufficiently far enough into the woods to his standards, Aedus stopped walking, and brought himself up onto two legs again, shedding his mostly-empty bag. He looked around and spotted a decent-sized tree. He couldn't practice his fire moves in a forest, he knew, but he could practice his basic fighting skills.
Aedus breathed in through his nose and out through his mouth, closing his eyes in concentration like his teachers had taught him. Then he began his exercise routine, moving through the Five Stages of Laerin. He whirled and ducked, pretending as though he was dodging an enemy, and then immediately lashed out with his right claws at the spot where he had been moments before. He kicked out with his foot and hit the tree he had spotted before. He opened his eyes and realized that he had almost face planted into the tree. He snorted grumpily. His teachers always told him that he needed to stay still during Larin, and yet he always moved, especially more so when his eyes were closed.
