As Venwith was blasted with a wave of ESP power Charles was sent flying gliding in an arch to land right inbetween the automation and Alice. Venwith picked himself off from the wall he had crashed into Charles didn't even register on his eyes as he faced his palms towards Alice. " things are about to get hot in here!" He yelled as tiny circle parts slide back into his body and spouts shot out he jerked his thumbs back and orange red flames spewed out.
Charles crossed his arms as he crashed into the ground the same instant the flames reached him he was engulfed in orange and red.
" Ha! The fool he'll melt in Ven's flames." Widow commented as she put herself back on her spider legs.
" WHAT?!" The fire man screamed at widow. " Charles is in the fire?! That's not-"
He was cut off by a very long and wide broad sword that swipe threw the flames smacking him to the side. " why thank you for the blow dry." Charles commented from his knee down a ten foot long and three feet wide broad sword sprouted. It really could hardly be called a sword with how blunt of an edge it had it might as well have been a club.

Widow climbed over to Venwith and started to pick him off the ground. her bottom lip quivering as she whispered his name.

" Well the need arose." Donnie replied. His steps were light which Charles found odd considering the situation most people would step heavily and with purpose but Donnie's step were like he was just walking to the store to get milk. He picked up the note with his hand that was out of the coat he read it quickly. " hmm, they're at the warehouse on the far side of town." Donnie informed the all.Charles looked to Alice for confirmation.

"Yep, although I'm not sure for how much longer. They may be faking it, but it feels like they're preparing to move." Alice commented.

" We'd better hurry then." Charles commented, Donnie took that as a sign to get moving as he started to lead at a pretty fast pace the group was off, and as they did Charles thoughts didn't leave the light steps of Donnie.
The group arrived at the scene very quickly the warehouse was very generic Charles found it surprising how cliche these guys were. "I'm getting that fishy feeling again." He told the others.
"You can tell by the breeze the place they want to fight is under the base." Donnie commented.
Charles blinked he didn't feel any breeze. He sighed, Donnie's in THAT mode again. he deduced. Charles swore when Donnie got into this mood his sense were more hightened than most Esper's.
As Charles thought this the large double ceiling high doors swung open and a girl stood in the door way. She bowed as a greeting which was a strange gesture to the two european folk.

Alice wasn't phased by the bowing girl. She came from no particular culture, nor did she claim to be from one. If asked why this was, she would simply reply that trying to keep track of cultural issues would be just too time-consuming and not worth the effort. "I assume you were sent to greet us." she observed flatly.

She shifted from one foot to the other in a nervous manner, she looked familiar to Charles but that was impossible she was probably around the age of seven or eight and Charles didn't know any kids. " Shu said I had too." She replied to Alice looking away.
" Is Shu our friend in the yellow robes?" Charles asked as kindly and politely as he could. The girl was no threat to them and certainly didn't seem like she would be doing anything besides leading them into a trap or something of the sort but Donnie Charles and Alice all had experiences like that before. She nodded and then stepped to the right of the door way the men filed in. The warehouse was nothing more then a very dark room with shatter glasses and empty crates inside, but then again no one had been expecting much.

Alice, observing that it was dark enough within the warehouse to warrent removing her glasses, gently grabbed the left lense of her glasses with her thumb and forefinger and slowly inched them down her nose as she took her first few steps in. As she did, she could see the entire room as if it were lit up like a room in a house might be. From what she could tell, there were no mechanical traps or various hazards in the space before her, but she wasn't about to let her gaurd down so easily. Alice then descretely motioned to Charles that she had seen no evidence of hazards in their way as of then. She decided to not push her glasses back up just yet, but she kept a grip on them just in case she had to put them back into place in a hurry.

The girl shuffled in behind them averting her eyes to the ground and the groups feet. " Shu told me to bring you all to him." She said in a very scared and squeaky voice.
" Don't worry sweetie we won't hurt you." Charles promised kneeling down to be eye level with the young guide there was still something strikingly familiar about her but he still couldn't figure it out so he let it pass.
She nodded and moved forward on knobby knees she kneels down by a place on the floor and produced a brass keep from the long sleeves of her asian style dress. A keyhole like the one Charles had used when he and Alice had entered the interface was revealed as she shifted some scrap and useless materials out of the way.
" Told you." Donnie grunted as the way Charles decided would indeed lead under ground .

