| First topic message reminder :
It was a nice house. It really was. It was big, but not too spacious. Each room had its defining feature, such as a stove for the kitchen, a fire place for the living room, and doors into everyone's rooms. The wooden flooring didn't have some annoying creak, the walls looked sturdy and none of the windows were shattered or broken. It was a nice pleasant little house in the suburbs of Grassveil, if you could call it a suburb given that Grassveil was a small yet busy town.
She woke up in the mornings on a comfortable bed, had access to food to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner with, and had all the time in the world to spend with...kids who weren't really all that interested in sticking around it seemed. Chance liked to wander off, resulting her needing to chase him down if he didn't come back at a certain time, and Emmelyn either was dragged off with him or at the library.
Which meant Mirage was left home. Alone. To do...well, that question bothered her every day for the past two weeks. At first she waited for Sova. After she told him about the kids, she kind of expected him to show up. As each day passed, however, she began to lose hope. Instead, it began to anger her. It started to feel like she was more of some pet waiting for their master to come home. After the first week, she decided that perhaps it wouldn't hurt to wander Grassveil a little. She kept up disguises, of course, but every time she went out she worried about Sova coming back to find nobody home. She couldn't bring herself to have the courage to speak to any pokemon either.
What was the point of it? She was just going to be someone else tomorrow. There would be trouble if she tried to establish an identity. She'd have to upkeep it, maintain it, and if the disguise ever broke, she's done for, Sova's done for, and even the kids. She had no choice but to resign herself to the house and...do nothing. What could she even do? She was a wanted outlaw who didn't do outlaw-y things anymore. She was a fugitive who had no choice but to stay in the same bland empty looking house she didn't really know how to go about decorating.
In a way, it felt almost like a prison to her. A prison that held the door open, but every time she left it was a roll of the dice whether she'd be thrown into an even worse one. It was demeaning.
At the very least, each day brightened up a little when the kids came home. Emmelyn would have something new she learned while Chance would have some wild tale of adventure to tell everyone. It was nice to hear from them, but whenever they asked her about the world and what to do...she was lost. She gave the best answer she could, but she knew it wasn't enough. She didn't know anything about the world. Everything she did know was a lie, that was made very apparent to her.
Now, she was stuck with two kids at dinner on a Friday night pretending everything was absolutely okay. | |

| Es...? Mirage couldn't help but notice the sudden pause. The expression on "Sova" seemed...strange. The glaceon then piped up with a different name. Lu? That wasn't what she started with. Mirage's ears pinned back as she couldn't help but give the glaceon a strange look. Was...was "Lu" lying to her about the name? Why would they lie...did they have something to hide? The zoroark's eyes narrowed in suspicion. She took in a breath to say something, but the sound of voices back in the main rooms caught her attention. An ear twisted as she looked over her shoulder. Why...did that sound like Chance and Emmelyn? Shit."Uh...We'll have to continue this later. I need to go make sure the gremlin isn't harassing...uh...Zeal." She had no idea how Chance could have sneaked past both her and "Lu" in the hallway, but she wouldn't doubt that the zorua had some tricks up his sleeve. It was a nightmare to keep track of that kid. "Room's over there but uh..." she paused before she'd turn to leave, "You gonna be okay?" ---- His victim squirmed beneath him. The zorua puffed his chest out with pride. He ignored his sister's cries. She didn't understand...her chair wasn't sat on and if it was, then he'd take it upon himself to be upset for her. Simple as that. Chance looked down at the eevee as they turned just enough to face him. At first he thought the eevee was going to attack, but then it...yawned? He could practically smell the eevee's breath. A paw held over his nose out of disgust, "Eww you smell...like...beeerrrriiiees?" His head began to feel light. He held out his paw in front of him to observe it for a brief second as his eyes became heavy. "Whhaaaaa...?" he commented before he'd flop over onto the floorboards with a light "thump!" Before he even hit the floor, he was out like a light. He laid on his back with his tongue out, completely asleep with a light snore to him. - This dice is not existing.

