Mordred smiled, walking into the lush forest. It was surprisingly quiet here, seeing as though a lot of missions are usually located in this very forest. The Scraggy continued to walk, finally stopping in front of a large tree. He grinned, "Perfect. Big enough for me to be out of reach from random pokemon." He mumbled to himself.

It didn't take long for the Scraggy to reach a nice, stable branch that was comfortable enough for him to stay on. Reaching behind his head, he got his precious Watmel berry from his hood, which had been dangling from his shoulders during his short walk. An obvious look of joy was on his face as he took the time to enjoy the moment of peace he had before his little snack. He raised the berry, preparing to take a big bite when the leaves on the branch above him suddenly shook wildly. The Scraggy immediately flinched at the sudden noise.

His grip reacted with his shock, causing his precious berry to tumble into the bushes below. His eyes widened, looking from the bush below to the branch above. On said branch was what seemed to be a Pidgey, who was shaking the leaves in attempts of making an improvised nest to rest on. Mordred growled, glaring daggers at the Pidgey who paid no heed to his anger. 'Great. Now I have to climb back down...' The Scraggy huffed.

Mordred stopped, turning back to where the Munchlax was. "It's just a stick. Pidgey was probably going to make a nest. Might wanna pick it up, though. It might come in handy." He said before continuing further down the path. He saw another item not too far and walked over to pick it up.

And right when the Scraggy was picking the item up, a wild duo jumped out from the bushes.

Out of the bushes an angered Caterpie and an irritated Sunkern. The Caterpie begun attack by firing a string shot at Mordred

"Gah! Not more wild pokemon!" After he composed himself, Lax stood still, using his curse attack before attempting a tackle against the Sunkern

Mordred became slow, unable to move from his place until after the Caterpie used a tackle on him, sending his unmoving bod backwards. He got up, finally breaking free from his binds. He glared, trudging up and using Low Kick, albeit a bit slower. Nonetheless, the attack hit, causing a considerable amount of damage to the Caterpie.

The Sunkern got hit a bit hard thanks to the Curse, but got back up, and then sent a green energy towards lax, an absorb.

"Oh no! Cmon... metronome!" The blue aura returned and then leaves started to be whipped around him, before being sent in a storm towards the absorb, clashing with it and beating the absorb, but the sunkern dodged it "Damn.."

The Caterpie used String Shot again, causing Mordred to (humorously) slip and fall on his face. The Scraggy growled, staggering back up, only to be met with the Caterpie's tackle. Mordred struggled due to his weakened speed, using Leer to lower the Caterpie's defense. If he couldn't get enough chances, then why not end it all with one blow?

The Caterpie shook it off, using another Tackle, lowering Mordred's HP little by little.

"Mordred... just hang in there.." He looked over to the battered scraggy, and the sunkern took advantage of this by pulling off a mega drain, it hit Lax hard since he was distracted. He slumped to the ground, quite a bit of his energy drained.

He stumbled back up and tried a tackle, missing and running into a tree, knocking an item down

Mordred growled, standing up and raising his fist at the Caterpie. He had enough. With a fury-induced Ice Punch, he sent the annoying String-spitting pokemon to a tree.

The Caterpie shook its head, using another String Shot. Mordred was able to dodge the attack by the skin of his head, lunging at the Caterpie, The Bug Pokemon used Tackle, able to hit the Scraggy by the chest but got a Low Kick to the ground in return.

Lax looked to the feisty Scraggy from the ground, he followed his example by not giving up. The Munchlax jumped to his feet and used another curse, and charged forward smacking into the sunkern and toppling it to the ground.

The agitated foe rose up again and tried an absorb, luckily Lax dodged it quickly enough and launched a metronome attack, he threw sand at both the Sunkern and Caterpie.

After a few more beat-downs, the Caterpie finally fainted after one last Low Kick. Mordred panted, quite tired. The Caterpie was quite a few levels surpassing him, which explained the rather difficult battle. Of course, Mordred still couldn't believe that a CATERPIE could pack such a punch.

Mordred turned around, seeing the Sunkern and Lax still fighting it out. "Lax, need any help?" He said, picking up the Oran berry that he wasn't able to pick up because of the pesky duo. "I got an Oran berry here if you need it!"

"Im okay! Im.. almost done here!" He shouted over to his companion as he delivered the last tackle, knocking out the Sunkern.

"Phew... that was tough" He noticed the item that dropped earlier "Oh.. another Pecha berry" He frowned, it seemed all they were finding were Pecha berries, he picked it up and placed it in his fur "Well... I guess this IS Pecha forest haha"

Mordred smiled, walking over. He raised a brow, "Well, good work. Now tell me, how did you do that?!" he said, poking curiously at then Munchlax's fur. He took a step back after a few minutes, seeing his rather odd behavior. He frowned in embarrassment. "Uh, sorry about that. But seriously, I've never seen a pokemon keep items in their FUR. I've seen on skin like most other Scraggys and Scraftys like me since we have loose skin, but never fur..."

The Scraggy shook his head. "Probably a Munchlax-Snorlax thing... let's keep moving." He said, walking beside his partner instead of ahead. (For once)

"Hahah okay, well its just because I have a lot of fur, munchlaxs aren't as chubby as people think" He chortled walking beside Mordred "But I do wonder if I can still do that if I become a Snorlax... I'm not even sure if I want to become a Snorlax"
Lax laughed lightly "Anyway whats with your skin, its... so weird, it looks like you're wearing clothes"

Mordred looked at his baggy 'shed pants' as he likes to call them. "Well, these are actually the skin we first shed when we hatch. Layer by layer, we lose our first 'protective' skin and grow back better skin that can protect us from our environment. The skin we shed kinda end up merging into one and then...yeah, Scraggy pants. " He tugged at his hood. "And when we turn into Scraftys we kinda shed our heads and make our own hoods. Weird, huh?" He chuckled. 'Wow, that sounded kinda gross.'

"Eww that's gr-" A certain berry caught his eye "A Watamel! Look we finally found one!" He laughed and ran over to it, although he was a tiny bit unhappy that their adventure was over "Looks like we finally found it" He smiled at Mordred, happy that he found it and even happy that Lax took the berry in the first place

Mordred grinned. His grin looked a bit painful, but pure joy was emitting from it. With a sudden hop to his step, he did a little victory dance. "YES YES YES YES A WATMEL BERRY WE FINALLY FOUND IT AFTER ALL THIS-" He stopped, a red hue appearing on his face. "Uh. Yeah, you didn't see anything." He coughed, embarrassed.

He walked over, grabbing the Watmel berry and putting it in his hood. He then trudged over to Lax, extending his paw.

"Thanks. Thanks a lot! That was... an interesting adventure. Thank you." He smiled.
