Old Passage.

Noel sat near one of the cave walls with her eyes closed, after randomly shifting to this strange passage Noel and Jak both decided to take a small breather, no sense in overworking yourself. After a bit Noel stood up and stretched her arms. "Alright, you ready to keep going?" Noel asked looking at Jak, Noel wasn't too sure where they were, it was nothing but a long passage and the way behind them was closed off, sorta made her wonder how they wandered in here in the first place.

Noel glanced up at the long passage, staring she silently thought to herself what was down there, and how strong it could be. "No, I'm strong enough to handle anything." Noel thought shaking her head in slightly anger and waited for Jak to get back up.

Energy 40 (59-19)

Jak quickly nodded his head in agreement as he looked around for another door. "Yea... Some can from what I know... Others are attached to something physical." he commented. "I don't think it is that your immune... Perhaps the glasses had something to do with it?" he said as he wondered exactly what those things did...

After a moment he heard something smack against the wall between them and the room they previously looked into. "Uh, we should get going..." he said as he heard another smack.

The hell are those ghosts doing in there... he thought to himself silently as he waited for noels confirmation on the idea to get going.

"Maybe, don't want to test the fact though, i guess I'll get them checked out after all this is over with." Noel said keeping the glasses on, if it worked once why take them off? "Wonder what they are up to." Noel asked looking back at the door, it was a bit weird to have some Pokemon just in a room randomly, she was lucky they were not spotted.

"Ya lets get moving, i dunno what they were doing, but i don't like it." Noel said moving on towards the next part of the area, she had no idea what to expect but she was ready for it.

Jak agreed completely that they should get moving. Whatever those pokemon were up to. He was sure that eventually one of them would be coming through. Just as he said this one of the ghost came flying through the wall and into the opposite wall in the hallway. Seeming to be spinning. Jak quickly turned around and noticed it was spinning in circles as it hit the next wall. Fading right through it.

"uhh... Lets hurry..." he said as he started to make a few steps forward in the direction they were originally going. Then the ghost came flying back through the wall it had faded through and stopped as it noticed Jak and Noel in the hall. However, it seemed to intent on getting back into the other wall as it shook its head and fly back into the room.

"Uhh... I really have no clue what is going on..." he said as he put his paw against his face as he shook his head. "That didn't seem very hostile... So, I doubt we will be worrying about those two in that room..." he said as he turned to face the path they were taking once more.

"Just don't think about it too much, in a place like this best to just try and keep a cool head, if something happens it happens and we'll deal with it then and there." Noel said not sure why she did, she just wanted to make sure Jak was ok, considering what was going on outside she was a bit worried that would happen here, she had to admit though, most of these Pokemon seemed chill, considering where they were and what had happened, maybe it didn't effect ghost Pokemon, they hadn't run into any supercharged Pokemon, maybe they were clear of all that.

Noel kept walking and the silence in the area started to get to her, she shook her head feeling it was a bit too quiet, was something about to happen?

Jak glanced towards Noel as she said this. He didn't plan on thinking about the whole issue for long. As long as it didn't affect them at the moment. He was not going to question it at all.

Continuing to walk along the hallway. The silence in the hall grew immensely. Jak paused for a moment, wondering why it got so silent. He looked around for a moment, seeing nothing. He then followed Noel as he kept alert. Was something waiting for them?

Noel stopped looking ahead, she squinted just to see a pair of eyes stare back at her, yup it would appear there were more Pokemon. "Don't think these ones just wanna play around." Noel said getting into a defensive stance, one on two was no problem for her, Noel stopped for a moment feeling something else, she waited a moment before tuning around, she saw another Pokemon, a Sableye standing on the roof of the cave, with a small laugh he shot a weak Psychic wave meant to confuse her, Noel shot her own stronger one and canceled the attack, though her attack would do no damage to this foe.

Jak stopped as Noel did. She then made a comment about doubting the pokemon ahead wanted to play around. Jak shifted lower as he waited for their move. However Noel quickly snapped around. He glanced behind him to see the pokemon on the roof. Just as Noel sent a strong psychic energy towards the pokemon. Jak sent out a large wisp of intense flame that would leave a pretty nasty burn if it struck the pokemon.

