| » Name: Breeze of the Morning Rain » Sex: Female » Gender: Female » Species: #258; Mudkip: the Mud Fish Pokemon » Affiliation: Ex-Medicine Pokemon of the Tribe of the Raining Moon
» Level: 5 » Energy: 19 BE » Ability: Damp: Explosion and Selfdestruct will not work in the pokemon's direct vicinity. » Moves: - Tackle (Level 1) - Growl (Level 1) - Water Gun (Level 4) - Mud Bomb (Egg Move)
» Natural Abilities:
§Radar§ Breeze has the ability to sense changes in the flow of water and air through the use of the large fin on top of her head. This ability gives her almost radar-like senses, and she is able to tell what is happening around her, even if she is blinded or her eyes are closed; including changes in the weather and if a pokemon is nearby. While this ability is very useful, it doesn't automatically mean that Breeze will be able to avoid attacks and have quick reaction times.
§Damp§ The air surrounding Breeze is constantly filled with moisture. It's almost like she has a small bubble of humidity following her around. This prevents techniques like explosion and selfdestruct from harming her or others in the immediate vicinity. She can also focus and cause the moisture to collect into her water techniques.
§Burrow§ Because of Breeze's ability to breathe underwater due to her gills, she likes to take naps under the mud in the bottom of a river. This ability can be used to hide, too, however. She can burrow down in mud or dirt, if she is above land, and hide patiently until the danger has passed, or until an ambush is ready to be launched.
§Burst§ Breeze has the ability to lift -and sometimes even crush- boulders that are even bigger than her with great focus and effort. This ability can come in handy when she is fighting, giving her extra strength beyond what her small size would suggest.
» Age: 20 years » Birth Season: Fall » Birthplace: The nursery of the Tribe of the Raining Moon » Height: 1'04" » Weight: 16.8 lbs
» Orientation: Bisexual » Shiny? Nope » Handicaps: None
» Personality:
~Sociable~ Breeze is a pokemon who is not best left on her own. She prefers the company of others over solitude, and when she is alone, she will actively search out other pokemon to be around. Even if the pokemon around her are quiet and doing their own thing, she will be satisfied just to know that they are there.
~Compassionate~ Breeze has a lot of compassion for pokemon of all shapes, sizes, species, and types. She has a good heart and is always willing to lend a hand to a pokemon in need, regardless of their station in life. Whether a pokemon is the greatest explorer to ever live or the most dastardly of outlaws, Breeze will be willing to extend a paw of friendship and kindness, and always heal a pokemon hurt or ill.
~Headstrong~ As gentle and compassionate as Breeze can be when she is healing or caring for another pokemon, she also has a very headstrong personality. Once she has set her mind upon doing something, or had an idea stick in her mind, she will not let go of her ideas and goals. This can lead to her being stubborn and outspoken at times, and even allow her to keep a pretty strong grudge once she has gotten it into her head that she'll never forgive someone for something.
~Thrifty~ Breeze can be a bit on the thrifty side, especially when it comes to healing items. This derives from the fact that oftentimes in winter, her Tribe would run low on herbs and medicines, due to the harsh chill that would kill their herb gardens more often than not despite their attempts to save it. Because of this, Breeze is very thrifty when using healing items and herbs; doing the best she can to make a little go a long way.

☼Friends☼ Breeze loves having and making new friends; and LOTS of them. As a very sociable pokemon, she feels her best when other pokemon are around, and what better pokemon to have around than her friends?
☼Healing☼ While she doesn't enjoy seeing other pokemon hurt or ill, she does like being the one able to heal them. She enjoys watching a wound that she dressed get better every day; it's a sense of accomplishment and pride for the ex-Medicine Pokemon.
☼Sparring☼ Breeze loves a good spar. Though she wasn't allowed to spar with others while she lived with her Tribe, she still snuck off and watched the sparring between Guardians every time she could. She loves the idea of being able to push yourself and your body to their limits, protecting a common goal, whether it be yourself, your friends, or an entire Tribe that depended on you for protection.
☼Humour/Comedy☼ Whether it's a great, well-thought out joke, or the lamest pun ever, Breeze loves to hear it and laugh. She isn't the funniest pokemon out there herself, but she loves hanging around and hearing other pokemon that are funny and have a great sense of humour.
☼Rain☼ While this may be a cliche for a water type to like rain; the fact remains that Breeze LOVES the rain. Not just because water is her element, but because she loves the sounds, sights, and scents of the rain. She will always fondly remember the sound of rain pattering on stone; and Breeze loves to look up when it is raining and imagine herself soaring through the clouds.
☼Horror/Ghost Stories☼ Breeze loves to hear a good horror or ghost story! She loves the chills that she gets when hearing about scary things, and even if the teller of the story makes a jumpscare, she doesn't get mad. She loves the feel of being scared for fun!
