This allows him to communicate with other houndour using many different cries. Because of this, even with his slightly bad communication skills, he can work very well with other houndour.
» Personality: Xander is not the most pleasant pokemon to be around; he is usually angry, moody, or just won't talk at all. Although he does not seek being in many social situations, he isn't shy. Winning his trust is difficult, and even if a pokemon does manage to do this, he still won't talk much. He becomes angered easily, and when angry, he doesn't think about what comes out of his mouth, nor does he care. It doesn't take him long to get over his anger, but he'll most likely want to be alone for a bit afterwards. He is very hardworking and will do almost anything for something he believes is right.

-Being alone
Others would probably consider him an outsider due to the fact that he rarely ever talks to anyone, however, he is at his happiest when he is spending time alone.
-Exploring
Although he has never done much exploring, he always gets excited when he hears someone talking about mystery dungeons. One day, his goal is to become a famous explorer.
-Sweet food
It might seem strange for a fire type pokemon to enjoy eating sweets as much as he does, but he can't help himself. He has liked sweets for as long as he can remember; he was introduced to sweets only a short time after he hatched from his egg.

-Crowds
Whenever he sees a large crowd of pokemon, no matter what is going on, he will likely go in the opposite direction. Being around a big group always stresses him out.
-Being told what to do
Being told what to do will probably make him grumpy. He thinks he knows what is best, especially involving his personal life, and will rarely ever take advice from another pokemon.
-Rain
Like most fire types, he hates the rain. However, he hates storms even more. Thunder is one of his biggest fears; he never got over his childhood fear of storms. If he happens to be outside during a storm, he panics and is sometimes unable to move due to fear.
» History: Xander was born into a small family; it was only him, his mom (houndoom) and his dad (houndoom). So, as an only child, he was spoiled. His parents soon learned how much he liked sweets and they would get him some anytime he wanted. They let him roam around the small town, but he almost always got himself into trouble. He was known as a troublemaker throughout the town and pokemon his age would always tease him whenever he got himself into trouble.
Soon, he found a mischievous litleo and they quickly became best friends. They snuck out of town many times, even though their parents had told them not to leave, and went on many fun adventures. One day, when Xander was trying to find the litleo, he found her with a group of pokemon. They were laughing, but at what? He wanted to have fun, too, so he listened in to their conversation and found that the litleo he thought was his best friend was actually making fun of him. They were all laughing at him...
He went from an outgoing troublemaker to being an outcast. His parents were worried and tried to ask him what was wrong, but he would always make up lies. He rarely talked to anyone and could be found exploring in the forest by himself most of the time.
As he grew older, nothing changed. One day, he talked to his parents about leaving home and going off on his own. Many pokemon did. His parents didn't seem happy about it, but they weren't going to tell him no. They knew it was going to happen eventually.
Now, he travels from town to town, trying to find a place he wishes to call home. At one point, he considered joining a guild, but decided against it. But he did promise himself that when he was stronger, he would join a guild and chase his dream of becoming a famous explorer.
