The Final Stretch of a Long Journey

Izumi stepped carefully into the undergrowth at the entrance to Shadowhue Forest and took a look around. It was a very ominous place and it got extremely dark almost immediately as one walked in, so Izumi was thanking Arceus that she had her nose to lead her around. Her eyesight probably wouldnt take her too far in this dark place; she was no Luxray. She waited a moment for her sister before continuing to pad further into the forest.

Although Tsukishiro padded carefully through the dense forest, she didn't seem to be too bothered by the darkness. She was excited. They were so close to their destination! This forest was the only thing standing between them and their new life in the Town. Grinning to herself at the thought, Shiro continued to walk with a spring in her step.

Izumi grinned slightly as she thought back on their adventure thus far. "This has been quite an eventful trip, hasn't it?" she chuckled slightly as they walked along, occasionally hearing a random twig snap.

Tsukishiro laughed, "That it has. Though I personally wouldn't mind life being this exiting all the time!"
The younger Absol grinned once more, imagining other places that could be as equally eventful. She wondered if there was anything worth doing in this forest, but then again why side track again? Both she and her sister were looking forward to getting to the Town, there was no need to prolong the journey any more than they already had.

"Excitement is always nice, but I'm hoping for a little bit of peace when we get to town." Izumi laughed in responce. "I admit I like my occasional outing, but for now I really just want to start studying up on exclusive items." she added, her eyes lighting up as she thought about her newfound passion. "I wonder if the town has a library?!......" she thought aloud giddily.

"I guess so..." she replied attempting to calm down as they continued wandering. Tsukishiro fell silent, trying to imagine what the Town might be like. She thought of it to be a cheerful place, even though she knew next to nothing about it. She couldn't help but wonder if the Pokemon there would be friendly... or if they would be just as bad as the more feral Pokemon that lived in the mountains...

Izumi's nose began to twitch as they passed through some more bushes. "Something tells me there's more than just us in here..... Not like that's super surprising......." Izumi muttered as leaves rustled beneath her feet.

"Well the forest isn't gonna be empty~" laughed the younger Absol, trotting along just ahead of Izumi. Just then she stopped, blinking. Just there stuck in one of the bushes ahead of them was a scarf. It was grey and the material was fluttering in the gentle breeze. Tsukishiro wandered over to it, tugging it easily off of the twig it was stuck on. Grinning, she trotted over to Izumi.

"Look what I fownd!" she grinned through the material.

Izumi laughed and strode over to see what her sister had found, but before she could say a word a much louder rustle than the ones she had heard before came from some yonder bushes. Izumi whirled around and took an offensive stance, ready for an attack from a feral forest Pokemon.

A Roselia and a Swadloon made their way out of the bushes. The Roselia narrowed it's eyes as she noticed the presence of the two Absol.

Tsukishiro stood awkwardly, unsure of what to do. She could either attempt to talk with the feral Pokemon, attack them with a scarf in her mouth, or put the scarf away, risking an opening for attack as she did so. Instead of any of them, she continued to stay still, waiting for the other Pokemon to make the first move.

The Roselia went immediatly to the offensive, launching a Poison Point at the younger Absol sister. Izumi jumped forward and countered the attack by parrying it away with her horn, hoping that the two feral Pokemon would focus on her and thus giving her younger sister a chance to do what she wished with her item.

The Swadloon used Razor Leaf, aiming for Izumi and trying to give the Roselia the upper hand. Tsukishiro used this time to quickly tie the scarf around her neck. It was a Defence Scarf, meaning she should, in theory, be able to withstand these attacks a bit better. Shiro then charged towards the Swadloon, her sickle-like horn glowing white as she prepared her Feint attack.

Once Izumi had successfully parried th first Pokemon's attack, she also charged forward and prepared a Scratch attack to use on the Roselia. The Roselia evaded it, however, and countered with a Sweet Scent attack that had an even greater effect on Izumi's sensitive nose than on a normal Pokemon's nose. She shook her head, trying to get rid of the strong scent.

With the Swadloon's slow movements, Tsukishiro easily hit her opponent. It was flung a few metres away by the force of the attack, giving Shiro a chance to help her sister. She leaped towards the Roselia, her claws glowing white as she used Scratch.

The Roselia tried to attack Izumi again while she was distracted, but Tsukishiro's attack cut it off and the feral Pokemon was flung into a tree. Izumi finally shook the scent off and prepared her Feint attack to finish the Roselia off.
