[Artist's Corner] Pokémon of the Week (19th - 25th August 2013)

Hello there and welcome to the Artist's Corner and the Pokémon of the Week contest!

As you probably know before clicking this thread, the Pokémon of the Week contest is an art competition where each week a specific Pokémon is selected. Artists are challenged to draw the selected Pokémon in whichever method they prefer, traditionally or digitally, for a 500 poké prize!

This Week's Judges Are;

MexterInfinite*, who prefers to keep his preferences secret.
Xeryd*, who prefers a picture to be neat and cute.
Suds, who prefers something creative, yet realistic and with shading.

Please remember to PM all entries to me. Entries will be edited into this second post of this thread in groups every two days. Feel free to discuss the current entries but note that they may be subject to change depending on whether the artist feels the need to change something about their drawing, or withdraw from the contest altogether.

This week's participation prize (earned for merely submitting an entry) is a Oran Berry and will be received after this weeks judging has been completed.

Please note that entries will be put up every few days to prevent judges from trying to work out who's is who's from when they're added to the entry list. If you have sent your entry to me but it has not yet been added, it is likely i'm waiting for a few more entries before I put it up, especially within the first few days.

Heh. yea not much turnout this week.
However I have an announcement

From next week onward, the competition will be separated into two categories, Beginner and Advanced. You will be allowed to choose which category your entry goes into, however if I feel your entry is in the wrong category, I will move it.
There will be a 500 poke prize for each category. However you are still only allowed to enter one piece per week.

I like both of them... but I'd have to choose the 1st one. I don't really know, I guess it's a bit more neater that the 2nd one...

So it seems a unanimous vote for number 1. ALthough I personally think Number 2 was extremely close to winning also.

I mainly choose Number 1 because it fits into my preferences.

There's not as much shading as there is in Number 2, but Number 2 isn't creative. I was mainly looking for creativity. Sorry, Number 2.
