Into the Frozen Lands: Strange Rivals make new Allies

As Enzu walked outside of his home he stopped once again to check the contents of his bag. He pulled his bag off of his shoulder and placed it on the ground, kneeling next to it so that he could see inside it more clearly. Everything was there, a Max Elixir in case he ran out of energy, a Spurn Orb so that he could be covered if too many feral pokemon attacked, and a Sitrus and Oran berry for when he got hungry or needed a boost of energy. Once Enzu confirmed that everything was in his bag he closed it up and slung it over his shoulder.

The sun was shining and there was a warm feel to the air, Enzu was going to have to enjoy it while he could. He was making a journey to the Frozen Stream. Now that he and Akuroma had finished their journey to Black Mist Mountain and Akuroma moved to the mountains, Enzu decided to continue exploring new areas and he was starting with the Frozen Stream. It was going to be a different type of Journey compared to climbing the mountains so Enzu did not prepare much besides some essentials. Luckily his training cloak would help protect him from harsh and cold winds.

Suddenly a shadow appeared on the kneels Enzu the sun blocked partially by the figure of a somewhat familiar pokemon. " Hey where are you going? I was coming back for round two for that dojo sign!" Shaman Daymon cloak billowing in the breeze standing tall and making his declaration. After his defeat last time he had decided he would return and claim that sign yet being the spiteful raged filled little fur ball he was. Even though at the time he hadn't seem upset or even fazed by it at his very basic level he was a person of competition and he couldn't help it.

Shaman could deduce quickly that he was headed out by the cloak not unlike his own though a bit smaller as Shaman's was for a pokemon bigger then both of their statures though his did have pockets for all his games. He also noticed the bag filled with a variety of items he only got a glimpse of a few though he noticed a few berries. " Where you heading out to? Running away?" He taunted him.

Enzu turned to face Shaman when he heard the strange Riolu approach him. He had for the most part forgotten about the time that Shaman challenged Enzu for his dojo sign. It had been over a year since the two of them had their match and a lot had happened to Enzu since then. And even more, he was no longer running a dojo. "Oh uh, Shaman wasn't it?" Enzu said, he wasn't completely sure he got the name right, "I'm heading out to the Frozen River for an expedition. And I thought you would have known that I no longer run a dojo."

Enzu wasn't sure what Shaman had been up to over the past year, but he had assumed that he would of at least known that Violet ran the new dojo in town. Hopefully Shaman wouldn't bother Violet with the same kind of challenge that he had bothered Enzu with a year ago.

"What?! Why would you give it up?!" Shaman questioned he'd been busy with Micheal for most of his free time and had never returned here but he would have assumed that Enzu would have kept the Dojo he had seemed like a respectable good leader, though Shaman met many people and did many things he always remembered them this might have been because of his high IQ or maybe it was just a little quirk about himself he didn't think about it much. " The frozen stream? That's a dungeon area right?" Shaman asked quickly seeing an opportunity to snag some sweet loot, He liked to make his own adventures without Micheal not that he didn't love Micheal and being on team knightfire with him it was just that going with the same person over and over sometimes led to monotony.

"Well I traveled around for about a year and determined that it just wasn't for me," Enzu said. He was beginning to realize that this was a very similar situation to when he went to Black Mist Mountain the first time with Akuroma. "And yes it is. And if you don't mind I'd like to get there as soon as possible so that I can at least travel for a short time before it gets dark. So I'll be on my way," he said. Enzu then began to start walking in the direction of the Icy Lands and the Frozen Stream.

" Wow wow not so fast man!" Shaman slid into step next to the pawniard. " You know it's dangerous to go alone, I'll tag along I haven't been to the frozen stream in ages!" Shaman exclaimed, hoping this guy wouldn't mind, after all it was true he hadn't been to the stream since he met Nate and played a marble game of his own creation. Shaman hoped this little expedition would be equally as stress free and easy like a sight seeing trip. Even before Shaman himself had noticed he'd already decided in his own mind that he was going without an answer from Enzu. He already thought in terms of hoping the trip went well as opposed to going on the trip at all.

Enzu let out a small sigh, "Okay you can come along," he said. He sounded reluctant to let Shaman tag along and the truth of the matter is that he was. But even though he was reluctant to have him tag along he was right in that it would be best if Shaman came to help Enzu with the adventure in case things got dangerous.

Time passed as Enzu and Shaman travelled to the Frozen Stream. The ground was beginning to be covered with snow as they reached the edge of the area. The trees were also starting to have less and less leaves as the temperature and wind began to lower and get cold. "Well it looks like we're here," Enzu said, looking around at his and Shaman's icy surrounding.

Shaman pulled his cloak in tighter to shield himself from the slight chill. He leaped onto a nearby tree and sat on a branch. " Here's one of my favorite napping places." He announced to Enzu as he let his legs dangle in the tree. " You know I neglected to ask when we were in town but why are we here again? Did you have a certain item or trinket you wanted?" Shaman asked normally this was a thing he thought to ask prior with his planning ability he liked to have facts lined up but today he had been feeling particularly whimsical and had rolled with the punches.

Enzu made a slight glare at Shaman for immediately going into a resting spot in the tree as soon as they arrived. Having Shaman as an ally was definitely going to be different compared to having Akuroma. "I have no real reason to be here," Enzu said, "I just want to explore different lands and both test and increase my skills." Enzu began to walk ahead of Shaman and further into the woods, looking for both the stream and anything of interest.

"Aw no treasure hunt or epic quest for loot?" Shaman persuaded his hope for some details on a hidden stash of treasure or a magical gem in the stream or something as he slid off the branch and hustled to match pace with Enzu. He pulled up his hood and entered into his aura visions the snow falling was flushed to a gray hue along with the landscape that was frosted over with snow, he could see the life of the plants building in certain areas to keep them alive and safe, he saw the prickle of annoyance in Enzu own aura but chose not to comment.

Enzu continued to walk through the snow and trees, searching for anything of interest. "None that I know of," he said to Akuroma. Enzu wasn't really an expert on the areas that he would decide to travel to, he preferred to learn from experience. Enzu's preferences were contrary to Akuroma's who preferred to study, and Shaman who seemed to not care that much for exploring himself. He seemed to want to have adventures and find treasure, Enzu just wanted to better himself and see what his own limits were.
