A New Town with New Pokemon

As the town goes about it's normal, busy routine, an Igglybuff walks down the street, looking at the sheer number of Pokemon with wide eyes. There's a lot of them, and none of them seem to have noticed her. "Maybe I can go back to the pond," Alki whispered to herself, almost shrinking at the sight of so many Pokemon. But she couldn't go back to the pond, for a variety of reasons. For one, she was tired, and if she went back now she'd be travelling in the darkness, and she knew that wasn't safe. Second, she'd promised herself she'd come to the town to actually make something of herself, not scrounge around for food each day and simply survive, away from her home. Her parents hadn't come, they didn't care, so she'd have to live on her own, and she couldn't live at the Pond forever.

So Alki went forward, into the throng of busy Pokemon. Pushing forward was quite the task, especially considering how most of them were quite a bit larger than her, not to mention in a huge rush. What was the rush? There are a lo of stalls, most of them have food on them. She was hungry, and as she stares at the stalls and their owners, she considers stealing some food. It'd only be a bit! But where would she run to? It's not like she was especially fast or clever enough to get away. She walks away from the center and sits down, staring at her feet. Where was she supposed to go? There's so many people. Alki does her best to avoid making eye contact with any of the Pokemon, instead focusing on a barrel full of a large variety of Apples. She stepped forward, unsure if she should take one. "It'll only be one, it's not like anyone would miss it." She whispers to herself, picking one up, hoping nobody sees her. Nobody does, and she sits back down, away from the barrel, and begins to nibble on her apple.

A lone Kecleon was just wandering around the stalls, just browsing the stuff on display ignoring whatever stuff the owners were blabbing about. Nothing good out here except the price on the apples... totally worth a steal...

Yooka was about to grab a couple apples for the road but noticed an oddly round ball on the ground, a fairs distance away. She was about to give it a kick when she noticed it was actually a pokemon. Oh... Well... That would've looked bad, perhaps a little funny, but bad. "heheheh" getting behind it, yooka noticed it was nibbling away at an apple. Bending down to get pretty close, yooka gave it a soft poke from directly behind. "Enjoying the apple? Did you happen to buy that yourself? heheh, or did you nab one?" Yooka stood up, looking down on the little round ball. waiting for it to turn around.

Alki jumped as somebody poked her from behind. She jumped pretty high too, who was it? Why did they poke her? Did they notice she stole an apple? Oh no. She'd been caught! Her eyes grow wider as she turns to look at the Kecleon, her face becoming ever so slightly pale.

"I bought it!" She lied, saying these words perhaps a bit too loudly. She stared at the Kecleon, afraid. Alki didn't want to talk to anyone, and now this Kecleon was going to get her in trouble! Her lie wasn't convincing at all, she's not a good liar. Even she knew it. "N-no, I stole it..." She corrected herself, her eyes downcast. She'd been caught, no doubt about it, and now she'd get in trouble. "Sorry." Alki said, her voice trembling. "Don't tell anyone."

Hearing the igglybuff nearly crying sent Yooka on edge. especially since it admitted to taking the apple. "Oh, quiet. They were free anyway. well... the first one that is. I was just joking around." Picking up the iggly and putting it on her head, she walked back to the stall, grabbed another apple and handed it to the round pokemon. Whispering to the ball, "Here take another one" grabbing a second one for herself and tossing the amount towards the owner, Yooka started to walk off towards the center fountain. Taking a bite, "You seem to be alone, why are you alone? bad family? heh, My name's Yooka, and you could say I too had a bad family."

"Oh." She said, not resisting as the Kecleon, Yooka, put Alki on her head. Alki fidgeted, she didn't want to be on her head. She didn't want to be on anyone's head, she wanted to be alone. But, then again, she did grab her another apple. Alki gave a small, nervous laugh, nibbling on the second apple.

When Yooka mentioned family Alki fidgeted more. That wasn't any of her business! Even if she was kind of nice. Nothing good ever came from telling anyone her story. "I just like being alone," She said, staring at the ground. Yooka had been nice to her so far though. "I like coming here." She lied. Alki didn't even convince herself, she winced and fidgeted on Yooka's head. "I'm Alki!" She said, a bit too fast and a bit too loudly, she was too desperate to change the subject. "I'm sorry, I'm not good with other Pokemon." She adds, looking down at Yooka, embarrassed. What was she supposed to say? She had no clue and now Yooka probably though she was weird and would leave her like all the friends she thought she'd made at the pond. "Sorry." She said again, her voice trembling as she she hops off Yooka's head, bouncing a bit as she landed, and looks up at the Kecleon.

