Platinum Nuzlocke RP

First topic message reminder :

Rules of the Nuzlocke;
1. Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released/boxed for eternity.
2. The player may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and no others. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances.
-However if a shiny Pokemon is encountered at any time, you are allowed to catch it but not use it unless it is the first Pokemon encountered in a given area.
-No duplicate captures. If you have already caught a Pokemon, you cannot catch another one (This rule still counts if it is in the same evolutionary family as a Pokemon already caught)
-Gift Pokemon can all be used.
3. All Pokemon must be nicknamed.
4. No man-made items can be used. This includes potions, full heals etc. Berries and other natural items can be used, as well as hold items. Exp. Shares however cannot ever be used.

"Ah! There it is! Lucas, nice work. What I was about to do was to entrust these three with their own Pokémon," he smiled, reaching down to pick up the briefcase.
Lucas blinked, looking at Professor Rowan in disbelief.
"Wha...?! Those Pokémon are crucial. You're giving them away?"
Rowan turned to Lucas.
"Lucas. We exist side by side with Pokémon. There comes a time when people should meet Pokémon. There is a world that should be explored together. For them, today is that time. The place, right here."
Rowan then turned to the three youngsters in front of him.
"Go on! Choose a Pokémon!" he grinned, opening the briefcase in his arms so that the trio could see the Pokeballs inside.

Jay hesitated for a moment before picking out one of the Pokeballs. Glancing at Rowan again for a second conformation, she took the ball out of the briefcase and took a deep breath before she opened it.
A pale white light came from the Pokeball and through it, materialised a Piplup. Jay blinked and grinned before kneeling on the ground so that she was nearer to the same size of the Piplup.
"Hi there!" she smiled, attempting to bond with the water-type Pokemon.
"You need a name...." she thought quietly before choosing one.
"I know. I'll call you Bubbles!" she smiled. The Piplup grinned in return, seemingly happy with the name.

Sakura testily walked over to the briefcase and then took out a Poke ball, feeling much more confident she clicked the button. A white light went out and enveloped the tiny Pokémon but then after a second disappeared to reveal a Chimchar. "Hi, is it okay if I name you Charii?"
"Chimchar!" the Chimchar agreed grinning at her new trainer.

Barry walked up to the last Poke ball and opened it, "You’re up!"
A similar white light shot out of the Poke ball and gathered on the ground then vanished.
"Turtwig!" the grass type said.
"Hm...I'll name you Twig!" Barry said with a not so dramatic finality.

"Very well! Now, listen carefully. The Pokémon you have been entrusted with are unfamiliar with the world. In that regard, they’re much like you. As fellow newcomers to the world, I hope you’ll all do well together."
The professor smiled warmly at the trio. Jay had looked up when Rowan had started speaking. Bubbles had paid close attention too, though he didn't exactly know what it al meant.
"If you have any trouble, come see me at my lab in Sandgem Town. And now, we’ll be on our way."
Rowan closed up the briefcase and wandered off towards Sandgem Town.
"Professor! Wait for me!" Yelled Lucas, running to catch him up.

Jay smiled and waved to the two of them as they left. She then picked up Bubbles.
"You really are cute aren't you!" she grinned.

Barry looked at Twig and then said to Jay "I've been waiting to say this for along time, Let's battle!"

Sakura looked up from playing with Charii, "Barry, you cant just ask to battle right now..."

"Of course I can, we got our first Pokémon and now it's only the right thing to battle!"

"Fine only if Jay agrees." She said shortly.

"You sound like my mother." He frowned.

"Someone has to otherwise we'll both be killed!" She shot back

"Okay okay, Jay do you accept the battle?" He said slowly.

"Uhm..." Jay blinked, "Sure? I guess."
She put Bubbles back down on the ground. The Piplup looked up at her and she smiled back at him.
"Just do your best, okay?" she grinned. Bubbles nodded in reply.

"Alright then Bubbles, use Pound!"
The Piplup leaped towards the Turtwig, his wing-flipper glowing as he prepared to hit the Turtwig with the move.

"Twig use Withdraw!" the Turtwig hid in his hard shell making the pound hit the shell which started moving and the shell hit the rock and was going back at the Piplup at an astonshing speed.

"Are you sure that won't hurt your Pokémon?" Sakura asked worriedly,

"You worry to much of course not!"

"Bubbles dodge and Growl, quickly!"
The Piplup nodded, swiftly leaping out of the way of the rebounding shell. Within seconds he was back on his feet and let out a powerful Growl, attempting to intimidate the Turtwig and lower his overall attack power.

"You're doing great Bubbles!" smiled Jay who was now getting into the swing of things.

"Nice try Twig!" the Turtwig nodded and turned back to his opponent. "Withdraw again!"
The Turtwig this time increased his overall defense making attacks by the Piplup do not as much damage.

"I see what you are doing..."

"Shhh little sister, you don't want to tell Jay what my plan is!" He smiled wickedly.

"Use Pound again! Keep them going!"
Bubbles leaped towards the Turtwig again whilst he was still inside his shell. He knew it would do minimal damage, but it would be more than none at all. Both of the Piplup's flippers glowed white and it began to hit the Turtwig relentlessly. Even then he remained poised to attempt a dodge if it were necessary.

"Twig, Now!" the Turtwig quickly popped out of his shell, and headbutted the Piplup, knocking him back.

Jay didn't even need to shout a command as Bubbled blocked the surprise attack with his still glowing flippers. Because of this quick defence, Twig would be the one taking the damage. His head had no protection from the Piplup's move.
"Growl again, but keep your flippers ready for attack!" Called Jay.

Bubbles nodded, his beak opening to release another loud growl.

The Turtwig was battered, but still standing. After being hit by the Growl attack it simply wated, ready for an attack.

"Seems like Jay is winning." Sakura said secretly feeling glad.

"Twig is like me, he'll know what to do."

"Growl again then go in for an attack!" Yelled Jay, willing her Pokemon on. Twig had yet to directly attack with a proper move and so Jay suspected that he would soon enough.

Bubbles growled again before he started running towards the Turtwing, his flippers still glowing white with twit added power as he went in for a hit.

The Turtwig waited for a minute, then at the last moment, he turned so that his shell faced the incoming Piplup dazing the penguin Pokémon

"Now Tackle!" Twig quickly hit the slightly dazed Piplup.

"I doubt that would do much..."

"Shhhh."

The Piplup merely hit the shell with his flippers instead of hitting the Turtwig head on, meaning that he was otherwise unaffected. When Barry called out Tackle, Jay immediately used the time that the Turtwig had to take to turn back around, to call out her next move.

"Block it like before with Pound!"
Bubbles nodded, crossing both flippers in front of him to absorb the brunt of the damage. Of course he was still hit, but Twig couldn't have got away without sustaining damage either.
