The dark forest leaves rustled quietly as the wind passed by the trees from above, below the trees, near the trunks, lay a houndour. He had been up all night and was now sleeping quietly on the forest floor in peace. Zera had left Grassviel for the night, desiring to be alone for once in what felt like his life. Naps were a favored pass time of his, so being disturbed would not be wise if any pokemon were to pass by. The hound's ears twitched along with his legs slightly as he dreamed of ruling his own territory, and being the leader of a large and strong pack. The houndour howled in triumph in his dreamland as his fire swallowed those who opposed him. His laugh did not last long as a tsunami seeming to originate from nowhere put out the flames and whisked him away. The canine was shocked awake from the wall of water smashing into him, and remembered that it had just been a dream. He was both relieved and slightly disappointed, he wanted the first half of that dream to be reality, but he would have to work in order to do that. The houndour huffed, looking up at the leaves that obscured his view of the sky, it must have been night time from how excessively dark it was. The hound smiled, the cover of darkness was comforting, as was the absence of other company. There was less sound, and he was in peace an quiet. One problem, being alone meant he was more vulnerable. There was nobody to watch his back if he were attacked. The hound's ears flattened upon the realization, and suddenly he didn't like being so along anymore. The hound stood up, sniffing the air as he did so. He smelled nothing as the wind carried scents away from him, he quite liked Shadowhue, compared to that wretched Pecha Forest with that horrid sweet scent of pecha berries. It was quieter, darker, more befitting for a pokemon of this type. He would have claimed a bit of the land here if not for the chilly nights. He wanted someplace warm, someplace comfortable. He would have to move on soon, he needed to find a certain poochyena at some point and he doubted the pooch would have gone too far. The houndour huffed, and began his walk around the forest. | |

| Enzu was caught off guard by the Mightyena's sudden change in direction, and before he could determine what he was planning on doing by turning around, the Mightyena started kicking dirt towards Enzu. Enzu attempted to cover his eyes but a good amount of the dirt was still able to get into Enzu's eyes. Enzu then thought to himself, "So he knows some form of Fairy-type move, and he knows Sand-attack. Both of these moves mean that I need to keep moving in different directions so that he can't hit me." Enzu then ran to his side so that the Mightyena would hopefully have more difficulty catching him. With Enzu's eye sight impaired he also needed to be cautious of his steps. It looked like his sensory training wasn't completely over for the night. |

| The mightyena clumsily tried to turn mid-jump in attempt to catch the pawniard as it ran, but failed. It gave a low growl as its paw continued to glow a bright purple as the mightyena attempted to charge towards the pawniard, raising its paw as it was about to slam it into the pawniard. Zera watched, the pain in his wounds growing no worse as they continued to bleed out. Zera did not seem to care, it was deep, but not able to kill him. The hound laid his head on his paws, if he jumped into the fight, he would only receive more pain and get in the way of the stronger opponent. Now wasn't exactly a good time to be the headstrong strength hungering pup he usually was, besides, even this pup had some kind of intelligence in that thick skull of his. | |

| Enzu was glad that he was able to just barely dodge the first attack from the Mightyena. But unfortunately that meant the beast was getting more angry, and Enzu knew from experience that having an angered opponent can be both a benefit and a disadvantage, depending on the severity and type of anger, as well as how you yourself react to their anger. As Enzu hoped back he was running out of ideas on what he could possibly do. The Mightyena knew that his Psycho Cut would not work, and Enzu's scratch attack would take far too long to take down the beast.
And then Enzu came up with the best possible solution to his current problem. He had been working on the move Fury Cutter earlier that day and the move would be perfect for taking down a pokemon of Mightyena's type, but he had yet to perfect the technique. Enzu figured that this was his only shot at defeating the pokemon so he decided to take the chance. He began to charge up the attack, and his best chance at surviving.
As Enzu charged up the attack his blades began to glow with a red aura and the aura extended out. But unlike the crescent shape that the blades from his Psycho Cut took, these red blades went straight out forming what seemed to be extended swords coming out of Enzu's hand-blades. ((FYI according the bulbapedia page for this move, it takes on different forms and colors, so this form is just Enzu's form of the attack))
Enzu couldn't believe it, the attack seemed to form almost perfectly, however the blades were still on the short side. But since they were the only useful attack that Enzu had he had to use them. Enzu launched forward towards the Mightyena, even though his sight was still blocked by dirt, Enzu knew the general area of where the pokemon was, so he swung his blades into the Mightyena once he was close enough. |

| A lucky hit was struck as the blades cut into the Mightyena near the throat. The mightyena screeched in fear as it was nearly killed. The mightyena took a leap back before turning and high-tailing it out of there. Zera was surprised that the mightyena had fled so quickly, he assumed that the tough guy act was just a....well...act! The hound snorted at the mightyena's weakness, disgusted with its cowardice. He began to force himself to get up again, trying to ignore the pain and pretend the wounds were not even there. He would be just as weak as that mightyena if he complained over a little old wound, even if it was slightly deep. The black canine remained silent, not wanting to thank the Pawniard, but not wanting to do nothing to someone who had just saved his life, "I'll help with your dang dojo..." he grumbled with disgruntlement. | |

| As Enzu cut into the Mightyena's throat, he was surprised that he was lucky enough to land such a critical blow on the beast. It definitely made the fight much shorter then he thought it was going to be. As Enzu watched the Mightyena run off, his eyesight was starting to come back as he kept on blinking his eyes. Enzu then looked at the Fury Cutter blade that he had used to cut the Mightyena, it originally was to admire his new attack, but he also noticed once he looked at it that the blade seemed to grow in length. Enzu was curious about this change in the attack and decided to remember it for further study and practice.
When Zera was up and moving Enzu went over to him and gave the hound some support, since it was obviously injured. "You can help once your healed," Enzu said, "Now come on, lets get walking, you need to rest and the dojo is still decent distance away from here." |

| The houndour huffed in slight annoyance, he did not really want to follow, but then again, the pawniard DID beat the mightyena, which had beaten him. So did that mean the pawniard was stronger than him? He did not quite consider it luck that the mightyena had been beaten so easily, but it was because of the mightyena's cowardice. So he began to determine that he still had no concrete relation between his power and the pawniard's. The hound snorted once more, and followed the pawniard, deciding that he was thinking too much about this, and he should just take the offer now and ask questions later. He slowly got up completely, and tried to avoid limping as they walked, not wanting to show weakness once more. | |
