Round Two

Pilot gazed ahead at the sickeningly sweet forest of Pecha. It was a common location for rookies to train, which is exactly why he chose to go there several days prior... However, that trip hadn't ended very well. The tiny Taillow shuddered when he recalled being exploded on by a Pineco, and then subsequently getting poisoned by an Exeggcute... Indeed, he had been defeated by two tiny forest critters, and now he was back for vengeance. To say that he was bitter about his failure in the forest would be an understatement. Since his terrible Pecha Forest expedition, the small bird Pokemon had become much stronger, and now he was going to prove himself by finally getting through the "easy" dungeon.

While he was confident that he could conquer the rookie's dungeon alone, Pilot couldn't help but feel a bit lonely. Maybe it was because he had grown accustomed to always having a partner with him during his explorations... Not that he missed Hidon specifically. Well, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone else in here, Pilot thought to himself, remembering how quickly he had found a temporary partner the last time he had been in the dungeon. "Hey, anyone here?" He chirped, trying to attract the attention of any other rookie explorers in the forest. Of course, he was also attracting feral Pokemon in the process...

Lillian considered approaching the Fennekin - Cana. She was curious; where had this Fennekin come from? She had known that there were more Fennekin in the world than herself, but that was about all she knew. Was this Fennekin any different to her? Their bodies had the same fundamental physical aspects, yes, but was Cana any different to her? Lillian felt a twinge of curiosity as to how this Fennekin had been brought up - what she was like. Not that she wanted to socialise, exactly. It probably wasn't worth her effort.

Lillian's train of thought was interrupted by a series of rustling - from two directions! Since when was this forest so lively? Lillian wondered. Hopefully this time they didn't turn out to be more explorers that were too noisy for their own good. One false alarm was enough.

Perhaps they were wild Pokemon that Lillian could battle. But, surely, there were at least two of them. Briefly, Lillian wondered if she could handle both (or more) of them. But Pilot and Cana are also here. This'll be easy, especially with them. Lillian thought. She quickly shook the idea from her head. That's preposterous. I don't need to rely on anyone for help.

Nevertheless, she glanced over at Cana and Pilot. She stayed silent, alert to any further noise in the forest. She cocked her head to the side at them without a word, as if to ask: Did you hear that too?

Katsumi rushed into the forest and breathed in the fresh air. She felt a lot calmer than before as she now had the company of the forest. Whilst Katsumi was enjoying the new sounds of nature, she could hear the faint noises of a conversation. She only had heard them for a short amount of time until they disappeared but that was enough to convince her, there were other Pokemon in this forest!

Katsumi wasted no time. As she rushed to find the now long gone voices Katsumi came across a Taillow and two Fennekins. As she stood in front of the three Pokemon her head tilted to its side. “Lillian? Is… is that you?” Katsumi asked one of the Fennekins.

Cana looked at the other Fenniken. She was wondering why she was here. Except for her siblings, she never saw another Fenniken in her life. She heard her parents used to live in a volcano before moving to the town she used to live in. Did she use to live in a volcano? I wonder what it is like...

Her thoughts got interrupted when suddenly the bushes started rustling on two sides. Cana was a bit startled by that. Out of one of the bushes came a pokemon she never saw before. It had a long white and blue body and no arms or legs. There seemed to be some kind of white gem on it's forehead and some kind of weird white ears. It seemed to know the other Fenniken.

Cana backed away. She didn't know any of the pokemon before her and it was making her nervous. There still came a rustling sound from one of the other bushes too. Without even realizing it, she moved behind a tree, looking at the others from a distance.

(ooc: Scepter rolled an Aipom so we shouldn't forget that. Also, I keep saying Cana is young but she is more of a teenager I would say)

'Pecha Forest' :

"Katsumi," Lillian addressed the Dratini, nodding at her. She was surprised to see Katsumi - what a coincedence. "What are you doing here? Did you plan on training too?" Lillian asked.

Without warning, rustling pervaded Lillian's ears once again. I've had it with rustling today, she thought with an inward groan. What's it going to be now? Two Fennekin are here already. Maybe it'll be Pilot's look-alike next. Or Katsumi's hypothetical long-lost twin, she thought dryly. But before she could do anything else, an Aipom suddenly leapt out at her from a nearby tree with a loud cry.

It didn't take a second glance for Lillian to tell that this Aipom was feral. Its eyes were wild and it stared at Lillian in an unnerving way. Lillian's instincts came in, and she jumped aside - and just in time, too. The Aipom landed with a crash precisely where Lillian was standing before, its hands poised to attack. "The one time it isn't an explorer, I let my guard down," Lillian hissed. She got into a battle stance, adrenaline running through her veins.

[OOC: Um, I wasn't sure if I should initiate the Aipom encounter since nobody had done it yet, or if Scepter should do it?]

{OOC: Typing on my phone, wow. You people never sleep, do you? XD BTW, Hydra and Evana, do Rock-Paper-Scissors to pick who gets it.}

Raze jumped at the small Dratini's revealing. Huh?! How many of us are sneaking up on them? he thought. He decided to wait for the confusion to blow over, it seemed like they had enough to sort out as it is. Apparently, these Pokemon were civilized and most likely part of the guild. Guild members... Excellent! I should go ask!

Raze took one step forward, but quickly changed his mind when he heard the screech of a feral. He created a Helping Hand, but had no idea which person to use it on. After two seconds of debating, he fired his energy to one of the Fenniken. Hope this works... he prayed.

OOC: For future reference, if I roll a Pokemon, I don't care who initiates the action, just as long as my character plays some role in the fight.

