The Secret Life of Cats Empty
PostSubject: The Secret Life of Cats   The Secret Life of Cats EmptySun Jul 27, 2014 3:15 am

Oscar spread out in the sun, the rays warming him. The taste of fish still lingered in his mouth. His tail swished back and forth, falling lazily over the side of the high wall. This was the life.

The sandy colored Savannah lived on the street, sometimes taking handouts from the families living in the suburbs. It was a good way to live. Hunt a few mice, eat some cat nip, get some milk every once in a while, and maybe flirt with the local felines.

He yawned loudly.

Yes. The good life.

Ah man, it's so good to be a cat. That's what Tom was thinking as he strolled across the streets of a normal town. He saw all the humans that lived there and how annoying it would be if he was one of them. Having to go to work everyday, pay taxes, deal with other annoying people, it seemed so stressful. A life like that didn't seem fun at all. Being a cat was completely different.

Being a cat meant that none of the annoying things were present at all. No need to go to a job in order to live, or pay taxes to keep your home. For cats, the whole world was your home. Anytime Tom needed a place to rest at, he could find one. If he needed food, there were plenty of humans that would give him some because of how cute he was. He can go anywhere and do anything. This is a real life. The best kinda way to live.

What was that?! That angry sounding roar, it sounded like the thing one of his humans used to drive around on, but there was many of them. The feline peeked his head out of a cardboard box that he had spent the night in. He had a perfect view of the line of monstrous vehicles slipping by at slow speeds as if taking a stroll.

Oh, right. They were those things that the humans usually got around with in these parts. They were vastly different from the large green machine with two large wheels. He recalled the events in the past week, as the fog of sleep dispersed from his mind. It was late at night when the strangers had gotten rid of him, he had barely strayed from the box, too afraid to stray far.

He had promised himself that this was the day he would take off. The rats in the vicinity were learning from the other's mistake of getting too close to the box, and fresh food was becoming scarce. He needed to find another place similar to his old home, along with figure out if there was any way to return. The barn had been full of the dim fat rats, those smaller humans would come out and groom him, along with playing with him.

The first thing he had noticed when he had been left in a town's alley in a box, was that the weather was different. It had rained, and the heat didn't beat down as harshly as it used to. Did the humans make the sun move farther away or something?

The feline stood, figuring that he was just stalling from leaving the apparent safety of the box. He took a deep breath, before leaping out. A deep black pelt arched over the box's edge and amber eyes laid on the street before him with crawling cars. A dark strip encircled his neck, with a metallic circle that hung from the neck with human words engraved into it, "Cazador". Cazador couldn't read the writing, he had no clue why the humans had even placed the strange collar on him, but he did know that once it was placed on him, the humans would make a strange sound whenever they wanted him to come near, "Caza"

Cazador stared into the sidewalk and the street, before setting out on his adventure.

--

'Holy mother of all things holy this was a bad ideaaaa!'

Caza had wandered into a strange garden area with a strange white picket fence after a hour of walking about and nearly getting run over a few times. The garden seemed like a nice place, and it had a bright colored area with flowers and a rather intoxicating sweet scent coming from the brightly colored garden. He had wandered near, and a dog had rushed out from inside the house, barking like they had never barked before.

Caza had frozen with fear at first, but he quickly regained enough sense to flee when the dog grew close. He had experience with dogs, but only one. It was a rather old one that helped one of his humans with the other barn animals. It was rather dim witted itself, but the barn animals were even stupider. The dog didn't seem to mind him, but the teeth the dog held and showed off when tearing into meat the owner threw it told the cat that dogs were not to be messed with.

He fled back to the picket fence, leaping over and just barely avoiding the jaws of the dog snapping onto his tail. He crossed through a street, causing a car to screech to a halt and unleash a high pitched roar. Caza kept running, only stopping in the yard of a vacant and run down house. The trash and tall grass in the yard would tell anyone that the previous owners didn't quite take everything with them, but to Caza, it was just a good place to hide.

He didn't quite notice him running past a tom walking about and hide a house or two over from where a sandy colored tom also lazed about.