» Dislikes:
♣Solitude♣ There is nothing that Breeze hates more than being alone. Even though she was forced to stay mentally separated from the other members of the Tribe when she lived among them, she was never physically alone. Breeze grew up with the sensation of always having other pokemon around her, so being alone is a strain on her emotions.
♣Helplessness♣ Breeze cannot stand the feeling of being helpless, especially when it comes to an injury or disease on another pokemon. It is one aspect of being a healer that Breeze absolutely hates -being unable to heal an injury or sickness, and being forced to watch a patient wither away. Though she has been forced to come to terms with the fact that she cannot save everyone, the feeling is one she'd do everything in her power to avoid, by doing everything physically possible for her patients.
♣Illogical Restrictions♣ Specifically, the restrictions that were placed on her by the Tribes' Covenant. Breeze never understood why, as a Medicine Pokemon, she was not allowed to have relationships with any other pokemon, or even allowed to learn how to defend herself from attack. Though the Covenant gives several reasonings, she finds these reasons invalid and illogical in the long run.
♣Extreme Heat♣ Breeze hates it when it gets too hot out; because the heat and the sun dry up her skin and crack the normally smooth texture. When she is overheated, Breeze gets very exhausted and lethargic, and is likely to find the nearest river to bury herself in mud at the bottom of said river, and wait out the heat.
♣Pokemon who hurt other pokemon♣ While Breeze would never call herself a pacifist -indeed, she enjoys a good spar!- she cannot stand pokemon who go out of their way to injure another pokemon. As a healer, she finds this absolutely appalling, beyond the fact that deliberately injuring others goes against her personal moral code.
♣Entropy/Chaos/Disorder♣ While Breeze did not like the restrictions placed on her from certain rules of the Covenant, she did appreciate and like the way the Tribes lived together under order and peace. Breeze does not like the idea of pokemon living without order or purpose; it's rather appalling to imagine a world without the order that she grew up on. She desires to bring order to everyone who lives in chaos.
» History:
Across the ocean from the land of Grassveil and Rainfront, another large landmass exists, almost like a very large island, as it is surrounded on all sides by the ocean. It is on this island that Breeze was born and grew up in. She belonged to one of the three tribes of pokemon that lived together in peace on the island.
These three tribes are known as: the Tribe of the Raining Moon, the Tribe of the Star Fall, and the Tribe of the Glimmering Sun. These three tribes existed in peace only through the Covenant, which is a set of strict rules and guidelines by which the tribe pokemon are to live by. Each tribe has their own set territory, and while there are sometimes disputes over territory and food, the Covenant keeps the tribes from completely falling apart in anarchy.
Each Tribe has its own way of naming their members, as a way to inspire a feeling of community and also a way to tell each tribe apart. The Tribe of the Raining Moon, which Breeze belonged to, had the tradition of naming their children after the first thing their mother sees, hears, or feels immediately after the child's birth. Thus, Breeze received her full name: Breeze of the Morning Rain.
It was custom in the tribes for the Skyteller -the leader- to inspect the children and choose them for the position in the tribe that they would grow up into. Many different positions existed, such as Scouts, who patrolled the territories, or Guardians, who learned to protect the tribe with their strength. Breeze was chosen to be her tribe's next Medicine Pokemon, a pokemon of great importance to the tribe, as only Medicine Pokemon were allowed full access and knowledge of herbs and berries and how to treat injuries and sickness.
Breeze was trained from her third year on the ways of the Medicine Pokemon. She was proud of being chosen for such an important and necessary part of the tribe. She was a quick learner, and enjoyed being able to heal injuries and sickness, watching wounds heal and sickness fade. It was her great pride. But Breeze also longed for something more.
As decreed by the Covenant, Medicine Pokemon were not to learn the art of violence; they were sacred pokemon to all the tribes, and no pokemon was ever to attack or deliberately harm a Medicine Pokemon, nor were Medicine Pokemon allowed to learn how to fight or defend themselves. This was supposed to allow the pokemon to focus solely on healing their tribemates, and not having to worry about violence or other tribal problems. Medicine Pokemon were also not allowed to mate, or even have anything other than a professional relationship with other pokemon, so that the Medicine Pokemon would not be bogged down by personal feelings when treating other pokemon.
These restrictions wore heavily on Breeze. She was not meant to be a lonely pokemon, and she regretted that she could not get close to anyone -not even her own parents. Being unable to get close to anyone, she felt isolated and alone most of the time, unable to even express her feelings about the restrictions to anyone, as the Covenant was not to be questioned by anyone.
What was even worse than having to distance herself from every other pokemon, though, was Breeze's inability to learn how to defend herself or her tribe members. Breeze could always feel the power lurking beneath her skin, and she constantly had the desire to be up and moving around, releasing the energy in any way possible. She would sometimes spy on the Guardian training sessions with envy, wishing that she could learn how to hone her body and will in the way that they were trained.
