| Subject: Zydius Leo Alexander II the Shinx Fri Apr 01, 2016 3:22 am | |
| » Name: Zydius Leo Alexander II » Sex: Male » Gender: Male » Species: Shinx, the flash pokemon #403 » Affiliation: Mercenary
» Level: 5 » Energy: 16 » Ability: Guts » Moves: - Tackle Normal/Start - Leer Normal/Level 5 - Thunder Fang Electric/Egg move - » Natural Feats: - Zydius can generate electricity by extending and contracting his muscles. - Zydius can use the electricity in his body to glow. He can also flare it like a bright, blinding flash to blind other pokemon.
» Personality: Zydius is a relaxed, go with the flow kind of pokemon. He is carefree wherever he goes and rarely takes any sort of situation seriously. He has a cheeky mouth and a well trained wit, cracking jokes that can make you cringe or bust a gut left and right no matter what is happening. Even if he is in tight situations where his life might be at stake, he always finds the time to make a joke, even if it is going to be his last.
Though he is a lax guy, Zydius is extremely dedicated to his work as a mercenary, no matter what that may be. He will always put his mission above everything else, but being who he is, he will always try to make light of the situation by cracking a joke while he is busy fighting. Zydius will do almost anything to make sure his job gets completed, no matter what it is. It can be catching an outlaw, stealing from a pokemon, or saving somebody, He will do it if you pay him the right price.
Zydius isn't above manipulating others, his job as a mercenary dictates that he gets used to doing dirty things. Give him a job to seduce a pokemon, tell him to go sabotage a big event, he will do it without regret.
Zydius doesn't take life seriously, he was raised to understand that if you die, you die, and there is nothing you can do about it. So instead, he makes it his personal mission to never let anyone stop him from doing what he wants, no matter what they threaten him with, he will always keep his own flow.
There is no right or wrong to Zydius. He doesn't believe in good or bad pokemon, because all he sees are pokemon trying to survive in their own ways. Whether they do it by hurting other pokemon or protecting them for poke, they are all just doing what they can to live their lives. So no, he doesn't look at outlaws or guild members (for a common example) any differently than he does a feral, just because they are 'normal' doesn't mean that they are not all pokemon. But all the same, if he ever needs to take them down, he will always say, “I'm just doing my job, beautiful.”
Though it is a shaky concept with somebody like Zydius, He can be extremely loyal to those very few pokemon that have earned whatever trust he had left, if you somehow managed to get past the thick wall he set up. This Shinx will always protect you if he can, he will stick to you like the super glue that you accidentally got on your cloths (Once you smear it.).
But the one thing that makes Zydius, Zydius, is the very well know fact that the pokemon will flirt with just about anything that breaths, and maybe some things that don't. Zydius is a flirting machine who will flirt with anyone and everyone regardless of gender, sexuality, and species. Nothing that is not a child is off limits to this pokemon, be it married couples or even his own enemies, he will always express his appreciation of the many things in this world. Even if you beat him up or manage kill him, he will always call you beautiful and mean it.
He views everything as a thing of beauty, he doesn't care if you have a strange defect or issues, everyone is a pokemon and they all have an amazing beauty in many different ways. Though he expresses his attraction to almost everything with little restraint, he does change his tune depending on a situation. Even if he does flirt with an enemy, he will always make sure to use it as a way to confuse them (Love your enemies, it confuses them.). If a couple is married, even though he will flirt with them, he won't come on to either pokemon. Unless it's an open relationship. He will never do anything to children, and he will break anything that would even try to do something like that. He will never force, blackmail, or pressure anything to be with him. He does have morals, even if they are few.
» Likes: - Completing his jobs. Zydius always feels a certain satisfaction whenever he manages to accomplish a mission intrusted into him.
- Flirting. Flirting with things is Zydius’ heart and soul, he can never stop, no matter what.
- Joking. Jokes are one of the ways this shinx catches his prey of guard, but it's also something that makes him laugh a little. It gives him some fun in his life.
- Pokemon. He believes that every pokemon is a beautiful thing, no matter what they are. He knows that some pokemon don't get to hear such truth often, so he makes it one of his missions to tell every pokemon in the world just how amazingly beautiful they are.
