Rinko Test Contest: Jay vs. Pikoo

And Armstrong, the muscular and fancy man from the Fullmetal Alchemist Universe! Now then! From the East we have Jay! A young woman with a personality as dazzling as her voluptuous breasts! From the West we have Pikoo! The young man as mysterious as that green goop in your fridge! Now let's get started!"

Pikoo once again underestimated the speed of the small Flechling, as it was able to dodge the Shadow Rain attack that he had set up. However, Pikoo always had a backup plan. When he say the Flechling use Overheat and send a beam of fire towards Liepard, he saw an opportunity to make a counterattack.

"Alright Liepard, use Shadow Claw to grab the Overheat." Pikoo said as another Shadow Claw formed around the Liepards normal claw. After forming however, the claw extended outward towards the Overheat, leaving a ghoulish trail as it traveled. When it reached the Overheat, the claw latched onto it and began to take in the moves color. The claw's color changed from dark purple to a bright red orange as it moved into the attacking, attempting to overpower it and deal some damage to the Flechling.

Unfortunately for the Liepard, Pikoo had underestimated Overheat's power. The fire type move was naturally more vastly powerful than Shadow Claw, meaning that it would easily overpower it when an attempt to grasp it was made.
"Bad move Pikoo! Overheat is too powerful for a weaker move like Shadow Claw to overpower!" called Jay, Arietta keeping up the orange and red flames, attempting to overpower the Shadow Claw's purple with their bright colour.

This was a miscalculation on Pikoo's part. He thought that after the first usage, Overheat would have been weak enough to be overpower by Liepard's Shadow Claw. However, that wasn't the case as the beam of flame was too strong for the Shadow Claw to overpower. Now Pikoo had to improvise a new strategy in order to beat Jay and her Flechling before he would need to get burn heals for his Liepard.

"Liepard, retract your Shadow Claw and use Hone Claws." Pikoo said as the Liepard's Shadow Claw let go of the Overheat and then disappeared, with the pokemon falling towards the ground afterwards to dodge. After landing on it's feet, the Liepard's claws began to glow in a light purple shade as the pokemon used Hone Claws for a second time, increasing it's attack power and accuracy. All Pikoo could do know was await the next move that Jay had her Flechling do so that he might be able to make an appropriate counter.