As the Iggly fidgeted around on her head when Yooka mentioned the word family, she couldnt help but giggle to herself. I mention her family and she starts to fidget. Looks like someone had a bad family indeed. the Iggly said a few things before wiggling some more. So... she likes being alone but she likes coming to a place thats crowded. she stuttered while saying coming here, so she doesnt mean it. oh this is getting interesting. Yooka smiled, especially when the little iggly said her name and mentioning she's not good with others. For being what you are, I wouldnt doubt that. For being here on your own explains your strength, but for being what you are, you must be tired. hmm... At some point the igglybuff said sorry, but yooka didnt notice when.

Looking down at the igglybuff, Yooka couldn't help but say, "Ah... it's no problem. You must be pretty tired if your not from around here. I'm an explorer at the Guild. It's actually pretty cool seeing a little one walking around by themself. If you don't have anywhere to go, you can come with me over to the guild. I don't mind having company, it gets pretty quiet in the town at night." Yooka got up, and pointed in the direction of the guild. The building is easily seen above the others. "I'm heading there if your interested in coming with me."

Why was Yooka giggling? Was she giggling at her? Maybe she was. Hopefully not. Wait. Yooka was talking to her! Alki looked up and nodded, acknowledging her words, before the reality set in. Yooka was inviting her somewhere! Where? She turned to look at the huge building, it towered above the rest and seemed so much bigger than... anything Alki had ever seen before! There? I don't belong there. She thought, but at the same time... why not? She had come to the city to make something of herself, after all, and she'd heard a bit about the guild. Not much, that's where her sister had went, but who knows if it had been this one. She steps back, away from the Kecleon, but reconsiders, and then nods again, more firmly. "Yeah, Ok... I'd like that."

Tired? Yeah... Alki was pretty tired. And now that Yooka mentioned it, she got more and more tired. Alki tried to hide it, but a yawn escaped her mouth, try as she might to stop it. "Sorry," She managed to say, before another yawn comes out. As it stops, she looks at the ground, her face now looking more red than pink. Oops. She didn't bother with an apology and instead walked a bit closer to Yooka. She is nice, Alki thought, looking up at her, trying to be discreet but failing miserably. Maybe she'll be different? She should probably just accept the invitation. "Yeah, I'd l-love to come with you, i-if that's ok." Nobody had ever invited her anywhere before. What was she supposed to do? Was that ok? Should she be more formal? Maybe she should. Alki bowed awkwardly, still blushing. Hopefully that was alright, or maybe she'd just made herself look like a fool.

Ask the igglybuff nervously accepted, more than once at that, Yooka smiled with her eyes closed, giggling to herself again, Oh, this little one is easy to read. She opened her eyes but kept the smile, It's tired for sure, and It's not safe for it at night. I should probably hurry. "Alright... uh, you said your name was Alki, right? I have one place I gotta get to before we head over to the guild." Yooka started to walk towards one of the buildings that's on a corner of a street. "Actually, it's literally right over there. If you dont mind waiting, I need to drop a few things off, but if you really want to come in with me that's fine."

"Y-Yeah, I'm Alki." She said, walking with Yooka, before almost bumping into her as she stopped in front of a house. 'Into that house?' Alki thought, shifting her weight from foot to foot, nervous. She looked around her, in the street. It was dark, and there were still a couple Pokemon walking. 'Better in the house than out here though, at least I know Yooka won't hurt me. I think.'


"Yeah, I wanna come." Alki said quietly, practically running to the door, eager to get away from the street. It's dark. 'I wonder who lives here?' Alki thought. She begun to fidget around yet again, waiting for Yooka. What if someone came out the door? She took a couple steps back, a safe distance away from the door.

Yooka watched as the igglybuff went bounding towards the door. the little one sure is quick, but I'm not staying for long. "I'm just dropping some stuff off. This is, uh..." she quickly looked up at the sign to make sure it was the right place. "...Dandy's Boutique." Hopefully this won't take longer then needed... opening the door a little bell went off, yooka didn't pay attention to the surrounding stuff, She was only focused on getting this done quickly. No one answered the door's bell, They must not be here. Not a problem. I'll just leave the stuff here and write a note stating what it is I needed.

Yooka wrote a pretty lengthy letter and left it on the desk, along with her empty guild bag and 300 poke. She then turned around to exit, stopping before the door to look at the igglybuff, "That's all I needed to do. If you wanna look around before we go, I can wait, but I don't have any that kind of poke, so I unfortunately cant get anything.