| It wasn't hard to perceive the zoroark's suspicion, considering the minimal effort she seemed to be putting into hiding it. The glaceon feared she was about to be interrogated, but fortune had mercy on her as voices sounded out from down the hall. The aforementioned kids, presumably? She wanted to go see what was oing on as well, but it had already been made clear that she was... less-than-welcome. At the very least, the zoroark had the courtesy to ask if she would be okay, which was better than nothing. "Oh, I'll be fine. You go ahead and handle that," she spoke with a dismissive wave of her good paw before getting up and turning to walk away as instructed. In truth, she was not feeling okay at all. She only had a vague idea of where she was based on context clues and it was being made abundantly clear that she was unwelcome, not only in this house but... in general. She apparently had to make up a name to go by, wasn't allowed to even see Sova's kids, and she was drunk and in pain. She didn't even understand why she was in so much pain; it seemed like her every movement made it worse, and the visible injuries certainly didn't account for all of it. So, on top of everthing else, she had to suffer for mystery reasons! -------- Zeal waited patiently with a dull and unamused expression as the zorua grew drowsy, then collapsed on the floor beside him. He calmly got up and brushed himself off, seeming unfazed by the assault and... whatever the zorua was trying to prove. "Chance!" Emmelyn gasped as she watched the zorua suddenly collapse. "What'd you do??" she questioned frantically, more concerned than mad since... well, he was kind of asking for it. Still, that was her brother and she wanted to make sure he was okay! She ran to his side to make sure he wasn't dead or anything; he was... definitely still breathing... ...And then he started snoring. "I just put him to sleep," Zeal responded, "I didn't hurt him..." It was true, he didn't want to fight anyone. However, he also wasn't going to take abuse from some punk kid over a chair. (r u redy 2 c my luck powers) - This dice is not existing.

| ...The answer was good enough for Mirage, for now at least. She was going to have to talk with the glaceon more later on, but right now it seemed as if something was up in the living room. She couldn't help a glance to the ice type as they made their leave before she hurried back quickly and quietly. The sight she was met with was...one that made her wonder why she didn't expect this to happen.
"I thought I told you two to stay in your room." her voice sounded out from the hall with a growl as soon as she spied the two little pests. How did they even make it past the door without alerting her, Lu, or Sova? Did they sneak past while Lu switched in? Is that how this worked??? A pain throbbed in the side of her head. Her paw lifted to apply pressure to it, a frustrated sigh went along with her feeble attempts to relieve the sprouting headache.
What the hell was she going to do with these two? Hell-Chance had even fallen asleep in the middle of the floor it seemed! Her gaze flicked from Zeal over to Emmelyn, where it centered in on the significantly smaller pokemon.
She waited for an explanation. | |

| The glaceon tried to hold herself together at least long enough to get out of sight of the zoroark. As soon as she was, she yanked the hood down from over her head. "Tacky..." she muttered bitterly, looking over herself once more. This cloak was such a cry for attention, and she would have taken it off if not for the fact that Sova was filthy and scarred and that was no way to present himself to his children for the first time. He clearly needed help. First thing she needed to do: find some water, and clean up properly. Then she needed to figure out a way to sober up some... Sova needed to be clean and lucid, for the children if nothing else! -------- Emmelyn froze in panic at the sound of her mother's voice. Then, when Mirage looked to her, she immediately pointed a paw at the sleeping zorua. "I-it was his idea!" she blurted out, shamelessly selling out her brother without a second thought just as she'd threatened to earlier. "A-and then he got into a fight with this guy and got knocked out and I didn't have anything to do with it pleasedon'tgroundmeI'msorry," she continued, shrinking away as her ears flattened in fear. Zeal wasn't too worried until that last bit, at which point his own ears perked up and he frantically looked between the other eevee and the zoroark. "No what- wait no no I just put him to sleep!" he frantically spoke in correction, wanting to clarify that he had not hurt the zorua, let alone "knocked him out." | |

| Immediately, paws were pointed. She didn't know whether it was concerning that Emmelyn was so quick to sell others out or to be thankful since she could rely on the eevee for busting her brother. The zoroark's critical eye looked between the two eevees before it rested on the much larger darker furball that was sound asleep. Yeah, that was definitely him sleeping.
The growl in her throat grumbled again before she spoke, "I don't care who's idea it was," she stepped forward as she spoke, "It doesn't change the fact that you're out here, actively participating." She picked up the zorua, a little carelessly by the scruff with her hand but it got the job done. Why did things have to go so wrong? Why did her life have to be so wrong?
"Go back to your room and stay there, I'll have to get back to you on exactly how grounded the two of you are when i've sorted things out. Kid, wait here, I'll be back." She intended to carry Chance along with her to the bedroom, eager to put the children back into their little den so she can have a bit more control over what the actual hell was going on. She needed to figure out what to do with the new kid and last thing he probably needed was these two bothering him. Yeah they seemed to have gotten him out of the bag, but apparently Chance needed to be put to sleep. She couldn't just let Emmelyn off the hook either just because she was friendly with Zeal...
She also didn't really want them to see Sova when he was...not him? Not right now. Lu seemed pleasant, but she would prefer to have the kids meet Sova first. Then they can figure out how to explain this mess to them...maybe...would they even understand? Either way, they had a greater risk of meeting their not-dad walking about like this, so they needed to go. | |

