Do moves and abilities have to be used according to the video game descriptions? or to the anime series? I noticed that sometimes they're used differently in the anime than in the games. The move Will-O-Wisp for example, in the game it inflicts a burn while in the anime it's an attack that causes damage.

Well, we usually go by Video Game Descriptions, if Will-O-Wisp is used, it will cause a burn. It can however be used to perhaps blind an opponent and burn their eyes if they are struck in the eyes with an open eye but it would probably only damage their sight for a moment. Things are a bit more flexible here since you can use the environment and aim for certain spots on a body. It would depend on how you use it, but it WILL cause a burn.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll take both descriptions in consideration depending on the situation.