- The Lu'Umbris Mercenaries. For giving him life and raising him into what he is today, a talented mercenary.
» Dislikes: - Discrimination. Zydius hates it when others dislike each other for stupid reason like color, type, etc. He finds such a thing despicable.
- Failing missions. As somebody who attempts to achieve his mission objectives at all costs, failing a mission is a huge stain on his record and pisses him off.
- Spicy Food. Zydius doesn't decline food often, but anything that has a hint of fire on his tongue is rejected immediately. He can't take eating spicy foods, finding the way they burn his taste buds unpleasant and the stomach aches they cause rotten.
» History: Zydius Leo Alexander II is a Shinx born to his strict and powerful mother, Unelsia Alexander the Luxray, and a relaxed yet equally skilled adventurer, Zydius Alexander the Manectric. Zydius was raised in the headquarters of the Lu'Umbris, a skilled group of pokemon mercenaries who preaches to never turn down a mission if it has the right money.
- The first part:
This powerful, yet fairly small group of pokemon (There were only 20 in the group, and most of them were spread out.) was ran by his mother who, as a young family-less shinx, spent most of her life doing jobs to get all of the poke she needed. As she grew more powerful and evolved, she started taking on other pokemon that she saw had the potential to become a powerful ally and trained them in her ways. It took a few years, but eventually the Lu'Umbris was created.
With Unelsia's leadership, she led the group into becoming one of the most hidden, yet well known group of mercenaries to walk the forest lands. She had scouts everywhere, hanging around areas to pick up any information on potential jobs or to find leads for jobs they were working on. Whenever a good job came up, she sent one of her pokemon to snatch it up before anyone else could. She led the group for many years, and she has led them well. Not to say there were no complications though. very rarely, one of her subordinates tried to take her throne as the leader of Lu'Umbris. But they were quickly dealt with. She didn't make it that far by being weak.
There was also the issue of when one of her own got sent to jail, because then she had to go out of her way to get them free. Unelsia did whatever it took, she was not going to leave any of her members to rot in cells the rest of their lives.
Zydius the First is a pokemon who started low in the world. Much like his mate, he spent most of his early life doing missions for towns and exploring dungeons in hopes of finding enough treasure to make it big in the world. Unlike Unelsia, he never took any outlaw-ish jobs, instead he only did work that would help the pokemon of towns. He hunted down outlaws with his team, and although he never did make it big as an adventurer, he still grew stronger as the years went by.
Unlike his mate, Zydius didn’t do anything as noteworthy as build his own organization per say, but he still made a name for himself as a reliable pokemon who strives to complete all of his missions in very little time. He didn't make you wait long, and was a relaxed and easily approachable pokemon with a dedication to customer satisfaction.
So you may be wondering, how did Zydius and Unelsia meet when one was a goodie two shoes adventurer and the other was a strict, down to earth mercenary? Well listen closely, telling y'all this takes too much effort to do it more than once.
Zydius first met Unelsia when he was exploring Fiery Chasm, searching for a lost artifact that a wealthy client made a huge fuss about for weeks. The client had offered more poke than the electric type had ever seen before, an offer so good that it would send many factions running to the chasm to get the artifact. Something about it just didn't sit right with Zydius though. Something was off about the job and he, for one, was going to figure out what it was. Like he expected, his old teammates thought the same as he did, a job that was just too good to be true. It seemed more like some sort of scam, if anything.
Even though Zydius knew that this job was definitely some sort of scam, he still found himself wandering the scorching hot chasm. Alone, because he didn't want his buddies to get dragged down if something crazy was going to happen. He knew that many factions of pokemon were here for the same purpose, and he also knew that many of them were not going make it half way through the chasm. While he was alone, and they were with many, he had been to this dungeon enough times to know how to avoid unnecessary conflict.
So he traveled deeper into the dungeon, but by the time he saw the entrance to Furnace peak, (which was pretty much a large lava lake, not something most pokemon can enter.)he saw no signs of the lost artifact. What he did find was a group of outlaws hanging around the area. He overheard them talking about how they heard that the artifact was taken up to furnace peak by their boss. This new information worried Zydius, a dungeon like Fiery Chasm was easy for him to travel by himself, but if the artifact was actually up in furnace peak, that was an entirely different ballgame.
