A figure walked out on the path. It seemed to be searching, for what could not be told. It was a small rufflet who's fluff on his neck was set aflame. He did not feel pain from this, it was as natural to him as his wings and beak. His fire did not spread when the leaves brushed it, if they could have spoke with a mind of their own the leaves would have said, "Brr, it's quite cold!" the bird looked up at the sun, which was high in the sky.
"Follow the setting sun for four days." The pink blob that was a ditto had said, "Find a blade of cool grass and water that defies gravity. There you will find the path that leads o the answers of your questions." The rufflet traveled for a few more hours until he came across a large meadow with a large tree in the midst of it. Flowers of all sorts blanketed the field, red, blue, yellow, and purple all in one field. Rave wondered just what had he come across, was this the place she would meet the "Blade of cool grass and water that defies gravity"?
The rufflet stepped into the field, ignoring the occasional caterpie that was scattered through the field. He didn't notice the pinkish shadow in the trees, the odd frozen flower, or the rainbow in the sky.

| Rave felt a sense of dread drop on him, he thought for a moment about saying, "I don't think I'm the one your looking for." but something kept him from speaking. He looked to the gardevior, he worried over the death chancing to be his own. He swept the thought out of his brain and said, "I'll do it." he looked to the strangers next to him, a plume of his fire flitted into the air and the fire seemed to relax a bit. He waited for their answers, he didn't care if they came or not. Even if the prophecy said they would fail alone, he would still feel that he would try. He knew there was no escape from this fate. | |

| "Whoa there, Fireball," blinked Laurel, "Arceus? How are three tiny Pokemon supposed to deal with the darkness if even Arceus has failed to defeat it?" Laurel was all for marching off on some random quest, heck it would probably take her mind off of her personal problems. However, this whole thing just had a sense of hopelessness. If the creator of their entire universe wasn't powerful enough to hold the darkness back, then surely there was no chance that three oddly typed versions of his 'creations' could do anything about it. | |

| Harmonica shrugged, "How am I supposed to know? I just pass messages along...although, I heard about this group of two that defeated Dialga, Palkia, Darkrai and all the Regis, and they weren't even able to evolve! But that might be just a myth....although if that legend is true, then it is possible that three pokemon might be able to take down what the legend could not. The thing is, we can't do this alone. In the legend, they had each other, which made them stronger. I doubt that they could have done this alone." She explained.
Leia blinked, she wanted to do the entire thing, but why should she go on a doomed prophecy? Someone was going to die, and with her luck it's going to be her. And if they don't work together, then they would all die. Maybe it would have been better to steer clear of this prophecy.

| "Are you absolute cowards?" Rave asked, he had decided to try and bait them into the quest. He didn't want to go out on a quest he was going to fail if he went on his own, "Look at us, you two are different colors and I'm on FIRE. We are different from normal pokemon and there is three of us. Of course we can take this quest down! The prophecy didn't say that it was one of us that was going to die!" He leaped back into the tree, furiously flapping his wings. He landed on a tree branch and said, "I can fly and burn, Lei can swim and float, Laurel can freeze things at will and control plants. Of course we can beat Arceus, he's not at his prime when he's not himself!" | |

| Laurel didn't care much for what Harmonica said but her inky coloured eyes did not look away from Rave's for even a moment. They remained level with the Rufflet's as he fluttered up onto the higher branch and pointed out everything that was different about them.. or not so different. For some reason, looking at any one of these three Pokemon made her feel... sad, unhappy. They were all good Pokemon and she could sense it somehow. They probably had nothing to fear from the prophecy because their pasts were likely not 'dark.' Maybe if she did go on this quest, she would make up for all the bad she had ever done.
"Fine i'll go on the stupid quest," she replied, "But not because you illustrated everything that makes us different from the rest of the world." The Snivy's eyes finally averted from Rave's and Laurel hopped down from the tree. She wanted the Rufflet to know that he wasn't the one who had changed her mind and that she was her own person with her own motives.

| Leia listened to Rave rant on about how they were different and blah blah blah. She was tempted to Zap Cannon the Rufflet, just to have some silence. Even though the Rufflet is part Fire, it should still be super effective. she thought before shaking her head. She should be thinking such bad thoughts, it wasn't good! Eventually she felt guilt tripped into saying, "Fine. I'll join in. But our motives, our ideas, our entire being are natural opposites. How do you exepct three Pokemon, to work together expecially since, one of them is fire, one of them is grass and one of them is water?" She asked Rave.
Harmonica sighed. It seemed like the trio wasn't really working along. The Rufflet was attempting to bring them all in, the snivy is annoyed at this act, and...maybe the Oshawott is right.

| ((New name of the topic: Everybody hates Rave! xD))
Rave sensed that he was just annoying the duo and silenced himself. He yelled at himself mentally that he should have kept quiet and not said anything at all. We said nothing when Leia pointed out on how they might not get along. He didn't know himself and decided to keep his beak shut this time. He didn't see himself as helping whenever he spoke. He hopped down from the tree and his fire seemed to grow a bit smaller and flickered a bit slower.

| (Dawww D:)
"As long as Fireball over there doesn't start burning my scales I'm fine with ya'll so," she paused and just shrugged to complete her sentence. "You coming or not Raindrop?" she asked, looking up at Leia who was still in the tree.

| Leia was slightly annoyed at the nickname, but she jumped down, slowly falling. "I guess I don't have a choice now Laurel." She mumbled but landed onto solid ground anyways. "So where are we going?" The Oshawott asked the duo.
Harmonica looked at the trio, they seemed to be working together at least. The Gardevoir relaxed a bit, before answering, "Well I guess we can wander around a bit, we have to get somewhat stronger if you want to defeat the darkness." She calmly told the trio. The three would most likely rebound and bite at her words, asking her since when would she be leader, but she has gotten used to it and already planned what to do in case of the likely event if that happened.

| "I say we do that unless someone has a better plan..."Rave mumbled, he didn't really have a plan, well a good plan. He would have been all for running straight at Arceus and going to kick it's butt, he highly doubted the others would agree though. He scratched at the ground in what looked like boredom but was actually nervousness. Like any pokemon would be, he was a bit scared. He had confidence that they could do it, but a small voice in the back of his head whispered, Give up, you can't do it. Nobody can beat the darkness. Not even the other legends could resist it. What makes you think you can? | |

| Laurel could see the annoyance at the nickname but shrugged it off. Oshawott was a naturally water type Pokemon so there was nothing to offend anyone within it. The Snivy then looked to the Gardevoir. She didn't say anything in reply, but didn't particularly care. Ever since she had killed that Hoppip with her Ice Beam, she had been wandering through towns and villages without a care in the world, why should that change now she had to wander with a few other Pokemon. | |

| Leia sighed, but continued to walk slowly. Nothing was in her anymore. Anyways they all probably hated her but she had little contact with any Pokemon in a decent time. The Oshawott's nose turned yellow and crackled for a second, but it didn't hurt her and she didn't notice.
Harmonica nodded. Even though they were on thin ice with each other, it was much better than no ice at all. "So where do you suppose we start?" She asked the three Pokemon, not sure if she would get an answer or not.

| "Maybe we should start trying to find a legend. They of all pokemon should know where Arceus is." Rave suggested. He fluffed his feathers, getting rid of the ashamed feeling he had. He looked to the trio before him and said, "If we do that we'll have to be careful though, since this whatever it is that's thrown Arceus for a loop might have effected others." He waited for answers as his feet scratched the ground a bit. | |
