» Natural Feats:
• Natural Born Glider: Using a cape-like membrane on his back Alro can glide long distances that mimic flying, with the disadvantage that he’s always losing altitude. While gliding he releases a constant stream of electrical energy that’s scattered into his general vicinity, shocking anyone who gets too close.
• Battery Cheeks: Arlo is able to generate and store surprising amounts of electricity in special pouches inside his cheeks. He can discharge this energy even while gliding shocking whatever he desires.
• Living BBQ: Alro is able to discharge pulses of electricity allowing him to essentially cook berries and small bugs.
• Motor Drive: Arlo can absorb any electric attack that hits him, and use the energy to boost his speed instead of taking damage.
» Personality:
Arlo has been described as quick on his feet, feisty, impatient, a bit hard headed, and prone to snap decisions (usually not good ones). He often acts without fully thinking through the potential consequences until afterwards which has left him in some tight spots in the past. But he’s loyal, clever, and will fight you if you hurt someone he cares about. He does have a deeply emotional side to him, one that he doesn’t make a show of too often; but if you ever see it you know he trusts you.
He's always excited to explore new places and show off what he's made of in fight, even if he loses; and often spends time relaxing while flying through the air in a "less than cautious fashion." He's never one to back down from a challenge and will accept any that come his way head on; regardless if he knows he'll lose just to show that he's tough enough to take it.
» Likes:
• Danger. Arlo had a rather boring upbringing, so he likes to seek out danger and excitement to fulfill what he feels he missed and satiate his desire for that perfect adrenaline rush.
• Thunderstorms. There’s no real place for electric types to feel at home; but a chaotic storm with lightning raining down from the sky is close enough.
• Being underestimated. Nothing's better in a fight than being looked down upon only to surprise your opponent with your power; the look on their face is always priceless.
» Dislikes:
• Underground. When you’re used to being able to climb a tree and take to the air whenever you want, being in a cramped underground hole with no easy access to the sky is… not comforting to say the least.
• The cold. Just no; cold winds seize up your arms and make it difficult to glide, not to mention small bodies don’t retain much body heat to begin with.
• Being ignored. Arlo does not tolerate being ignored if he’s trying to make a point, even going so far as to make a bit of a light show in rare cases.
» History:
In his youth Arlo was the second youngest in a family of eight. He was constantly outshone by his older siblings, and treated like he couldn’t handle himself by his parents if not outright ignored; which was fine for awhile but got real annoying quick. He soon started sneaking out with his older siblings and learning to fight until he felt confident enough in himself to pack up and leave. Danger and adrenaline were his drive. Once he had a taste of the true excitement of combat and life or death scenario when he flew a little too close to a Spearow’s nest one day and was attacked, nearly being knocked out of the sky multiple times and only barely avoiding braining himself on a branch he didn’t notice during the aerial combat, he couldn’t go back. That isn’t to say he didn’t enjoy long bouts of calm quiet time with friends, but he always had to return to the adventurous lifestyle he loved.
