(Adopted by Lord E V) Skylar the Eevee~

Skylar grew up with a normal life, living with her 3 brothers, 2 Eevees that were twins and a Riolu, and her mother and father, a Vaporeon and a Lucario, living in Rainfront Town. Her brothers were wild and mischievous, while Skylar was taught that girls were to be graceful and quiet, and Sky followed those “rules”. Ever since she was little, her mother being a Water-type and a beach was nearby, the Vaporeon took her daughter for visits there daily, often chatting with other villagers while the Eevee drew in the sand with a stick in her mouth or watched the waves calmly wash up onto the shore. Occasionally she and her mother would search for seashells, having a wonderful time.

As Skylar and her brothers grew up splendidly, they continued their trips to the beach, but her mother trusted them to be on their own. Her father was much too busy training to come watch and her mother was now busy working with house chores. Sky continued to watch the waves while her brothers taught themselves how to swim, although still being very bad. The waves were usually calm, though, so nobody drowned. Skylar learned to love the peace the waves brought, the breezy wind that blew gently in her face, and the faint laughter of her brothers not too far off. Although the youngest, she was still protective of them, and watched from afar, enjoying herself and keeping them safe. When it rained, the boys like to stay in the water and be washed onto the shore laughing while Skylar kept herself dry and every once in a while would join the boys.

One fateful day, as the brothers were now racing to see who could get the farthest in the water while Skylar now read underneath a shady tree, glancing up at them every so often, it began to sprinkle. Sky did not notice because she was sucked into the story of her book and forgot to check on the boys. She did not notice the rain getting stronger and becoming a storm, but she did notice the piercing screams of her brothers. When she looked up, she saw it was pouring and it was now a ferocious storm, and the waves were getting harder and harder, bigger and bigger. The beach was now empty of residents, most, if not all, gone to stay dry.

She couldn’t see her brothers though. All she could make out was three blobs, two brown ones and one dark blue one, flailing about frantically. Skylar put the book down hurriedly, and she ran to the waves. She screamed for their names, and one of them yelled back, obviously scared, “Help!!!!!” and that was all it took for Skylar to jump in and swim as fast as possible to her brothers. She arrived to their location in no time at all and told her brothers calmly but quickly to grab onto her tail, and she would paddle them all back. The three immediately clung to her tail, hanging on for dear life, and Skylar paddled back to the shore. Some of the residents had come over to see what was wrong, and panicked when they saw the children of Maria, Skylar’s mother. But then they saw all four of them collapse onto the shore, soaking wet but okay.

That was when Skylar discovered the amazing, lifesaving thing called rescuing. She, although felt totally panicked, was relieved and proud to have saved her brother’s and wanted to do it again – to help others. A bit after returning home and many hugs (her brothers also promised never to blame anything on her again) and a discussion on safety, Skylar heard of the guild in the nearby town of Grassveil and learned that, in order to save others, she must form a Rescue Team and take on jobs with her partner. Upon hearing of this, she begged her parents to let her go on her own and form a rescue team. After another long talk, sometimes one of their brothers piping in to say something nice about Sky and why she should go(all they could say lately was thank you’s and good things about her), the Vaporeon and the Lucario agreed to let the small Eevee go.

That is where she is headed today. . .