It would have been idiotic to go there by himself, and he for one was no idiot. But... as he pondered to himself in hiding, one of the outlaws spotted him eavesdropping. He alerted the others and the Manetric found himself fighting against 3 pokemon by himself. Even if they were weaker, they outnumbered him and they definitely were no slouches in the fighting department. He managed to fight his way out and ran through the chasms as they alerted the rest of the group. The moment he was surrounded by outlaws, Unelsia came busting out of nowhere. She was being chased by more outlaws for the same reason as Zydius, finding out too much information. She had lost one of her members during the fight and was in no mood to fight off dozens of pokemon by herself.
Seeing that they were in a similar predicament, both of the electric types came together as one and fought their way through the dungeon, eventually escaping up into one of the entrances to Furnace peak. There was no time to exchange pleasantries for the duo and together they ran through the dungeon until they lost all of their pursuers. After they were sure they were safe, Zydius used some of his remaining sitrus berries to heal up the both of them. They chatted for a bit, before they found out each other's reasons for being here. Unelsia was brought here by a rival group of pokemon who found out more than she wanted about her group. She responded to a threat by waltzing up there herself to deal with them, and she admitted that that was a very stupid thing for her to do. She had gotten too cocky because of her high position.
As they shared tiny bits of information, they decided to stick together to find the artifact and figure out what was going on. It took hours for them to find the artifact and its holder, but what followed was a large fight that both of the powerful pokemon struggled with. Mostly because the “Boss.” was a rock type pokemon, giving them a large disadvantage, but they succeeded. The duo retrieved the artifact and they also found out that the entire thing was a plot to lure out pokemon who would be strong enough to assimilate into their group, and also to get the valuables that the pokemon would bring to explore the tough dungeon. It was something that Zydius took to the police, and they left the rest all in their 'capable' paws.
The mission was both a bust and a success for Zydius. He didn't get the original pay offered for it's completion, but he did get to split the poke they were paid for turning in all of those outlaws with Unelsia. The Luxray was the one who kept the artifact, as a reminder of how she made a stupid mistake and to never make it again. But also as the first memory of her meeting her future mate.
The two didn't see each other often, but after a while, they started meeting more and more often during missions, some were joint missions. They slowly got to know one another and eventually they fell in love after saving each other dozens of times.
And that is the story of how Zydius the Second was made, and now to actually start his damn history.
- Part two:
Zydius spent most of his early life, say a year or two, inside the Lu'Umbris headquarters. His existence was only known to the mercenaries and nobody else in fear of one of their rivals finding him as a potential target. He was a cheerful child, he enjoyed playing with any of the mercenaries that would humor him and spent a lot of his time hanging out with the only other kids at HQ. Tomory the Fennekin and Joseph the Starly were the only friends Zydius had when he was growing up. One was the son of a reformed outlaw (who thankfully never got a bounty.) and the other the son of an old adventurer much like Zydius's own father. They spent their days play fighting, sharing made up tales of grandeur, and learning how to fight together with the other Mercenaries. Unelsia wanted the three to learn how to fight in groups and alone, she had them taught how to survive without supplies and how to contact members of the group if anything ever were to happen.
Though all three kids were different, in personality and type, they all got along well, despite expectations. Joseph was sneaky and enjoyed to play pranks on pokemon, he eavesdropped on conversations and often tried to blackmail other pokemon into doing things for him. He was a manipulative jerkface. Tomory was calm and rather spend his time reading or learning about new ways to fix others up. He was always cool-headed and took the job of keeping Joseph from getting himself into too much trouble. He was the responsible guy who was organized enough to keep up with everything they planned to do. Then there was Zydius, the laid-back sly talker who encouraged Joseph’s mischief and helped Tomory talk their way out of trouble.
As the kids grew older, they were taught the values of the Lu'Umbris Mercenaries: To always get the job done no matter what, to never judge a book by its cover or background, to always watch every pokemon you work with, no matter how genuine they are, and to never EVER let anyone know where the HQ is located. They were also molded to not care about a mission’s details if it had the right price, and they were taught how to steal, bribe, protect, and not feel any remorse about what they had to do. Even then, they were also encouraged to have some values, as long as it didn't get in the way of a mission.