Alki looked around at the different objects spread out throughout the house. 'This is a really weird house, where's the kitchen? Or the bed rooms. And there's so many weird things everywhere!

Alki went through the house that wasn't quite a house. Lots of weird, but at the same time cool and pretty things! Bags and cloth and patterns and color. She'd never seen anything quite like this. There's certainly nothing like this back at my house. I could stay here all day! But all too soon, Yooka called her and told Alki it's time to leave. She bounced over to Yooka and nodded. "Ok. This house is really weird... Who lives here?" She asks, as she bounces towards the door.

Yooka nodded at the igglybuff and left the building. It was getting dark, the sun was just setting. oh boy. It's about six. I don't quite like this town at night,it isn't serious but, "looks like we may have to hurry, but don't run." Yooka knows the night streets of towns could contain thug-like pokemon. She had to handle a few at rainfront town, but Grassveil town was more notorious.

Yooka was checking the igglybuff every now and then to make sure it doesn't wander off as they walk towards the guild and also to keep note of anything that went on. She didn't want to cause a scene where it's parents found out it went missing. as soon as we get to the guild I'm going to have to announce the kids stay for the night, considering it doesn't like it's family being mentioned I won't get that far into detail. But will the guild let me keep the little one for the night? Heh, guess I'll find out soon enough.

They reached halfway towards the guild. Yooka stopped to check on the igglybuff. "You ok? It's, pretty dark out. We're about halfway there... If you want I can carry you again.

Alki frowned as Yooka told her to hurry. Why did they have to hurry? Maybe the Pokemon at night were bad... she didn't want to get hurt. She trembled and gripped Yooka's leg tightly, letting herself be carried as Yooka walked forward. What were they going to do? At least Yooka's alright... so far, anyways. Hopefully she'll stay alright. "O-Ok... I'm fine." She finally brought herself to say.

Only a few minutes later, a Pokemon began to approach the two. Alki eyed it warily, and... It's definitely coming towards us. She hugged Yooka tighter, trying not to whimper in fear. Despite her efforts, a small, worried groan escaped her, and the Pokemon stopped in front of them. "Give me everything that's in your bag." It said. Alki was more than happy to oblige. He's going to hurt me, he's going to hurt me if I don't give him what he wants... Variations of these thoughts ran through her mind, and it was all she could think of. She closed her eyes as she set down her bag in front of the Nuzleaf, the only thing it contained being a White Gummi. "P-P-Please d-don't hurt me..." She managed to moan, as she took a few steps back to hide behind Yooka.

Yooka heard voice coming from behind. She didnt pay attention to what it said figuring it couldnt be her it was targeting, knowing she didnt have a bag to take from, but she relized it was the igglybuff it was talking to for the iggly put her bag down and backed behind Yooka. Sighing yooka turned to see who the pokemon that asked the question. Oh, its a nuzleaf. Easy enough... just need to get in close, but seeing how its talking matter aswell try talking it out of it. Frowning, Yooka quickly swooped up the bag using her tongue. Just to hold it in her right hand, turning her head towards the igglybuff she said "Im not gonna let you hand the bag over just yet, little one."

she then looked at the Nuzleaf to ask, "and what would you do with said bag?" Yooka waved the bag infront of the Nuzleaf. Yooka peeked inside only to notice the white gummi. Grabbing the gummi while moving her hand around inside, using the arm thats in the bag she flipped the bag upside-down, making it seem like its empty. when she flipped it back up, she handed the bag with the gummi inside back towards the igglybuff, She started to giggle to herself. [color=#77CC00]"It was empty anyway, heheheh. What would you do with an empty bag? especially one that small. I need to be somewhere. I'll just take this little one and go." she didnt look at the igglybuff, but she held out an arm towards it, as if to grab on. Preparing to move if the Nuzleaf didnt like the talk.

Alki nodded, trembling, gaping at the bag as though it had caused her current problem. Please, just give him the bag. She wanted to say. There's no need to fight, it's just a Gummi... She wanted to say, but she was too afraid, and instead took another step back. I should run... But for some reason, she didn't. Hopefully the Nuzleaf believed her trick, but I should run away...

Yooka held out her arm, and Alki grabbed it nervously, unsure of what to do. She still had the bag... she glances between the Nuzleaf, Yooka, and the bag. I should tell her to give him the bag. But before she can, the Nuzleaf beats her to it. "I'm not afraid to hurt you. Now give me the bag, or both you and the little one will get hurt." He then begun to use Pound on Yooka, clearly upset at her denying him the bag.[/i]
