Berries of all kinds: Ren has a passion for plantlife, as he has lacked anything of the sort in his original home. With that came a special fascination for berries and he will collect them whenever he had the chance.
Hot, dry days: Wanderlust or not, Ren is still a desert Pokémon. Thus he's more comfortable in heat and drought than wet environments. Sunny days make him feel at home, especially if it has been continuously hot for a long time.
Exploration: That said, he does still have an enormous curiosity on him. Ren loves exploring, finding new things and digging up what was once lost. Hey, it was what got him to leave his old home in the first place.

» Dislikes:
Failure: Having a bit of a childish streak in him, Ren hates failure. Be it losing a bet to someone or failing an assignment, the Cactus Pokémon needs to win and succeed more than anything else. Simple failure is enough to throw him into a temper tantrum.
Rain, or water in general: Growing up in the desert, Ren isn't used to wet weather. As a result, he is more annoyed by rainy weather than your average Pokémon, growing rash and stingy if stuck in one. He also has a mild phobia for large bodies of water, as he has no idea how to swim.
Dishonesty: Being a rather naive Pokémon, Ren values honesty highly. Connected to this is, of course, his dislike for dishonesty. Liars and tricksters is one of his various berserk points and he will quickly fly into a rage if he figures out he has been lied to. On a similar note, if he catches ear that someone else has been tricked, he will immediately be there to help out and find the con. One does not trick and betray people around Ren the Cacnea.

» Personality:
Ren is an energetic, bubbly figure that is hard to miss and easy to remember. Even to complete strangers, he is a friendly figure that will always greet you with a bright hello and enthusiastic wave, always happy to meet someone new. In fact, "enthusiastic" can be used to sum up most of what he does, from interacting with others to exploring mystery dungeons, he always approaches things with his trademark raw energy that may or may not be a bit off-putting to others. He always puts his everything in everything, never sitting still, never resting, never stopping until he's either satisfied or unconscious. Naturally, a part of this is just sheer damnable stubbornness. Ren doesn't give up because he doesn't allow himself to give up and with this comes and iron-hard grip to his beliefs. Once he's set on something, you're not shaking him out of it and making him admit he's actually wrong is almost impossible. Some people call him childish as a result, his behavior is certainly one appropriate of someone much younger than him overall, but his zeal is undeniable. Get Ren on your side and you got yourself a relentless ball of energy, a loyal friend that will stand by you and keep moving even when you yourself have given up.

So, it's been proven that Ren has an incredible drive, a force that keeps him going and that never gives up. So what exactly does drive him? What is the goal of this incredible zeal? Simply put; sheer curiosity. Ren is smitten by an extreme case of wanderlust and has always been naturally curious. He wants to see new sights, to go where no Pokémon has gone before and to find the buried treasure that everyone else had forgotten about. This sense of curiosity and drive to explore is more than anything else what drove him to the idea of joining a guild and he is currently aspiring to prove himself to the guild of the town he currently resides in; Grassveil.

» History: Ren was born to two Cacturne in a dry, barren desert area. His birth, like most things in his early life, were fairly unremarkable. They lived as they lived, waltzing through the sandstorms, eating and drinking at the few moments the Cactus Pokémon actually needed sustenance. Nothing noteworthy really came up, nothing too important happened to him.

And this, more than anything else, was the single most important thing. Nothing ever changed. Ren was bored. He was happy with his parents of course and the Trapinch and other desert Pokémon they met made great company, but he wanted to see more of the world. He wanted to go out and explore, to see things. To experience something else than the oceans of sand he had grown up in. His parents were reluctant to let him go and he himself had second thoughts about leaving his home that abruptly, but ultimately, he left the deserts for the first time in his life, leaving for an eternity of new sights to discover.

Wasting no time, Ren began traveling. As a Grass Pokémon, he took a fascination to plants, especially berries, as these had been an all but forgotten sight at his dry home. In short, he began cultivating these berries, collecting them and selling them on to others, mainly exploration teams. Ever the friendly shopkeep, chats with his customers lead Ren to Grassveil Town, a flourishing little community with an explorer guild all of its own. Since then, the Cacnea has settled down there, hoping to make it into the guild and join one of the many exploration teams, seeing this as the ultimate way to see as much of the world as possible.

Okay, your energy is a bit off and you need to explain your likes and dislikes! Other than that, you seem to be good! You might want to change the merchant part. You can't run a shop and be in the guild at the same time, although if you wanted to just say he didn't have a shop anymore because he was in preparation for joining the guild, that's fine!
