- Natural Floatation: Using the floatation sac around their neck, Buizel can keep their head above water. The floatation sac can be inflated or deflated at the individual's will.
- Propeller Tail: Buizel can use their tail as a propeller to swim very fast through water.
- Water Veil: Bui's fur is covered in a thing film of water that repels burns.
» Personality: Bui can sometimes be a bit off-putting to others. He tends to be out for himself over others and doesn't care about preserving lasting relationships. Bui often seems to lack empathy; he wouldn't think twice about selling someone out—even if they were close friends—and he'll sooner abandon you rather than comfort you if your emotions conflict with his interests. Bui is not intentionally like this, he just doesn't realise that he may be hurting others. Despite all of this, Bui isn't entirely incapable of empathy—while he may not realise he himself is hurting someone, he's usually not very tolerant of others hurting people he knows or may want to know.
» Likes: Interactions with new Pokemon. While friends are nice, Bui finds something about the first interaction with someone new; even if it's not under the best circumstances or unfriendly terms.
Taking Risks. Be it betting on competitions or games, or attempting to swipe a valued item from a powerful Pokemon, Bui enjoys the thrill of taking risks.
Swimming. Unsurprisingly, Bui likes spending time in the water.
Spicy food. There are many flavours in this world, but Bui prefers spicy food above any others.
» Dislikes: Large bodies of water. Despite being an excellent swimmer, Bui hates being in large bodies of water, such as the ocean or anything where the opposite coast cannot easily be seen.
Conflicts of Interest. Bui doesn't care for rules that get in the way of his goals, and he's willing to sacrifice a good relationship with someone if that person is obstructing his progress.
Over Optimism. While some positivity is always good, when someone is optimistic to a fault, ignoring the negatives entirely, Bui gets irritated.
Psychic types. While he can tolerate them, Bui has an innate distrust of psychic types. Something about the potential of reading his thoughts puts Bui on edge.
» History: Unfortunately, Bui wasn't raised particularly well. Bui doesn't remember his mother, and he assumes she left some time not long after he hatched. His father, on the other hand, did little to raise him. For whatever reason, Bui's father didn't bother supervising him, leaving him to his own devices as a child all the way up to now. If anything, his father was more of a roommate or a landlord, providing a place to sleep and food to eat, and not much else. Bui's name does well to show jut how much effort his father put in to raising him. Bui can't remember who called him "Bui" first: himself, being his first word, or his father, wanting something easy to remember. Bui realises how lazy his name is—being just the first part of his species name—however, this doesn't bother him as much as it probably should.
Bui entertained himself by wondering around town, playing games with others if he could, alone if he couldn't, and causing mischief when he felt like doing so. Bui has gotten himself in trouble on a few occasions, for stealing or getting in fights, but considering his background, he's turned out better than one might expect. Being older now, Grassveil is starting to bore him, and Bui is beginning to wonder farther from his home, exploring and adventuring as he pleases.
» Other: Bui will occasionally murmur what seems to be his name, and the first part of his species, "bui"; a term he uses to indicate irritation, annoyance, or anger, or to psyche himself up in a battle.
