Kingdom Hearts: Shadows of the Solstice

It's been some time since the adventures of Sora, Riku, and the original cast as they made their way through their troubled times. Now, their are three new Kingdoms accompanying the Kingdom Hearts; the legendary source of light. The first is Kingdom Spades, an amassment of the darkness in us and in all worlds that has become a huge source of the world's darkness. The final two Kingdoms are much like Kingdom Spades, yet they are also derived from both Kingdom Hearts and Spades. They are Kingdom Clubs (a collection of bad intentions and lies from all humans and worlds), and Kingdom Diamonds (a collection of all the good intentions and truth).

These four Kingdoms collectively make up the "flow", "aura", "chakra", ect. ect. of all worlds and everything in existence. As long as all four Kingdoms remain locked, the balance of this all-important flow remains in check. If one of the Kingdoms is unlocked, however; the flow can become tainted with overexposure to that one Kingdoms power and chaos will ensue progressively throughout many worlds.

The worst imaginable scenario would be if all four Kingdoms were unlocked, in which case practically irreversible unraveling of the natural balance would occur and mass chaos would spread throughout all worlds. If this happens, the four Kingdoms' "final defense" mechanism, which is the fading of all worlds in existence into non-existence, will activate in order to protect themselves from the all-consuming madness.

In such an event (which as of now has no known cure), it is believed that a cure-all lies in the mythical place known as "Kingdom Cross"; an Empire that is rumored to lie in a world of it's own and be directly connected to all four Kingdoms. Not much is known about Kingdom Cross, however; and even though it is sought out as a last resort it is considered by most to be completely legend.

This all leads to what is known as the "Solstice of Eclipses"; a day that happens completely at random when all existing worlds are in alignment. This is a very powerful 24-hour event in which linear travel through all known worlds is possible. The Solstice is both a celebrated and feared event, for even though it has many benefits, it also has the power to potentially unlock all four Kingdoms and thereby bring about the equivalent of an existence-wide apocalypse.

In the time before the Solstice occurs, the reigning powers of world take three routine (and vital) courses of action. 1- The gathering of a large legion of Keyblade weilders/masters, Mages/Witches, and Rouges alike in case of a potential unlocking of the four Kingdoms. 2- Increased research on the four Kingdoms (as no complete method of effectively re-locking them AND restoring the natural balance has been discovered as of yet). And finally, 3- encouraging the search for Kingdom Cross.

Important Terms:

Kingdom Hearts: When someone is killed, their heart is released from their body and joins countless other hearts within the darkness. Formless, they go through the darkness until they reach a light, Kingdom Hearts. Despite being a source of light, Kingdom Hearts is full of heartless, as once the lone hearts reach it they take their usual form as heartless. It is from here the heartless are created and go out into the worlds to wreak havoc.

Kingdom Spades- Over the years, the world's darkness and the darkness within those who have passed on have come together to create Kingdom Spades, which is much like the Kingdom Hearts of Darkness. It is unknown how one goes about locking or unlocking it. It is in the shape of a large black spade.

Kingdom Clubs- Kingdom Clubs, a collection of the world's Greed, Lies, and Devilish thoughts. It represents the world's dark side like Kingdom Hearts does with the light. It is unkown just how it is locked or unlocked, but it is to remain locked, else the world's end will draw nearer and nearer. It takes the form of a large ruby red clover shape, more commonly known as a club, thus earning it's name: Kingdom Clubs.

Kingdom Diamonds- One of the four kingdoms of the universe, a collection of the world's honesty, saint-like thoughts, and generosity. It is the fourth and final kingdom that is too, to remain locked despite how much benefit it sounds like it would spread when opened. It's shape consists of four coungruent sides and two pairs of symetrical angles, giving it the shape of a diamond, and giving it it's name: Kingdom diamond. Its Morganite color glitters beautifully like the other kingdoms, it shines a ever so slightly brighter every time someone tries to do a good deed, or tells the whole truth.

Kingdom Cross: All worlds are connected, by one sky and one destiny. The four Kingdom worlds are no different, though their connection is even less known then the connection of normal worlds. The connection of Kingdom Hearts, Spades, Clubs and Diamonds is personified in Kingdom Cross. Containing some elements from all places, this location is unknown to practically everybody and houses enough force to bring about the end of the world.

Solstice of Eclipses- A naturally-occurring and completely random phenomenon where all the worlds in existence align, making linear travel through all known worlds easy and possible. It has the power to unlock all four kingdoms and release apocalyptic havoc upon all of existence. It is both celebrated and feared in all cultures.

Character Classes:

Keyblade Wielders/Masters: Those chosen by the Keyblade are typically the stronger of heart, though it all depends on who the Keyblade chooses and if they prove themselves. They are not a master in either physical combat or magic practices but instead use both, though some depend more on one then another. To become a master is a difficult task that only a few people achieve. Some more advanced and trained Wielders even have armor that they can summon to protect them.