[Energy: 4 + 1 (Natural Regeneration) = 5]

Unfortunately, Pilot's new items did not last very long. While distracted by the arrival of yet another Pokemon (seriously, how many Pokemon were going to show up?), a feral Aipom sneaked up behind him. When it got close enough, the monkey-like creature snatched his bag with its tail, and scurried away! Reacting quickly, the Taillow darted after the purple Pokemon, but was unable to keep up with it. The Aipom was simply too quick, and before he could get in the air, it was gone with all of his stuff. "Get back here, you buttmunch!" Pilot fumed, flapping his wings.

The wild Aipom had scaled a tree, practically disappearing into the dense foliage. It chuckled, going through the contents of Pilot's bag. The enraged bird could clearly hear the monkey Pokemon, but was unable to see exactly what tree it had climbed onto. "I'm gonna get you!" He shouted, taking off into the air. After further investigation, the Taillow finally located his foe, and knocked it (along with his bag) to the ground, giving anyone on the ground a chance to pummel the thief into submission.

Cana was surprised when suddenly an Aipom jumped out of the bushes and snatched the taillow his bag. Before she could really register what was happening, the aipom was already gone with the bag. The Aipom didn't run far though since she could hear rustling from one of the trees close to her. She moved closer and looked up, only to almost get hit by Pilot his bag falling out of the tree. The Aipom who was in the same tree fell down a bit further and got up, a bit dizzy from the fall.

Cana hesitated. She never really fought before and she refused to use a fire type move between the trees. The Aipom shook his head and then looked at Cana. I...I have to try. The Fenniken lunged at the Aipom and scratched it, for some reason her attack seemed stronger then usual. The Aipom fell down and didn't seem to be moving. Cana looked at it, expecting the Aipom to get back up any minute.

(ooc: I used the helping hand thing from raze. I leave it to you guys to decide if the Aipom is defeated or not.)

[OOC: Ah, in response to Ninja - I think our timezones might just be different. My timezone (because of daylight savings) is GMT/UTC + 11:00. And, I'll just finish off the Aipom!]

The Aipom appeared to still have a bit of energy left in it. It climbed to its feet slowly, facing Lillian this time. It lunged at her, spraying a handful of sand at her. However, Lillian was prepared. Her coat gained a reflective quality, with a colourful sheen. She had used Magic Coat, a move that enabled Lillian to reflect any status moves if used in advance. Upon reaching Lillian, the sand careened back and was swept into the eyes of the Aipom, limiting its sight and causing it discomfort. The Aipom staggered, rubbing its eyes with its paws in an attempt to clear its vision.

Lillian took a deep breath, and prepared to unleash an Ember attack on the Aipom. She spat out a series of red-hot embers. The Aipom recoiled upon contact, and collapsed. It wasn't moving. Lillian walked tentatively up to it and prodded it with a paw. "I think it fainted," she declared.

Katsumi’s eyes shone with astonished amazement. Everyone was so cool! One second she was talking to Lillian and then the next second all these Pokemon had just defeated a wild Aipom. Everything went by in such a whirl that she just didn’t have enough time to react. Regardless, the Dratini was amazed. Maybe if I train hard enough, I can be as awesome as them!

Katsumi slid up to the fainted Aipom and nudged it with her nose. She then turned around to face the Pokemon who had defeated it, her violet eyes wide with awe. “You guys are AMAZING! Like just WOW! Ahh, maybe one day I could be as awesome at fighting like you guys are!” Katsumi sighed wistfully.

[Energy: 14 + 1 (Natural Restoration) = 15]

Lillian blinked nonchalantly. It had been her first time encountering a feral Pokemon, but it had been a breeze. Of course, she hadn't defeated it on her own, but it had still been a thrilling experience. I probably could have defeated it by myself, anyway, Lillian thought.

"There are sure to be more ferals in this forest." The Fennekin stated. "We'll probably encounter more. Be prepared." Lillian flicked her tail, peering into the depths of the forest with her dark orange eyes. "Let's move on. Where shall we head next?" She inquired to the group of Pokemon. There were no particular distinguishing features of each part of the forest that she could see at the moment. Every direction looked fairly similar. It dawned on Lillian that she wasn't absolutely sure of how she would exit the forest after this training session; she hadn't been keeping track of her location. Oh well; she could probably scale a tree to get a better view and find a path out, later.

Cana sat down relieved that the Aipom was defeated but she immediatly jumped up. It felt like she was sitting on something sharp "Ow, what is this?" The Fenniken turned around and scanned the ground. She soon found the thing she sat on. "It's just a stick..." Cana sighed and picked it up. Maybe it would be useful later.

Suddenly she heard someone yell and a loud rustling behind her. She turned around startled. She saw a small yellow with blue pokemon laying on the ground. She recognized that it was a Minun. He seemed to be carrying a bag and an orb has rolled out of it. She was still a distance away from him though and just kept obsrving him.

Raze pushed himself up so he could see whose attention he had directed clearly. He recognized the Tailow and one of the Fenniken, but didn't know if it was the one who had received his Helping Hand. "Hehe... Sorry about that! Are you always this popular?" he called sheepishly with a smile. His tone and expression turned a bit less comical as he heard more rustling noises. "Look, I'd love to chat, but I don't think I'm the last Pokémon who had the idea of hiding in the bushes. We'll talk later, there's probably a lot more where that Aipom came from. I'll help you fight them, though!"

The Cheering Pokémon walked over to his fallen Orb and grasped it with both hands. The slippery item was fairly heavy, but Raze managed to hoist it to about chest level and drop it into his bag. Was I... followed here? Great, nice going, idiot... he cursed himself. The rustling noises came closer as he charged up a bit of electricity. Whatever was coming clearly wasn't a friendly Pokémon as a low growl emitted from the bush.