| Emmelyn shrank even further into herself at the scolding. She had tried to tell Chance she didn't want to come, but he had a way of persuading her... and it wasn't like she hadn't been curious about what was going on. But! She wouldn't have done anything if not for Chance pressuring her and making her feel bad about not coming along. She wanted to say something and argue that she deserved to stay and meet the company at least more than Chance did, but she didn't dare speak out against her mother... and also the idea of talking to a stranger just made her anxious anyway. Sure, she wanted to be involved in the situation, but what involvement would she even have? Even if she were allowed to stay, she would just sit there in awkward silence. "O-okay..." came her quiet response as she followed along slowly with her head hung low. Zeal felt a bit bad. He didn't know anyone here, but he couldn't help but feel as if he was being a problem. No, actually, he obviously was. "Um, you don't have to on my account, Miss..." he spoke, not trying to put her in a position where the remaining conscious child would be able to use his words against the presumed mother. He just wanted to make it clear that she didn't have to go out of her way to get them away just for his sake. -------- Lu is busy doing nothing of substance what more do you want. | |

| "Don't worry about it," her voice grumbled dismissively to Zeal as she made off with her son and daughter in tow. She made her way into the bedroom and placed Chance onto his bed with a tight yet comfortable blanket-burrito. Her eyes trailed towards the open window. It didn't take much for her to put the pieces together that it might have played an integral part in their grand escape.
Without a moment of hesitation, she stacked Emmelyn's bookshelf on top of the dresser just beneath the window. A few books fell out, but she was quick to put them back into place...but not without handing one to Emmelyn to keep herself busy with. "If I don't find you in here next time I check in..." she paused as she contemplated what to say. Her first instinct was a death threat, but that wasn't all that acceptable for children. "Things will happen," she finished with the decision to let their imagination do the work for her.
She shut the door behind her with a bit of a slam to it, just to drive her point home that she was thoroughly unhappy with this behavior. She returned to the little eevee, still uncertain with what to o with him. "You tired?" she asked. Maybe, he responded. She fell into a silence as she tried to think of what to do. She felt as if she were suddenly being pulled every which way in one night. There were so many ways so many things could go wrong if she handled this improperly. "Is...there anything you want?" she asked in the hopes that the child would give her some sort of task to fill the time in with...so she could think of something instead of sitting here staring at him.
----
"Huuh? Wha?" Chance snorted awake, startled by the loud sound of the door. He was quick to find that his movement was limited. He struggled against his comfortable bonds as he looked about the room, "Wha happen?" he demanded, "Why am I back here???" His eyes focused on Emmelyn as soon as he saw her. He expected answers...especially as to why her bookcase was on top of his dresser! | |

| Emmelyn followed obediently back to her room, not wanting to incur the wrath of Mom like her brother seemed so insistent on constantly doing. She watched as Mom located their method of escape and proceeded to block it... with her bookshelf... She considered asking how she was supposed to get to her books now, but decided being a coward seemed like a much more appealing option and opted to say nothing. Mom handed her a book to read, probably foreseeing this issue, but she really wasn't interested in rereading "How to make friends" after all the crying she had done over that book. She could just climb the shelf to get to her books... probably... and if not, she could get Chance to do it for her because this was his fault in the first place. She nodded fearfully in acknowledgment of Mom's threat, agreeing to stay in her room, and this time she fully intended to do so regardless of what Chance decided to do. It wasn't long at all after the zoroark left that the much smaller zorua was awoken; actually, he was disturbed by her leaving. He was confused, which wasn't exactly new for him, and he immediately started demanding answers. "You got knocked out then Mom caught us," she responded in an unamused tone as she approached the bookshelf and looked up at it. "Can you get me a book?" she requested without waiting for him to respond, figuring he kind of owed her now. Also, she was just accustomed to relying on him. -------- Zeal sat awkwardly on the floor and tried to occupy himself by looking around the rather bare decor of the house as he waited for... whatever was supposed to hapen next. He watched the zoroark walk off with what he gathered to be her kids, and he couldn't help but wonder if she was going to come back. Or Sova. This was clearly their home, so... surely he wasn't just going to be left here like this... right? Just as he began to have some very slight doubts, Ms. Zoroark returned. She immediately started asking him questions, starting with if he was tired. "Maybe," he admitted, directing his gaze toward the floor. She then asked if there was anything he wanted, and he fidgeted his front paws as he thought hard about this question. He wanted not to be a burden to this nice lady, but he felt like saying that would just make her feel bad. "N-no, I'm okay," he spoke, not knowing what else to say. | |