Witches/Mages: Mages are typically the stronger in spirit, using their own energy to manipulate their environment and use it to their advantage. They may learn a variety of spells and magic types, or specialize in one specific type. While they do not work as much in the physical attack department their aptitude in magic carries them through countless hardships. Mages/Witches are also known for having Dream Eater partners who accompany them and add to their already vast powers. A Mages or Witches Dream Eater partner usually has a personality that compliments them. (A Witch is a female magic user and a Mage is a male)

Rouges: Rouges are the kinds of people who are stronger in body, preferring their own weaponry and physical abilities to magic. Still, they can use some magic, but most either choose not to or use it to enhance their own attacks. While they do not carry a Keyblade, they use various other weapons depending on their world they originate from, or simply their preference.

Soul/Spirit- This nature of Keyblade is more common among the ranks of Keyblade wielders who are also magic-based. While not being at the level of a Witch or a Mage, the wielder is more in touch with their own soul than most normal people (whether they know it or not), allowing them to draw power from it to power up their Keyblades.

Twilight- This Keyblade nature, while being rare like Darkness or Heart Keyblades, appears commonly among people people who have lingering scars or shadows over their heart. The intentions within these people's hearts may be pure, but they are often plagued and tainted by what darkness lingers within them. Receiving this Keyblade often marks a person who's is strong enough to fight past their scars. While not being quite as strong as Keyblades of Darkness originally, they can grow to be extremely powerful and usually excel with physical power.

Ray- This special Nature of Keyblade often glows like a strong ray of light. It appears in the hands of people who have a large amount of innocence and/or hope for the future. They aren't quite as strong as Light Keyblades when they first appear, but they have the potential to become one of the most powerful types of blades for those who are willing put the time and effort it takes to power them up. They're lighter, faster, and involve more skill than any other Keyblade.

History: Gage grew up in Twilight Town in a abusive family. It didn't help he got bullied at school. The only place he could go to escape from everyone was a abandoned garage were he would stay and hangout. He always had strong hope though that he would be saved from were he was at.

Personality: Gage is open about his life with people when they get to know him. He is quiet but speaks up for other people if he can. He enjoys helping others though and making new friends.

Keyblade Nature: Ray

How You Obtained Your Keyblade: Gage obtained his key blade during an eclipse. He was sticking up for a friend but was losing. When the attacker was about to finish them their was a flash. The only thing Gage could see was an eclipse in the flash. Coming from the eclipse were two blades, one coming from the moon's shadow and the other from the suns light. When they reached him he saw the blades in full view. But not for long. The one named Luna began moving over the one named Sol. Then he noticed the key chains dangling from the blades. The key chains formed the eclipse and created the blade Eclipse. When the flash was gone, the sword scared the bully enough to chase him away.

History: As far as records go, Yamato was born on August 19 to his parents. He had good grades, and a liking of books, so he went to the library often. At the age of 16, the library was burned down with Yamato trapped inside. Yamato was chosen by his Keyblade, the dark Silentium, at this moment, and utilized it immediately by locking an open door shut above him so that burning debris didn't fall on him. However, his right arm was still required to be amputated off, and he entered a coma before waking up knowing how to use the keyblade at an advanced level, as well as know how to utilize the darkness safely. Nobody but him knows what happened in that coma, but it involved Dream Eaters. Now, he utilizes Silentium to help his world.

Personality: Silent but deadly, Yamato is a strategist of a male who thinks before he leaps. He tends to be rough and strict at first, but feels a certain guilt afterwards and apologizes, giving positive reinforcement after the negative. He's quite the rule-keeper, and plays referee when heads come butting together, even joining the fray to kick both the parties into shape before lecturing them. When it comes to battle, he will stop at nothing to destroy and maul the enemy into submission, and even then, he will cripple them in some way to make sure they stay down.

As said before, he feels a guilt after all the insulting and will try to help them out positively after. He also gets hot and flustered if he contradicts himself, and shows a certain soft spot for cute things, like sheep. The lavender-haired youth may also show an out-of-character form of partnership, tranquility and adorableness around a girl he respects.

The negative emotion that his darkness feeds off of is 'domination'.

History: Ji grew up in Twilight Town with his mother and father, and alongside a group of close friends. His life was relatively uneventful, but soon he started to grow away from his friends and family and started to feel confined in his world. One night when he was actually hanging out with one of his few remaining friends they went off to a more private section of town. While there, his friend fell victim to some shadow heartless, being attacked before Ji. Due to where they were, Ji was unable to get him help in time and he was killed, while Ji ran off. Blaming himself for it, he spent his future time isolating himself, until he met a girl named Neru one day and accidentally gained the ability to wield a keyblade from his meeting with her. He did not see her again for a while and eventually forgot about her, but after beginning to move past his isolation he summoned his keyblade for the first time, and began to practice using it.

Personality: While he may be a little bit cold or shy at first when meeting someone inadvertantly, Ji is trying to move past that and is a relatively focused guy who manages to keep in mind what has to be done, and take the advantage to make a few jokes on the way. Some situations can cause him to become more serious, but for the most part he keeps a sarcastic tone about him. He can sometimes become headstrong or reckless under certain conditions, and is a primarily physical attacker with his keyblade.