Breeze began to sneak off whenever she could and practice fighting in privacy, when she knew she was alone. Despite her knowing that it went against everything that the Covenant decreed, she felt like this was the only time that she could be herself completely. She didn't have a desire for violence or pain, but she wanted to be able to help her Tribe in every way possible, and the build-up of energy within her was difficult to get rid of just tending to the sick and injured and farming herbs all day. It simply did not work for her.
But of course, secrets have a way of revealing themselves eventually. Breeze was caught practicing fighting by some Guardians-in-training, who escorted her to the Tribe Cave, and brought her in front of the Skyteller. Breeze was ordered to cease the insubordination immediately or be exiled. Breeze did not want to abandon her tribe, but she felt stifled and restricted by the Covenant too much. She declared that she renounced the Covenant and the Tribal ways, and that she could no longer live under the restrictions that made her feel like she was constantly choking.
She was exiled, as decreed by the Covenant, and she was forced from the island altogether; no tribe wanting a disgraced Ex-Medicine Pokemon who had renounced the Covenant and essentially all the tribes. Breeze swam across the ocean and found herself on the beach at Rainfront Town, where she hopes to find a society and life that is less strict than the one she left behind.
» Other: Idea for the Tribes and the Covenant were inspired by the amazing Warriors Series, authored by Erin Hunter.

- The Covenant:
THE COVENANT
**this is just extra notes for myself** 1. The three Tribes are to live in peace with one another. If there are any disputes between Tribes, they are to be settled by the Peacekeepers during the monthly Council.
2. A Council consisting of the Peacekeepers, Skytellers, Medicine Pokemon, and Senior Guardians is to be held each month during the time of the New Moon. Here any disputes are to be settled peacefully, and pertinant information is to be shared among the Tribes. There is no fighting on the day of the Council.
3. There is to be no interbreeding among the Tribes. This is to ensure the loyalty of the Tribe's pokemon to that Tribe and that Tribe alone. One cannot give everything one has to their Tribe if one's loyalty is split among two Tribes.
4. Medicine Pokemon are to give there life and loyalty only to the healing of their Tribe. They are prohibited from having strong relationships with any pokemon to ensure the focus of the Medicine Pokemon to be only on healing their Tribemates and not on their emotions and feelings. Medicine Pokemon cannot mate with other pokemon, as they are mated to their Tribe.
5. A Medicine Pokemon is not to learn the ways of violence and fighting. Their focus should be solely on healing their Tribemates and not on how to extend a dispute. A pokemon who is focused on violence cannot be focused on healing.
6. A mate is a mate for life. Once a pokemon has chosen a mate, they will be forever mated in the eyes of the Tribes and the Council. There is to be no discrepencies. To break this rule is to break every loyalty one has. Fitting punishment is eternal banishment from the Tribe.
7. When the Skyteller commands, their words will be done. The Skyteller's word is law. None may challenge the Skyteller, as they are given their authority by the Tribes' ancestors, and to question the ancestors' judgement is to question the very foundation of the Tribes.
8. A child is to be protected, always. Even if that pokemon is from another Tribe, it is the duty of all Tribe members to protect that child. Children are the future and without children, the Tribes will die out. To abandon a child in need is to abandon the Tribes altogether.
9. Every month at the full moon, an event is to be held among the three Tribes, known as 'The Trading'. During this time, there is to be no infighting among the Tribes. It is a time of peaceful exchange of goods among the Tribes.
10. A Tribe pokemon does not need to kill to win their battles. The only time a Tribe pokemon is allowed to kill is if they are defending their or another's life.

| Unfortunately I don't have time to read the entire of the bio right now, but I've read through the Natural Abilities and i'm basically here to confirm approval.
Anywho my finalised versions of the definitions are in the spoiler below and these have been added to the rules thread. (I hope you don't mind me borrowing your wording for some of it ^-^')- #258 Mudkip Natural Abilities:
- Radar - Mudkip have the ability to sense changes in the flow of water and air through the use of the large fin on top of her head. This ability gives them almost radar-like senses, and Mudkip are able to tell what is happening around them, even if they are blinded or their eyes are closed; including changes in the weather and if a pokemon is nearby. While this ability is very useful, it doesn't automatically mean that Mudkip will be able to detect and avoid attacks and Mudkip will not have quicker reaction times as a result.
- Burrowing - Mudkip are known to burrow into the mud at the bottom of rivers and the like in order to hide. As such, this skill can also be used in other situations, though burrowing in non-moist soil is a lot harder and takes more time than burrowing in moist soil or mud found in a river.
- Burst - Mudkip have the ability to lift -and sometimes even crush- boulders that are even bigger than themselves, though it takes considerable focus and effort.
