That One Snowy Summer Empty
PostSubject: That One Snowy Summer   That One Snowy Summer EmptySun Jan 06, 2013 5:03 am

Jack sat solemnly on the roof of his house in the early morning, his Horsea partner hovering next to him. It was still dark and he watched her, playing with the temperature around her and trying to find the one she found easiest to move through. Mizuryu had two fins, rather than the average one fin you would find that a Horsea had. Jack had always wondered why, but had never said anything to his Pokemon. He didn't mind though, it helped her swim and float in the air better than any other Horsea he knew, so it was a major plus point in the end.

He blinked as the Horsea blew a short Bubblebeam move at him to catch his attention. Smiling he looked at her.
"Best one?" he asked, Mizu nodding in reply.
"Awesome," he grinned before flopping down onto the roof. He had all these awesome powers that Kyurem had granted him, but there was only a limited amount of things he could do with them without it seeming suspicious. Summer after all, was the time of the year when the temperature was at it's hottest. To leave remnants of snow and ice around was to basically shout to the world that something weird was going on.

Despite these thoughts, he knew how much he wanted to test out these new abilities. Heck, he wanted to make it snow. Snow was so much more fun than the searing heat that summer brought with it. Jack sat up and glanced around. It was still dark, so no one was up yet. What if he did make it snow? No one could possibly know it was him. No one that is.. except Kyurem, Mizu and perhaps the other guardians that Kyurem had briefly mentioned. Everyone loved a bit of snow, so why not?

"Heh, Mizu. What would you say to a bit more snow around here?" he asked. The Horsea knew she should probably be trying to convince Jack not to make it snow.. but heck, she loved snow too. It was a benefit of not yet having official Dragon typing. You could enjoy a bit of snow and ice without worrying that Ice type Pokemon were going to come around, like they did in winter.

Jack chuckled at his Pokemon's indecisiveness. "I guess that settles it then... one day can't hurt. Surely?"
From his seat on the roof, he picked up his staff and got up to his feet.
"Alright then, lets see what happens!" he grinned. After he was done, he climbed down and snuck back into his bedroom, using the window so he didn't wake the adults of the house by opening the front door. There were remnants of the still falling snow on his cloak, but he ignored them in favour of catching some shuteye before the whole village woke up.

Time skip til morning~

Mausumi blinked awake slowly in her bed. She shivered, it was so....cold. She shook off the cold feeling and sat up. There were no blankets. No wonder why it's so cold, oh well, I'll check on Rhythmi she thought and walked over to where the Dragon Pokemon slept, but she wasn't in her nice bed that Mausumi took a while building. "Ehh, that's strange. Rhythmi, Rhythmi where are you?" She asked, walking through the darkened house. She found the Dratini wrapped up in a cocoon of blankets, so much that you could barely see the Dragon-Type's muzzle. "So that's where all the blankets went. Why are you really that cold?" Mausumi said cheerfully picking up the Pokemon, and walked over to the window and opened the curtains, hoping to let a little light in. Her eyes widened and she grinned, "It's a Christmas...no wait...Summer Miracle!" She said happily and quickly went upstairs to change into something warmer. Once she was wearing proper snow clothing, she picked up the shivering Dratini and dashed outside into the snow. "I knew that there was such things as Summer Miracles!" Mausumi yelled as she plopped down on the snow.
(Omg the poor Dratini xD)

Jack was already outside in the cold by the time Mausumi woke up, having the time of his life whilst wearing the thinnest layers of clothing. A.k.a, hi plain white shirt, brown pants and a brown cloak. Heck he wasn't even wearing shoes as he had forgotten to put them on in his excitement.

He tried to casually wander through town and see what everyone was up to, but he couldn't contain himself and in the end, he ended up running around like a crazy person, throwing snowball at every person he could spot. One of these such people was Mausumi.
"Summer miracles eh?" he grinned, tossing another snowball up and down in his free hand, whilst holding his staff in the other. It wasn't a few more second before he threw that snowball too.

Mausumi looked up just as a snowball smashed onto her face. "Hey!" she yelled and grabbed a bunch of snow balled it up and stood up. "Happy Birthday! You get one free snowball to the face!" Mausumi yelled grinning and the wind picked up the direction was near where Jack was standing. Well I could have some fun with the wind....Why not it's snowing! She thought and suddenly the wind faced exactly where Jack was and it picked up until it was a howling monster that tried to blow over everthing in it's path. Snow flew everwhere (including one gift-wrapped Dratini) and she yelled, "Here you go!" and chucked the Snowball. It flew quickly reaching breakneck speed as it went for inpact with the boy.

Jack laughed, but easily dodged the snowball, standing on his staff and using it as a perch as the snowball whipped past where he had previously been standing.
"You'll have to do better than that!" he grinned, creating another snowball from scratch under the cover of the small snowstorm, whilst still perching on the curved top of his staff.

Jack was lucky in the way that due to blizzards being part of his icy powers, he was nearly not affected by them. Right now he was in his element, happy to leap around and throw balls of snow at people. And he did just that, throwing his third snowball at Mausumi.