| Chance wiggled and squirmed until finally, like the masterful escape artist he was, he popped out of the blanket. He gave his whole body a shake to get rid of that weird uncomfortable feeling of his fur being rubbed the wrong way. The zorua's gaze snapped between the hidden window and the door. He could see a little crevice just behind the bookshelf, but it was far too small for him or Emmelyn to squeeze through.
He fell back into a sit with an annoyed "Hmmph..." He couldn't possibly get out now without alerting his mother. One wrong move and the whole bookcase could go tumbling down! He'd probably wake up the whole neighborhood. His ear twitched towards Emmelyn, though he did not directly look towards her just yet. Chance gave a thoughtful hum as he considered the eevee's request.
"Sure, but don't expect me to know which one's which," he huffed. Might as well, it's not like he had anything better to do. He approached his sister and looked up at it as well. A quick study of the gap, a wiggle of his hindquarters, and he was up and off. His claws scratched at the wooden shelves as he struggled to keep a grip on the smooth wood. The shelf and the dresser shook dangerously with his weight, but he was far too focused on looking through all the colorful labels.
Hmm...which one would Em like...maybe this bright purple one? It looked like the spine had a...pink winged rapidash on it. Girls liked that stuff, right? The zorua reached a paw out for the book, unable to completely pull himself up onto the shelf for a far safer trip. A claw touched the spine, but he couldn't remove it from the sandwiched position between more books. He edged himself along, his back paws barely stood on their tip toes of the dresser's drawer handle. It probably would have been a lot safer to look on the lowest shelf, but he had his sights set. Determined to get the pony-book, he stretched out as much as his body could take, a single claw just barely reaching the top of the book.
He dared to make a quick jump. His claw successfully hooked onto the spine of the book, but he failed to catch the ledge that he used to stand on. The zorua cried out as he began to fall, the book dragged down with him. He scrambled and clawed at the furniture, but failed to find any friction. He fell back onto the ground with a "THUD!" followed by the flapping of pages just seconds before the book fell open on top of his head.
"...Ow."
----
The kid didn't want anything. F u c k. If only there was some magic box she could just plop him in front of to keep him busy for hours while she went and talked with...Lu. She stared down at the kid with an uneven gaze, unsure of how to proceed with this. She took in a deep breath as she decided that perhaps she should just send this kid to bed as well then.
"Alright...Come on then, follow me." She turned back down the hallway with the expectation for the eevee to follow. Just as she passed the children's room, she heard a thunk. Her shoulders immediately sagged before she sounded a much more tired and annoyed tone through the wooden door, "You better not be trying anything in there!"
She left it at that. She gestured for the kid to follow, he definitely wasn't going to be sitting in the hellion pit...at least not tonight. She approached the bedroom where she'd instructed Lu to stay in. Without waiting, knocking, or hesitating, she opened the door with a few words to say, "Switching time. Eevee, in. Glaceon, out." | |

