[Artist's Corner] Pokémon of the Week (29th July - 4th August 2013)

Entry #1: I don’t know why but this sort of brings a happiness to me. Although the fact that the pidgey is smaller than a newborn one would be given the size ratio to the lilypad. I’d say this is still a top 5 for me.
Entry #2: This one is well drawn but it personally didn’t have a big impact on me.It’s well done however minus the fact that the beak is a bit misplaced under the left eye. Otherwise it’s still well drawn but just doesn’t look good I guess.
Entry #3: I Like the concept of it and the fact it looks a bit Sketched adds a bit of better looking feathers They had a large part of the caterpie being very important in the picture but they remained a very good Focus on the Pidgey. This is also in my top 5.
Entry #4: This one isn’t on my best side... The colors in this one just don’t seem to fade right into each other... Plus the fact that the details seem to just not be well done at all... I mean no offense to the person who made it, but it just doesn’t seem to fit the style I like.
Entry #5: Psst... Look to the right part of the image you can see a hidden face... *Clears Throat* Okay besides that... I personally like the image. Traditional is more of a favorite for me, although that won’t mean you’ll image will be my favorite as Digital can still pull ahead. I like the colors choices that seemed to be a bit better together. Plus the details were awesome but they didn’t try too hard on it... My third Image to be in the top five.
Entry #6: Anyways this is my fourth in my top five... It’s a nice image, and the pidgeys are still nicely drawn. It just seems like a nice image all together. One of those occasions digital beats Traditional for me at least. Also part of Top 5
Entry # 7: This seems to have a feel of a cartoon for me... Maybe someone tried to give it a Regular show feel? I’m not sure, Something of that nature. It’s not in my top 5 but it was close to being in there. Either way, it’s still nicely drawn but there is things like the size of it and the claws seem oddly done.
Entry #8: This was the last one in my top 5. It’s nicely drawn like the others and sits at my 3rd or 4th place. The thing that stops it from going higher was the fluffiness of the pidgey... Almost as if it got put into a dryer for a bit... xD But the drawing and style of it sits well with me. So 3rd place i guess.
Entry #9: I honestly have no clue, it seems like a good piece of work... that’s a bit crazy. I’m not sure what that on the bottom of the image is... Other trapped Pidgey’s? Some weird food? No clue... One of the reasons it isn’t getting that high of a rank for me at least.
Entry # 10: (Don’t worry this painful reading is almost over) Well First off, it lacks of color... That’s a big part. I’m not gonna say a sketch is never going to win, it may one day. But after the lack of color, comes the fact that it doesn’t really show much of the pidgey’s body.... It shows the head and that’s about it... Not much after that.
Entry #11: I do really like the style of the pidgey art in this one... The Colors seems a bit dark for a pidgey but It’s still good nonetheless. The background also seems well done although I’m not sure what that is in the center... A rock? But it’s a bit dark to be a rock... A Mound of Dirt? Eh it’s a bit odd to find a random mound of dirt... Either way it’s still well done... Not top 5 for me though.
Review: My Top 5 Are Entry #1, Entry #3, Entry #5, Entry #6, Entry #8. Although I think Entry #6 would be the one I like the most.