Alice remained silent and just walked slowly forward. She looked confident, yet at the same time reserved and attentive. Alice kept very close tabs on everything; it was in her nature to do so.

Suddenly, she paused mid-step. She appeared to have been alerted by some noise that only she could hear; as the warehouse was almost eerily silent at the time of her being alerted.

She closed her eyes slowly and tilted her head back a bit without attempting to even look for a possible source of the noise. It appeared as though this was a natural occurrence for her.

"The prisoners from beyond the Fifth Gate... They speak to me again." a statue-like Alice commented calmly and smoothly, as though she were at some form of peace. A long chain made out of energy (invisible to mortals) suddenly appeared; wrapped loosely around Alice. She held her position, listening intently to what sounded like nothing to those around her.

And then, just as suddenly as it had happened, Alice was suddenly back to normal; glasses at hand and a few steps closer than she had been before. She seemed completely unphased, as if the situation before had never even happened.

Donnie looked confused he glanced at Charles but he shrugged he'd never seen Alice like this. To be frank it was worrying him but there was no time to think about that. The floor of the warehouse made grinding and clanking sounds like Charles morphing and before they knew it a slick set of brass stairs were leading down the to underneath the ware house.
"Do I have to walk first?" The girl asked she looked to Alice as though she were silently decided the leader of the group

Alice looked at the little kid. Again, children weren't exactly her favorite thing in the whole wide world. She usually scared them off before she could approach them anyway. The fact that this one was showing her at least half-proper respect, however, was scoring some points.

"Do you have reservations about going on ahead?" Alice questioned the girl calmly. Her face looked like stone. "It's usually customary that the hosts of a house show their guests around; especially during a first visit. Is that not correct?" Alice asked. She could feel a tingling sensation running up and down her spine in waves; a familiar first signal to her that things were about to start happening. Usually dangerous things.

"If you're going to run, you better do it quickly. Better you get out of here fast rather than waste my precious time. I only have some-odd thousand years left." Alice commented flatly and somewhat coldly; waiting for the child to make her choice.

" Shu said I shouldn't leave." She looked down at her hands as she pushed her index fingers together. Her lip quivered just a tad bit, Charles sighed, he took the first step himself, " Hosts are normally of age also Alice." He informed her As Charles took the lead the steps clanked loudly against the bronze, probably would help if I didn't weigh a ton. Charles also noted. Eventually the group came to a room a ways under ground.
" Holy hell it's like they took a slice of land up top and brought it down here. " Donnie whistled before them was a mild jungle gone only a tad bit out of control not too much, it wasn't thick enough to restrict movement but it wasn't thinned out either, there was a large pond coming out from the wall that fed in a tiny water fall into it.

Alice shrugged, her hand moving upwards to re-adjust her glasses. Her light steps made a very low amount of noise; especially when compared to her partner's. It made no difference though; in fact that was part of the whole reason they were partners in the first place.

"Hmm..." Alice observed softly as she looked around at the place. She didnt appear even a quarter as interested or impressed by the place as Charles and Donnie were; in fact, she looked quite the opposite.

"Mmm... I've seen- and destroyed -nicer; back in the day when I still visited home from time to time. Ahh, the East Side Pavillion..." Alice reminisced, closing her eyes for a few moments. Closing her eyes helped heighten her senses even further, which allowed her to pick up on some nearby presences even more precisely. "...Eww. I sense rats." she scoffed calmly, although there was a certain undertone to her words (that an observant person could probably pick up on) that made it fairly obvious she wasn't referring to the rodent creatures.

" Welcome Donavan, Sharles and miss Esper to the jungle." The sharp and Asian sounding voice filter in over what sounded like a PA system. Charles looked mystified by sound of the man's voice once more fill the room, he tensed and looked to Donnie who had also seemed to jumped slightly but quickly regained composure as Charles had turned to look at him Alice did not seem to be effected she probably could sense them at some capacity with her powers. Charles constantly wondered what it would feel like to sense the life force and brain waves of everyone within a reasonable proximity.

But now was not the place " We are waiting for you, by the tranquil pond for negotiations." He said on in his annoying chipper manner.
