Class Signups

For Teachers
Step 1: Submit your Curriculum Application. Fill out the curriculum application form presented below and post it in this thread. Your curriculum will then enter review. Processing time MAY decrease if you notify the headmaster through Pm on the site, or by pinging the headmaster with an @ tag on the Discord server. Please do not spam. If the Headmaster has a concern, they will contact you privately.

Step 2: Look for the Signature. You will know your application has been approved when your class is assigned a merit point value in the appropriate section on your application and the following signature is placed below your text:

At the time that these elements appear you may continue to hold your class. Your merit point value may very after approval depending on how your attendance affects the difficulty of your thread.

Step 3: Make the Topic. Once your class is approved, it’s recommended that you make a topic for it as soon as a student responds with interest. Please remember the school’s topic title rule, which states that a topic title for a class should include the [*Major* Class] tag before the name for the class, so for example: “[Essential Skills Class] Field Trip Day!” Please also include the class name in the description of the topic if you do not put it in the title. For advertising purposes, it is recommended that you use the link to this thread so interested students can easily apply. Please confirm student’s acceptance in the your original post by adding them to the “Accepted Students” section of your application to keep this topic from getting too cluttered with applications and acceptance notices.

Step 4: Complete your Class. You’re on your way! Just keep an eye on your topic and keep the headmaster updated on when it’s closed/completed so that they can update it in the class record. Other than that, have fun!

Step 2: Find the Signature. Ensure that the following signature appears on the class you’re interested in:

Step 3: Quote the Class. To join a class once it has been approved, please quote the post with class you are interested in and post it with the Sign-up form (provided below) filled out beneath the quote. Do not join a class topic without posting here, and please ensure that the teacher has accepted you before joining.

Step 4: Join the Topic. Make sure to post in the class before it reaches a page so you don’t loose your place in it. A class may move on without you if you are not prompt to act, even if you have applied in this thread. After that, you’re on your way! (Please note that normal rules from the forum apply here as well, so if you join a class late into the first page, that page will not count towards your character’s level.)

NOTE: It is highly recommended that members of this IO join the Discord Server and toggle the "Academy" role onto themselves so that they receive live updates on new classes and Academy updates. You can do this by typing "?academy" into any general chat.