| Em sat quietly and watched as her silly brother freed himself from the bed and got to climbing the bookshelf, all with a struggle that really made it seem like an ordeal. The climbing part might have been, which was why she had asked him to do it for her in the first place, but he made everything look hard, even something as simple as getting out of bed. At least it was good for entertainment. She watched as the zorua climbed the shelf and searched for a book, and she couldn't help but wonder what he would pick out for her. Sure, she could have tried to direct him, but she felt like that would ruin his fun a bit and she was looking forward to the surprise anyway. It wasn't hard to tell what book he was going for. Emmelyn blushed a bit at the fact that She-Ra, Princess of Power was his first assumption for a book she would like... He wasn't wrong, but still, it was embarrassing. The book was a lot cooler and less stereotypically girly than the cover looked! Speaking of books, as the eevee watched her brother struggle to grab one, she couldn't help but think that a character in a book known for silly mishaps would probably... "Um, w-wait-" she started up with a warning to be careful, but she was too late. The zorua decided to jump like the idiot he was; and yes, he got the book, but he predictably caused himself to fall in the process. Emmy cringed from the sight, then heard the agitated voice of their mother from outside and cringed even more. She stayed like that for a moment, expecting some divine Momly retribution for making noise... but it didn't come. Once she was sure it wasn't coming, she rushed to Chance's side. "A-are you okay??" she spoke in a frantic whisper. The scene would have been funny if not for the threat of Mom and the risk that he could have actually gotten hurt. She liked to laugh at Chance for doing dumb things within reason, but she really didn't like seeing him hurt himself. -------- "You can do this."Lu stared into the mirror she had found, as if waiting for a response from her reflection. It was Sova she was looking at, by all means... but he wasn't here. She frowned, but a look of determination quickly replaced it. "You can't hide from this. It's your family! Do you really want me to meet your kids before you??" she continued, trying desperately to speak to Sova through the mirror. She had no idea if it was working, but she intended to keep trying until it did. "You're your own worst enemy, you know... You're not as bad as you think you are. Your girlfriend wants to see you... and I bet your kids would love you... and it doesn't matter if you're scared! They neeeeeed you," she continued, trying and trying to plead for Sova to come face his family since that was clearly what the zoroark wanted and what needed to happen. He wasn't coming out though... He was chickening out on spending time with his family, and properly meeting his kids for the first time! This was important!! "Sova, you're a father now! Stop being a drunk bum and-"Suddenly the door swung open. Lu jumped and yiped in surprise at the rather unexpected intervention of the zoroark's commanding voice. Eevee... in? She looked down at the zoroark's side to see an eevee, looking about as surprised and confused as she was. Did this happen to be one of their kids? And... had they been listening to her??? All she could think to do was stand there and stare, nervously. | |

| The voice of his mother on the other side of the door paralyzed him to the spot. He too waited for what he assumed to be the inevitable wrath of mom, but to his surprise, it didn't come. Chance released a breath he didn't even realize he'd been holding once he heard her footsteps walk away. He sat back up, book still balanced on his head like a strange sort of tent-hat. He could feel the bruises from the fall, but nothing was broken.
His attention diverted to his sister, who expressed obvious concern for his safety. Immediately, a smirk stretched across his expression, "Of course I'm fine!" Technically it was a lie considering the bruises, but to him it was pure fact. This was nothing, he'd had far worse falls before! Though he would have appreciated landing on his feet...or maybe just not falling at all.
He tilted his head forward so the book slid off and dropped onto the ground with a far lighter "thunk!" Some of the pages looked like they were crinkled, but nothing a good smoothing wouldn't fix. The book was opened a whole page filled with tiny words that made Chance's head hurt. Fortunately, there happened to be a picture for him to entertain himself with staring at of what appeared to be an Absol accompanied by a Torracat doing...something. They kind of just looked like they were staring at each other. Talking perhaps? In a matter of seconds, this was already boring. "There," he spoke with a paw pointed at the book, "Got you a book."
He wanted to go back to figuring out what that other eevee was all about. He stepped away from the book and carefully sneaked up to the door, as if there could of possibly been someone other than Em who could potentially see him. He reared up onto his hind legs and placed both of his fore-paws to the door. He contemplated opening it, but decided against it. Instead, he placed an ear to the door and tried to catch any bit of conversation he could.
----
Mirage was stunned into silence as she completely interrupted Lu...talking to herself in a mirror. Rather, she was talking to Sova. The zoroark honestly didn't hear much, considering she was far more focused on the task at hand, but she definitely heard the last sentence just as she opened the door. Was...was that how they communicated or something? Was "Sova" still there somewhere actively or...?
The glaceon stared back at her with what was probably a very uncomfortable eevee child on the sidelines. "Uh..." She started in attempt to try and kick her thoughts back on track, "C'mon...Zeal's going to stay in here for the night." Her hand still on the door, she waited for the two eevees to...well, switch places. It probably would have been a problem to have the kid sleep in her and Sova's bedroom, but it wasn't like she had any other bed prepared.
Even if she did sleep tonight, it's not like she wasn't a stranger to sleeping without a bed. | |