Mausumi grinned, "Are you sure about that?" and had already lobbed another snowball, right as Jack threw a snowball at her. Mausumi hit the ground in a seemingly attempt to dodge the attacks, but when she stood up,a snowy white ball of crystals was in her hand, and she promptly relaunched her attack against Jack, "Anyways I still haven't returned the favor!" Mausumi might be chosen for Wind, but she still loved snow. "Oh yeah, what's your name? I'm Mausumi!" She yelled in the middle of their snow battle...in summer.

The snowball hit Jack squarely in the face and he toppled off of his perch on the top of his staff and into the soft blanket of fresh snow. He laughed before sitting up and grinning at Mausumi.
"I'm Jack, pleased to meet you!" he smiled, glancing around for his Horsea partner.
She was hovering a few metres away, trying to keep clear of the snowball fight that the two were having. Chuckling, Jack motioned towards her using his staff, "Oh and that's Mizu."

Mausumi grinned before looking around suddenly. "Hey that reminds me, where is Rhythmi?" she mumbled before looking around the snow. Finally she swiped her hand across some snow, uncovering the Dratini. "This is Rhythmi!" She said cheerfully, picking the Dragon Type Pokemon in her arms. "Normally she would be out and about, but I guess the snow and ice doesn't mix well with her." Mausumi smiled, still cheerfully oblivious to the torture she was causing rather unhappyness of Rhythmi from being in the snow. "Oh, what's your last name. I completely forgot to tell you mine~ It's Thyra~"

Jack frowned apologetically as he saw the Dratini, "Sorry Rhythmi." It was likely that Jacks snowballs had been the one to cover the Dratini in snow in the first place, but what he was really apologising for was creating the snowy weather in the first place, not that anyone but he and Mizu knew that.
"Oh, last name? Mine's Yukito," he smiled, getting to his feet.

"Don't worry about it! Rhythmi will be fine in a few minutes!" Mausumi said cheerfully. "Anyways, it wasn't your fault that the snow came in the first place!" She said, not knowing how false her statement was. "Wait a minute....Jack.....Yukito?" Suddenly she burst into laughter, falling onto the snow rolling over and over again. "Alright then, I'll call you Bunny! Bunny Bunny Bunny~" Mausumi said over and over again between giggles.

Jack smiled sadly at Mausumi's words. Maybe he had been wrong to bring the snow, especially in the summer when everyone was used to such warmer weather. He wasn't helping any of the dragons that roamed the village either, they were probably all freezing. Perhaps that was all he could do, make everyone cold and ill. He held back a sigh before blinking at Mausumi's reaction to his last name.

"O-kay...?" he said, looking to Mizu and asking if she had any idea what was so funny. The Horsea shrugged as best as she could with her two fins and Jack turned back to Mausumi as she started to call him bunny.
"Hey! My name's Jack, not Bunny," he replied, pretending to be offended by the nickname.

"Well maybe you should be called that instead, Bunny~" Mausumi grinned as she managed to get up onto her feet without laughing, "Or Snow Bunny!" Mausumi offered, as she picked up Rhythmi, "That could work, but it's to long, so I'll just call you Bunny!" Mausumi cheerfully danced around not noticing Jack's orginal mood. (Well depressed) "Snow bunny is rather catchy though." She said teasingly pretending to try to decide between calling Jack bunny or Snow Bunny.

Jack stood up, wandering around a few steps and waving his staff around as he pretending to think. As he did so, he silently formed a snowball in his hand, hiding it beneath his thin cloak as he wandered.
"Well~" he began, leaving a dramatic pause in between, "Maybe I'll just have to call you Mouse then!" he grinned, stopping his wandering all of a sudden to launch a surprise snowball at Mausumi. He laughed, Mizu giggling too as her trainer started up the snowball fight again.

Mausumi watched Jack wander around, pretending to think. As she recieved a nickname by him she grinned, "Mouse is an amazing nickname and don't you forget it!" She chidded Jack before getting a mouthfull of snowball. Mausumi couldn't help but laugh to, as she quicklly bent down and grabbed as much snow as she could and quickly forming it into projectiles bomarding Jack with Snowballs, "Snowball Fights are amazing Bunny~ Such a good idea!" She grinned as she quickly made another pile of snowballs.

Jack laughed at the mouthful of snow Mausumi had just received, "An amazing nickname huh? I guess I'll just have to put up with being called Bunny then."
Jack hadn't been idle whilst Mausumi was making her snowballs, but he used his staff to deflect a lot of them, ducking another before one finally hit him square in the face. He quickly threw one back in return though, before running past Mausumi and out into a more open area of the village.
"Darn right they're amazing!" he grinned. Perhaps ice wasn't so bad. After all, people recovered from their sickness and everyone always had fun when it snowed. Just then an idea popped into his head.
"Why don't we go ice skating on that huge lake in the forest?" he suggested. They could bring the little kids from the village. He was pretty sure they'd love to try ice skating too.
