| Akuroma nodded, "Alright," he said as e continued walking, taking the first turn. Serene Cave was definitely different from when they came here on a caravan. For one, it felt a lot larger. It was also more dangerous. Akuroma also noticed the differences from it and Monochrome Ruins. The walls were, of course, naturally made and did not have the square appearance the ruins did. They also didn't have the dusty smell the ruins had. The air was definitely stagnant, but at least dust wasn't flying everywhere and stuffing up the Ralt's nose. | |

| ((Enzu's Energy: 6))
As the pair of explorers walked in silence, Enzu thought about what he was going to put his energy towards after he and Akuroma would finish climbing for Black Mist Mountain. He considered beginning to travel to other places, but he wasn't really sure where to start. He wondered if Akuroma had any plans figured out, or if he would know of any places that Enzu could attempt to explore next. "Hey Akuroma, what do you plan on doing after we finish climbing Black Mist Mountain and the Staircase?" he asked. |

| "I'm going to leave the Library and become an independent researcher. I'll explore the dungeons and uncover all their secrets for everyone to know," he said as he walked. As he walked, Akuroma made another turn down a tunnel before he continued talking. "I'll start with the areas near Grassveil then work my way to the Frozen Lands, go through the areas surrounding Rainfront, then the mountains, and finally the desert. It's a shame I'd have no way to explore the ocean and sky islands, but perhaps I can find an exploration team who'd help me," he said. | Enzu thought about the idea of exploring all of the different areas that Akuroma had mentioned. He wondered what kind of skills he could learn and what kind of pokemon he could meet. "That's sounds interesting," Enzu said, "Maybe I could join you on some of these adventures."
All of the sudden there was a gust of wind that carried loose rocks and other small objects toward Akuroma and Enzu. Enzu covered his face with his Joy Ribbon so that nothing would get in his face. "It seems like that we aren't alone anymore," Enzu said.

| Akuroma nodded, "Maybe," he said before the gust of wind blew past them. He immediately lowered his torch and protected the flame with his body as small rocks bumped into him. He grabbed a hold of his Raging Storm Cloak's hood and pulled it over his head. The hood had holes specially made for his horns to easily slip in and out of. His face seemed to disappear into the darkness of the cloak, save for several small glowing red slits where his hair parted enough for his eyes. | |

| As Enzu tried to look in the direction of the gust, there was a sudden screech that accompanied it, "It looks like our noisy friend isn't finished with us yet." Enzu said. Even though the Screech was still very annoying, Enzu was getting used to it and it did not have as much of an effect as it did when the Noibat first used it. Enzu tried to scan the darkness for any sign of the bat pokemon, and as he did so he began to charge up a Psycho Cut. However something felt off to Enzu, he could have swore that he could hear two sources of flapping wings. It didn't sound like an echo, so he was starting to think that there was two enemies. "Akuroma, how many energy's can you sense?" he asked. |

| Akuroma groaned as his ears were assaulted yet again. The screech didn't affect him as much as before, but it was still annoying nonetheless. At Enzu's question his horns twitched a bit.
"Two, both flying, one of them must be psychic because it can sense me sensing it," he said. He kept his back to the wind to protect the torch.
"Try to get rid of the one making that gust, I'll be able to concentrate better without having to worry about the torch," he said, looking over at Enzu.

| "Well considering both of them are flying types I don't know which one is causing the Gust," Enzu said while trying to scan the darkness. "Do you mind giving my a direction and elevation of either of one of them?" he asked Akuroma. Enzu's Psycho Cuts were now fully charged but he couldn't pinpoint an exact location of either of the hidden pokemon, if Akuroma could point him in a more specific direction then Enzu would be able to close the distance for his attack. |

| "There's one flapping it's wings hard, it's ten feet in front of you and slightly to the left, it's six feet off the ground," he said, focusing on the psychic one's position. It's a good thing it wouldn't be able to sense his Pawniard companion. That meant Enzu had the element of surprise if the Noibat didn't warn the other Pokemon properly. Akuroma hoped for that, it'd make the fight a lot easier on them both.