| Emmelyn shook her head at the reckless attitude of the zorua, but smiled. "Thanks," she responded and sat down to open the book up to where she had last left off in it. She watched Chance walk over to the door, obviously to try and eavesdrop, but she didn't intend to follow because she was done getting in trouble with him for the night. Besides, she knew she wouldn't want to miss much since he would want to tell her anything he heard that he thought was worth talking about. In fact, she was pretty sure she would be hearing about it whether she wanted to or not, so she wasn't at all worried about missing out on anything. Chance admittedly did have his uses... "Let me know if anything happens," she spoke without looking at the zorua as she laid down on the floor and flipped through the pages of her book. She doubted that she needed to ask, but it seemed more polite to. -------- Lu looked down at the eevee, then to the zoroark, then back to the eevee. She assumed that was Zeal, and... actually she still didn't know Sova's girlfriend's name, but at least they had been semi-properly introduced already. "Oh... okay," she nodded once she realized she was still being silent and staring at everyone, then she made her way out of the room. Zeal hesitantly stepped through the doorway as the glaceon exited. He turned around and stared questioningly at Ms. Zoroark, as if asking if this was really okay with her. If this wasn't the room their kids slept in, then it was either a spare room that happened to have a bed and everything else, or... hers. | |

| Chance shoved his ear against the door as much as he could. His attention was completely focused on trying to will the voices into earshot. Maybe if he thought had enough he could somehow influence them to come closer... "Let me know if anything happens," his sister interrupted his attempt to bend the fabric of space and time to give himself powers that didn't exist on a zorua.
"Shhh!" he hushed his sister urgently with a quick wave of his paw. He didn't pay her much attention any more than that has he continued his feeble attempts with every inch of his will.

The eevee looked up at her. She could only meet the eevee's questioning look with an uncertainty of her own. "Go on," she encouraged the eevee, "Try to get some rest or...relax...or something. Just don't touch anything but the bed." She instructed the little guy. She closed the door once the exchange was successfully complete. As much as she didn't like leaving the kid on his own, she needed to talk with the adult...s.
The glaceon was lead back into the kitchen, out of certain earshot of the childrens' bedrooms. Every movement was stiff and restrained. She hardly even realized it herself. Once they were in the kitchen, she sat herself down-as much as a zoroark really could sit as it was more of a squat with their body structure.
"Okay..." she exhaled sharply, "Square one...what's going on exactly?" | |

| Emmy rolled her eyes at the shushing she received and flipped a page in her book. Regardless of how stubborn he acted, Chance would tell her if he heard anything interesting... He wouldn't be able to resist. Besides, she wasn't expecting him to hear much in the first place, so she didn't have much interest in hanging over him and pestering for updates. She especially didn't want to be caught next to him up against the door if Mom happened to decide to come in and check on them... This time, if someone was getting in trouble, it would be just Chance. -------- Lu waved goodbye to the child as the door shut, not wanting to come off as rude to him or make him feel any more uncomfortable than he already did. With the way he acted and how the zoroark was treating him, she figured he wasn't one of their kids, so being told to sleep in this room probably wasn't the most comorting thing. Well, Lu knew it wasn't her place to question this, and she doubted anything could be done about it, so she instead silently followed along behind the zoroark. The biggest thing on her mind was her desire not to be more of a burden than she had to be; she wanted to force Sova to sober up some if possible, and then get him to come do the right thing and talk to his girlfriend who was clearly very distraught over his behavior. But first... it seemed the zoroark had questions. "Oh, well... Sova was scared of ruining... something... so I came to help," she responded, trying her best to explain with her limited understanding of the situation. Assuming she had done a good enough job that she wouldn't have to explain any further, and figuring she wouldn't be able to even if asked, she immediately began surveying the kitchen. "Do you have anything to eat? I'd like to... sober up some," she questioned, trying not to sound too needy. It was for a good cause! | |

| The zoroark's gaze lingered on the glaceon for a moment. She expected some long winded run down of anything and everything, but all she got was a short and vague answer followed by a request. At this rate, she was going to start developing gray hairs...and she wasn't anywhere near that age!
At the very least the request was reasonable. Sobering up would be helpful...maybe it'd get her a better explanation. She couldn't keep her shoulders from sagging a little, but she turned right around into the kitchen without another word. A collection of berries was gathered and offered up to the ice type...on the table. Where Sova should have been for the past two weeks-
She silently collected the scraps and bowls from the children and set them aside as she waited. She could probably have Chance and Emmelyn clean them later as punishment for their interference with tonight. How exactly they were supposed to without fingers? Well, that wasn't her problem. She'd just have to make sure Chance had the sense not to count licking the bowl clean as counting. The dinner for the glaceon wasn't exactly as meticulously prepared as the others had been, but it's not like the previous ones were all that great to begin with. She was far more used to eating the ingredients raw or just stealing them from local inns. | |
