» Natural Feats:
- Defeatist - When this pokemon's health starts to get low they starts losing confidence and their fear takes over: their attacks tend to be less sure and more glancing and don't do as much damage.
- Flightless - Archen is said to be the original ancestor of all bird pokemon, but by it's nature cannot fly, and instead is a skilled climber and very agile, known for hopping from tree to tree. They can execute flying moves and hover for a few seconds, slow their falls, or flap to gain height in their jumps but cannot sustain being air-born.

» Personality: At first Judaki tends to come off as shy, or withdrawn. He doesn't like drawing attention to himself, and avoids the spotlight as much as possible. One could suspect him of being an introvert even, almost always trying to busy himself with some study or task, and looking oddly out of place when he is forced to hover around with nothing to do, and he seems to avoid approaching others or starting conversations. A more keen eye will notice that he's almost always around others though, and while he doesn't mind being alone, especially when preoccupied by reading or a project, when given choice he would almost always prefer to be around others, just... in the background. He gets awkward when forced into direct contact, often hesitating or stuttering as he stumbles over his words, and he hates the spotlight, but he's always most comfortable when in the company of a few familiar faces.
In demeanor though, one will find Judaki to be soft-spoken but very polite and kind-spirited. A gentle soul, he's very empathetic to others, and always seeks to help whenever anyone is feeling down, in a bad mood, or simply requires assistance, thriving off of others around him being happy and well. In some ways he can be a little desperate to please and easy to manipulate, but he tries to keep to a moral code of good, off put even by the idea of fighting feral pokemon, never mind any sort of criminal activity.
Judaki is, true to his species nature though, a defeatist. Hesitant and nervous, he's an anxious fellow who will always fret about things, and while he's the first to offer a bit of optimism to someone else, to himself he is forever listing the 'what ifs' and worst case scenarios. And when something does go wrong, he's always the first to blame himself. In conflicts, this leads him to be timid and hesitant, and when pressure is applied directly to him he tends to cave, submissive to more intimidating personalities. The only thing that inspires him to act is another being threatened or in danger, and while he would never call himself bold, he is surprisingly swift to take a blow for someone else, though perhaps thats rooted in a feeling of personal inferiority...
» Likes:
- Reading: Reading has always been a peaceful activity to Judaki, something he can get lost in without too much effort. Not to mention books tend to be great sources of knowledge, or contain stories of fantastical adventures he can get lost in, both of which prove to be very enjoyable ways to pass the time that doesn't demand action from him
- Learning: Judaki is one of those sort who believe that one can never know enough about the world, and a naturally curious soul, he's always eager to learn more: about others, about how the world works, about nearly anything really. He's a fast learner and an attentive and eager student who loves gathering and sharing knowledge both.
- Helping: Even if it's just menial or monotonous tasks, Judaki does genuinely enjoy just helping people, often for nothing more then the act itself. Humble and simple, he doesn't brag or boast, and doesn't like asking for reward, and is happy simply to do whatever might be needed and lending a talon where it's wanted.
» Dislikes:
- Attention: Judaki doesn't like being the center of attention, he doesn't like being put in a position of leadership, and he doesn't like being assigned a role or spotlight of importance. The more he feels like people are looking at him, down on him, or even worse, up to him, the more he tends to panic and get awkward, feeling nervous with so much expectation and the weight of his own awkwardness and his potential blunders.
- Asking For Help: For as much as Judaki loves to help others, when it's his turn to ask for a hand, more often then not... he won't. It's not that he is stubborn and thinks he can handle everything himself, though that is what he tries to convince himself, and it's not necessarily just his social anxiety either, more just that he doesn't want to be a bother. He always feels like he deserves the worst and to struggle, and that if others help him, he's just being a burden on them.
- Himself: Maybe it's an issue of self-esteem. Maybe it's an issue of his siblings. Either way, Judaki is always keenly aware of his weaknesses, and just how useless he is. Flightless and timid, he isn't a proper flying pokemon, he doesn't have the courage to properly support his team, he's weak still and easily defeated, and he's so awkward he can't hold a conversation without stuttering. And he hates all of it, putting it all squarely on his own shoulders as a fault, deep and crippling.
» History: Born to a clutch of four, Judaki remembers images of his early youth. His father's wide wings spreading over him and his siblings. His mother's bright feathers. His brothers and sister around him, the two bigger ones always pushing and squabbling. One of his brothers was smaller though, and quieter. They could barely lift their head sometimes. And then father took them away when he didn't respond to their nudging.
Judaki didn't understand that they were the runt, or that they were meant to die. Sad and confused, for days he waited for his father to bring his brother back again. Eventually though, he realized it wasn't going to happen. Left as the smallest now of the trio, Judaki was quickly put at the bottom of the pecking order as his other siblings snapped up meals and left him with only scraps. Mother was always nice and tried to give him extra, but as soon as his sister noticed she began forcing him to give it over or else attacking him, and he was quick to learn to give it over without a peep of complaint. Quiet and submissive, he stayed out of his sibling's ways, often harassed endlessly or bitten and nipped at when he didn't, staying to the edge of the nest.
On the day his brother and sister made their first flights, Judaki and his siblings would be taken to Aileron Village and introduced to the town. Judaki would never fly that day, and he was helped by his mother who carried him there herself. His siblings mocked him for that too, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't manage to fly, and he was too scared to jump from the cliff like they had done. What if he just fell and broke his bones? His flightlessness would become a point of mockery and joke when they started living in Aileron instead, the majority of the village capable of flight and disdainful and mocking of those who were condemned to the ground but still tried to live on the floating islands anyways. A flightless bird was prime pickings, sneering pokemon joking about what was wrong with him and prodding at the archen's goofy looks and useless wings, and Judaki quickly found himself just trying to avoid trouble and staying quiet to avoid causing a problem. While his brother and sister found jobs and ventured into dungeons, bold adventurers, he did nothing except wander and distract himself with idle passing pursuits. There was no use for him, and though he tried to find a place, he kept failing.
When Judaki did meet someone who was pleasant enough to him while he was reading scrolls quietly in a store, and was approached in friendship, he was quick to respond. They quickly picked up on his eagerness to learn, having found books as an escape of his, and they offered him a guide to the library of the Windrose Scouts. Judaki was quick to try to find a new life for himself, and managing to leave behind what he had known, as he found a new family of sorts, he hoped to try to find a way to fit in and manage better here then he had before, or at the very least not be the burden he had been before.
