» Likes: electricity (self-explanatory), hugs (affection-starved), trees (easily fascinated and he did spend most of his life in a cave), meeting new Pokemon, fluffy things, having his "routines"

» Dislikes: rainy days, boat rides (besides getting sea sick, he doesn't like the thought of being stranded in the middle of a large body of water), and has a serious mistrust of ribbons, no matter how pretty they are (seems to get tangled up into things easily), being interrupted while he's talking or while he's doing something

» Personality: Dex is an oddball but a polite and soft-spoken oddball. He's pretty naive about the world around him, growing up in a very sheltered environment (a cave) with little exposure to things outside of it. He's naturally curious. He's overly affectionate, taking any chance he can get to hug someone or something (including just ordinary objects). He does appear to understand the concept of personal space; he just seems to ignore it whenever it suits him.

» History: Dex is the offspring of a female Galvantula and a male Ariados. The relationship did not last long... for reasons unknown to Dex. His father left their cave not long after he had hatched. Furthermore, his mother is a mute and tends to be emotionally distant. This seemed to sit fine with Dex's ten or so brothers and sisters but not with him. So, it wasn't long before he set out to find a way to fulfill his emotional needs... within the same confines of the cave. It was only through complete accident that he ended up out of the cave after hugging a particularly irate Geodude. Fascinated by his new surroundings, he has wandered much further than he ever has before. When he ends up in Grassveil Town, he learns of a guild for explorers, and without much thought on the matter, he decides joining this "guild" thing would be just as fun as leaving the cave is!

» Other: Because of his sheltered life, Dex often sounds kind of "out there" when he speaks or even kind of dumb. He frequently refers to the sun as the "giant chargestone in the sky ceiling." He also has a tendency to describe most pink Pokemon as "Clefairy," most fire Pokemon as "Magmar," most water Pokemon as "Magikarp," most grass Pokemon as "Oddish," most bird Pokemon as "Starly," and every other Pokemon (that doesn't dwell in caves) are considered Pikachu. He does not appear to accept correction on this matter, but he will call other Pokemon by their name once he's introduced.

Dex also has developed a few routines for specific situations. For instance, before going to bed, he circles his sleeping spot exactly three times before laying down.