Soon, mock missions were given to the kids. In concealed environments, they had to locate items, protect 'helpless' clients, take down 'outlaws', and a variety of other things in order for them to get the skills needed to take almost any job. When they were deemed ready, the elder members gave the children easy missions that awarded real pay from real clients. There was always one full fledged member secretly tailing them in case something bad happened.
Eventually, their paths began to split, the three all became focused on a select skill set and shadowed experienced members of the same to learn everything that they needed to learn. Joseph became something that everyone expected him to be, espionage specialist. He followed his talents as a sneaky information gatherer and shadowed a skilled Chansey to learn from her. Tomory went to further his skills in medicine, heading out with an old Bayleaf to learn how to take care of other pokemon. And lastly, Zydius became an all-around mercenary, he was to be the jack of all trades, master of none of the group. He had to learn how to do any job from spying to rescuing, his wide variety of skills allowed him to do most of the missions he was given.
Around the time Zydius was a teenager (Say 15.), he was finally accepted as a full-fledged member of Lu'Umbris, the last of his old group to do so. To say he was happy was an understatement. When his mother presented the specially made head-dress that all full-fledged members wore, he was practically ready to explode. The headdress was a thin, light blue-grey cloth that was tied around his head. At where the knot would be was a circular case with the symbol of the Lu'Umbris, from the bottom of the case came two mid-length tails of the grey cloth. To see his strict mother filled with so much pride would always be one of the happiest moments of his life, and it helped that his father had actually been there too. Zydius Sr. was sent off on some long-term mission a year before, but he had the time to come back just for his son’s promotion. After only a day he had to go back out doing his job though .
As a full member of Lu'Umbris, Zydius was finally allowed to leave the HQ by himself to do whatever the heck he wanted, travel to towns and explore dungeons for treasure. He still had to take any missions he was given by the group, but he was now free to work on his own without a trail. And that is how he spent the rest of his life until the present time, wandering around the land and doing any job that paid him the right amount of poke.

| Sorry, your Character Bio cannot be approved due to the following reasons: | 1.) TEMPLATEYou did not use the proper bio template, and some of your coding is also broken. 2.) DISLIKESYou only have two dislikes. The minimum is three. 3.) G.I.Cat"He will always might light of the situation by cracking a joke while he cracks your head open." "His life has been threatened far to many times for him to still be worried about dying." "But all the same, if he has to take one down...." "For giving him life and raising him into what he is today, a skilled mercenary" I feel I should inform you that this character is a level 5 shinx. How is it possible for something as unintimidating and weak as an underleveled shinx to be a "skilled mercenary?" I would be willing to believe that he could accomplish some mercenary feats through cunning rather than strength, or perhaps that he is an aspiring mercenary who sticks to weak targets, but you have clearly stressed his apparent ability to fight and work in the big leagues. If that isn't what you intended, then you definitely need to provide some clarity. How has he managed to kill so much that it is a relevant part of his personality? Does he specifically target weaklings? I'm not entirely sure a shinx is going to be consistently besting.... pretty much anything that isn't a pathetically weak, first-stage pokémon. He's had his life threatened so much that he's desensitized to it, yet he isn't dead? What, has he been receiving death threats from the Magikarp Social Justice movement? Or do those threatening him just never even attempt to go through with it? It seems kind of like you want your character to be some unfathomable badass right off the start, without putting in any work to level up and evolve him in order to explain how he is such a badass. Consider toning this down a bit. He currently seems like a stereotypical tough-guy in the body of an electric house-cat. 4.) GRAMMARIt is at least possible to understand what you're saying, but this bio is absolutely riddled with grammatical errors. There is a bare minimum of one error per paragraph. You seem to have the most trouble with staying in proper past tense, so I would suggest focusing on fixing that. I'm going to have to ask that you at least try to fix the grammar before this character is accepted. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message any of the Secretaries. May it be through the Chatbox or through Private Messaging, we will tend to your concerns as soon as we can. Please fix your bio accordingly so that we may be able to approve it. Once you have completed your edits, either bump this thread or message us. |