| "Gotcha," Enzu said quickly, he then began to move in the direction that Akuroma had described one of the pokemon to be in. Akuroma didn't mention which pokemon was causing the gust, but it didn't matter much, as long as an attack could be landed the wind should stop. Once Enzu was closer he could hear the difference in the locations of the two flapping wings. Enzu then launched his Psycho Cut at the pokmeon that was flapping its wings harder, since it was most likely the one causing the gust.
As the Psycho Cut flew threw the darkness, its glow provided Enzu with some image of the other enemy. When it hit the pokemon Enzu was able to see that it was a Woobat. |

| The Woobat flapped it's wings erratically to try and keep aloft after being hit by the Psycho Cut. Akuroma began using Confusion on the rocks on the floor and flung them at the two bat Pokemon. He wanted to end the fight quickly, and if he could make it appear one of them knew a Rock type move the Niobat and Woobat might retreat for now. | |

| ((Woobat's Moves: Gust, Heart Stamp, Imprison, Confusion)) ((Noibat's Moves: Bite, Gust, Leech Life, Screech))
Since Enzu was a distance away from Akuroma and the torch he had much less light than he would if he was close by, causing him to have difficulty seeing either of the two flying pokemon. However, Akuroma's confusion made the rocks he was using glow slightly, and it gave Enzu enough light to spot the Noibat's location. Enzu then jumped forward at the Noibat with a charged Psycho Cut and launched it from a closer distance in the air.
While Enzu was temporarily focusing on the Noibat, the Woobat was able to sense Akuroma's location, and created a force field around him. The force field broke Akuroma's hold over the rocks, causing them to all fall to the ground, thus removing one threat from the two bat pokemon. |

| Akuroma blinked. Something wasn't right, has saw the force field around him, but it didn't restrict his movements, it only made him look like he had a layer of wax over him. He then heard all the rocks suddenly drop. Turning to look his eyes widened.
"Enzu! The Woobat knows Imprison, I can't use Confusion until we take it down!" he yelled out to the Pawniard. At least Confusion wouldn't directly affect Enzu, but if the Woobat tried the indirect attack such as Akuroma usually does, he could be in trouble, and Akuroma couldn't try and fight it back with his own Confusion.

| Since the battle was occurring in what was nearly pitch dark, the Noibat was not expecting an attack to come at it so suddenly. So when Enzu appeared with his Psycho Cut attack, the Noibat was caught off guard and was sent back into the darkness by the attack. Enzu wasn't sure if the attack was enough to deal with the Noibat, but he decided to instead turn his attention back to the Woobat.
Since Akuroma's main attack was sealed, he needed to come up with some way to distract the Woobat. Enzu figured that if he could hit it with a strong enough attack, then that would break its concentration. So once Enzu was back on the ground, he began to charge up another Psycho Cut to use on the Woobat from an even closer range. Enzu began to run towards the second set of flapping wings that he heard, since it was most likely the signature of the Woobat. Enzu spotted one of the rocks that Akuroma had been controlling on the ground nearby, he then used it as a platform to jump from.
As Enzu was in the air he got in very close proximity to the Woobat, so close that he did not even need to launch the Psycho Cut. Enzu then swung the attack straight at the Woobat, causing it to fall towards the ground with a large amount of force. |

| Akuroma blinked, the force field fading form his bad, "Wow...the enemies in Serene Cave are a real disappointment," he said to himself. He then looked around his horns twitching as he sensed for the two Pokemon.
"Looks like that did in the Woobat, Enzu. Seems the Noibat ran off somewhere. Hopefully it doesn't come back," he said, walking up to Enzu and the Woobat. As he held up the torch, something caught his eye against the blueish stone of the cave floor. Akuroma bent over and picked up the item.
"Looks like I found a warp seed, could come in handy if we run into that Noibat again," he said, placing the seed in his bag.
"However, can we set up camp now?" he asked. His ears still felt like that screech attack was ringing in them and the rest of his body just felt weird from the Imprison attack.
