| The Oshawott dodged Nate's first kick with ease, hopping backwards, however as he followed it up with a set of kicks, she found it harder to dodge each one successfully, resulting in a few near hits and grazes despite Violet's speed and precision dodging. At the jump kick-esque move the Pikachu made, Violet's glowing paws took on a charge of electricity as she replicated Nate's Thunderpunch move to counter the powerful electric jump kick. With a small grin as she watched Nate get up off the ground, "Those were certainly better than when you were kicking without the electric charge," she commented, before using her Copycat induced Thunderpunch again, charging head first towards Nate to see how he would react. | |

| Nate returned the small grin with one of his own, chuckling a bit as he watched Violet. "Thanks, I was-" His response was cut off by the Oshawott's next attack as she charged at him using a Thunderpunch, heading right towards him. Thinking quickly, the Pikachu stepped to the side, kicking out at Violet's feet while his were still carrying their charge, hoping to catch her off guard as he stumbled somewhat himself, getting better with keeping his balance after his attack. | |

| Though Violet watched Nate's movements as he stepped to the side and made to trip her over mid-charge, the momentum she held didn't allow for her to stop in time to dodge the Pikachu's kick. As Nate knocked one of her feet out from beneath her, she stumbled and fell onto her front, her paws losing their electric charge as she brought them up to shield her face in the fall. I wrote those two words and my first thought was TLoU /SHOT Sitting up with a chuckle, Violet picked up the pale purple flower that had fallen from it's position behind her ear and put it back where it belonged, "That was certainly smart!" she grinned, not seeming to mind that she'd been tripped and had fallen as a result. | |

| The Pikachu blinked, wincing as Violet stumbled and fell down from his tripping. He walked over to her, frowning somewhat as he did. "Sorry, it sort of caught me off guard and I guess I just did that by accident. Well, I mean, not accident, I meant to, but I guess I didn't expect you to really fall..." Nate quickly decided to drop the apology, sitting on the ground in front of Violet and smiling slightly. "Thanks." He settled with, nodding his head to her. | |

| "There's no need to apologise," replied the Oshawott sincerely; she really didn't seem to mind at all, still smiling cheerfully even now. "It was a good use of the limitations you'd been given. If anything you should be proud of your quick thinking," she chuckled, an almost amused look on her face as he sat down in front of her. She paused for a short moment, glancing up at the dojo's roof in thought before her gaze returned to Nate. "Well I think we can class that as a safe pass in using your feet," she smiled, "for now." | |

| "Well, yeah. It was just sort of a dirty tactic, plus I'd rather not knock you on your face." Nate chuckled slightly, a bit amused as well now that he saw she wasn't holding anything against him for it. At least, he didn't think she was. Usually he wasn't against playing a bit dirty in a fight, but that was only where it seriously mattered. He tried to stay away from those tactics when he was sparring with someone. "Alright, that sounds good to me then. What next?" The Pikachu questioned, grinning at Violet. | |

| "Well I suppose we can try and actual Magnet Rise now you're more prepared for it," smiled the Oshawott, retaining her cheerful demeanour. "I suppose this bit is going to be the hardest. You need to use the electricity you gather in your feet and alter the magnetism to be opposite to that which you'd normally use, in order to levitate you from the ground," she explained, trying to explain what it was he had to do, but unable to give a better example as she herself had never done it.

| "Right then, I guess now's as good a time as any for this kind of thing." The Pikachu nodded his head, standing up and taking a few breaths. To be honest learning the move was an exciting thought for him, it seemed like something new and different, and most importantly welcome to him. "So, first charge up with some electricity, then switch up the magnetism..." Nate muttered as his feet crackled with electricity, the occasional spark jumping off as well. He could tell that he had the electrical charge down, he just needed to figure out how to change the charge. "Any tips on how to-" His question was immediately interrupted as his feet lifted off from the ground, unexpectedly giving him very minor lift. The Pikachu promptly waved his paws around, trying to retain balance and instead falling back, landing on the ground and halting the electrical charge. "Actually, I think I figured it out. Sort of." Nate commented dryly, sitting up on the ground. | |

| Violet watched Nate's first attempt at a Magnet Rise with interest. Truth be told it was the first time she'd actually taught the move to anyone, so she'd hoped her instructions and tutoring had been clear enough and detailed enough to get the desired end result. She blinked as the Pikachu seemed to get some minor lift from the ground, smiling slightly before the Pikachu lost balance and toppled to the ground. Stifling a small chuckle so as to not hurt Nate's feelings, Violet helped him back to his feet. "Are you alright?" she asked. It hadn't been a very big fall, but it was always polite to check if someone was injured after all. | |

| Nate blinked, looking up at Violet with a grin and chuckling. "Yeah, I'm fine. I think I just need a bit more balance is all. And expecting to actually get off the ground. That might help." He responded, getting back up with Violet. The Pikachu took a few steps back, determined to get the move down as he took another breath. "Any sort of ideas on how to keep my balance better? Just thought I should ask before I do it again." Nate asked, already having an idea himself. He wondered if sending the charge to his paws as well and using all four limbs to stabilize himself would help much, or if it would only make it harder to stay up. Either way, he figured now was the time to test. And fail. But mainly test to figure out what worked and what didn't. | |

| Violet chuckled openly at his response before pausing in thought for a moment, "All I can really suggest it to try and spread your weight evenly," she replied, "I suppose the best thing really is to just try different things and see what works best for you." The Oshawott then took a step back to give Nate room to test his technique again. She did however remain prepared to help him regain his balance should he lose it again whilst attempting to levitate. | |

| "Great, trial and error. This can only go well." The Pikachu laughed slightly as the electricity began to charge in his feet again. This time Nate wasn't so caught off guard as he began to rise somewhat, managing to keep his balance with the small amount of lift he had. He smirked, looking down at his feet and the ground and taking the moment to feel good about his success. "Alright, I've got the whole balance thing down. I think. Now, I guess we need movement..." Nate commented, thinking about how he would be able to move around. | |

| Violet continued to observe the Pikachu's progress, he managed to balance quite easily this time around, likely due to actually knowing he'd be able to achieve lift this time. It was then he ran into the problem of being able to move whilst levitating in that way. "Hmm... well I suppose you could try shifting your weight in the direction you want to go. Though you'll have to be careful you don't lose your balance," suggested the Oshawott after a moment of thought. | |

| "Okay. Tilting. This should go well." Nate glanced down at his paws, somewhat hesitant on receiving another face-full of the dojo ground. Deciding to ease forward, he slowly tilted a bit, beginning to move forward. Regaining his balance, the Pikachu tilted backwards, floating back over to Violet. "I think I've got the hang of it." He said, promptly gasping slightly as he tilted a bit too far back and fell onto the ground once more, quickly standing back up. "I'm alright." Nate said without a thought, not even a second after he stood back up. | |

| "Awesome!" grinned the Oshawott cheerfully as Nate appeared to get the hang of using the new move he'd just learned. Of course it would still take a little more practice to perfect it - as evidenced by his tilting a little too far backwards and losing the lift that Magnet Rise granted him - but he was well on his way to being able to use it like any other of his moves. "Want to try again?" asked Violet after Nate got back up without hesitation, "You definitely improved from your first attempt," she grinned. | |
