You enter the arena. Stones, pillars, and even primitive weapons lay scattered about the floor in a chaotic mess of what was once a great battlefield. Torches light up the arena, though you're not quite sure what exactly is keeping them lit. It looks as if this place was abandoned long ago. You can see the footprints in the sandy ground of previous challengers from potentially centuries ago-but what you do notice is that one set of prints prevails above the rest.

You head to the center of the arena, working your way through the rubble, rock, and bone. As you do, you survey the surrounding seating. It looks as if they could fit thousands of pokemon in just this one room-yet you know this place is far larger than it looks. Various statues adorn the edge of the great walls that put you in the fighter's pit. Powerful pokemon stand in various poses, relishing whatever victory that granted them their pedestal.

The moment you reach the center, a long ominous howl echoes throughout cavern. Your eyes are attracted to the one of the statues that sat atop a podium just an inch taller than the rest. It's only now that you notice that the emerald eyes of an armored lycanroc stare directly at you.

"Only the worthy may compete for my prize. Those who are not warriors at heart, please step out of my arena."

Should you and your friends leave...well, then what are you doing here? She will turn and depart herself.

Should any of you remain, she speaks, "I am Achillia, distributor of one of the sacred treasures. Prove to me your strength and skill, only then will you receive your reward. Now, let us begin!"

Boss Achillia would like to battle!

Rules


  1. Achillia's levels scales with yours, you're free to make her as powerful as you want in your threads but it should not be a cakewalk for your characters no matter what.

  2. You are free to make Achillia's moveset whatever you please so long as a Lycanroc Dusk can learn it. The only consistency is that Achillia will always be equipped with Stone Edge and a Lycanium Z for access to Splintered Stormshards and Dynamax capabilities.

  3. Achillia has 15 HP, she cannot be defeated until you deplete all of it. Every time you begin a new page, one member rolls the damage dice. ([roll="Damage"][/ roll], remember to take out the space) the number rolled determines how much damage you do.

  4. Once you've knocked out Achillia, you may roll [roll="Achillia"][/ roll] to claim your reward. Each member may roll Achillia' reward pool once. Trawl orbs and so on have no effect here.

  5. You may not canonically kill Achillia, if she is in danger of perishing, allow her to flee. This doesn't mean your character is required to release her without a fight, it just means she has a 100% chance to get away no matter what your character does. Achillia will also never intentionally kill or fatally wound another character or NPC. Once you're down, she'll leave your character alone.

  6. A normal thread with the boss will involve mostly just you fighting the boss. Speech, actions beyond fighting, and so on from the boss are kept to a minimal amount as the thread is completely focused on combat. If you wish to interact/fight with Achillia on a deeper level, you can contact @kat or another staffer to roleplay as the boss. Note that this may result in slower threads, but more may come out of it in terms of interaction since you can do more than only fight.

  7. Rules may be subject to change as time goes on. Be sure to check back for edits and alterations before you begin a new thread.