Jak then turned around to look back at the pokemon that were in the hallway ahead of them. He noticed the the ghost type rushing towards them. He then fired off another wisp of intense flames. Glowing an immense bluish white color as it traveled quickly towards the gengar.

Noel thought about something to herself, she reached in her bag and pulled out a Tm while the fighting was happening, all of her moves were worthless here, she couldn't do anything here, but this would let her. Noel silently used the Tm and felt herself forget how to use Psychic, Noel then felt the new attack and smiled. A dark aura surrounded her body as the energy build up, Noel raised her arms and shot them both out letting loose a dark pulse that went across the entire area towards both of the Pokemon that decided to attack them, good thing is she wouldn't hit Jak seeing as her attacks never seemed to hit allies.

The wicked bluish white flame struck the gengar as it attempted to shake the flames off. It glared at Jak and launched a dark ball of malevolent energy towards him. He quickly reacted and started running towards the ghost type and then went to one side as the ball left its hands. He was about to attempt to run along the wall because it felt like that kind of moment, but he knew he would not be able to do such a thing. Not without practice first.

He then fired a flurry of embers towards the ghost type. Not even waiting to see if they struck and then dove for the pokemon as he attempted to bite it with his now flaming Jaws. Despite being a ghost type, this seemed to have some affect on the pokemon even though he didn't feel physical contact with the target. The burning that the attack would have done still seemed to have the pokemon react as it hit Jak towards the wall.

It wasn't too happy about the fresh burns it received. Jak growled somewhat as he got up from the wall. He glanced to see what Noel was doing with the other pokemon before he prepared to go after the gengar once more.

Noel looked up and saw the Sabyeye get hit by her attack, it was slightly stunned and fell to the ground giving Noel the chance to strike. Bringing up her paw she formed a Bone Rush in her paws and started after the Pokemon. Noel bashed it back up to the ceiling of the cave making it bash its head on the top and fall back down. Noel then whipped the bone around and slammed it against his back forcing the Pokemon to hit the ground and bounce back up in front of the Lucario.

Noel felt the dark energy swell inside again, this came quicker and she fired another dark pulse right next to the pokemon sending it flying down the hall, it skidded on the ground for a few moments before remaining on the ground knocked out. Noel smirked after she did this and turned back to watch Jak fight. Noel walked over next to Jak and made the bone vanish. Instead of saying something jokingly like she normally would she just sighed. If she attacked she'd put Jak at risk, best to just let him handle this.

Jak saw Noel had been doing well against the sableye. He then quickly turned towards the sound of orb of shadowy energy being flung towards him.

Attempting to jump out of the way, he fired more embers at the pokemon. It too had dodged his attack. The orb striking the ground where he previously was. A small explosion occurred as it left a hole in the ground where it hit.

Just as Jak was about to send another fiery attack towards the ghost type. An odd dark energy surrounded him as it extended past him. Seeming to not affect him at the time, it continued to rush towards the ghost type. This energy seemed to originate from Noel at first glance.

This energy then struck the gengar. The power behind it was not as powerful as before due to the distance it had traveled. However it was enough to make the pokemon lose its guard as Jak rushed in as his mouth caught fire. Quickly closing the distance as the pokemon was still slightly off guard from the dark pulse. He bit down on the pokemon with his flaming fangs. The pokemon had taken a lot of damage so far...

Was the match over?

As Noel stood their waiting for Jak to finish she head something behind her, she turned just in time to get hit by a shadow claw coming from the Sableye, she should not of just assumed it was knocked out, careless. Noel stumbled back from the blow but quickly regained, she stood staring at the Pokemon as he lunged at the Lucario without another though, Noel dove to the side to avoid the hit, Noel leaped back getting some distance between herself and the ghost which the ghost type quickly closed aiming another shadow claw in a more stabbing motion hoping to impale the Lucario rather then just cut her. Once Noel landed she spun on her heel quickly to avoid the stabbing attack, while in the best position to get a counter she knew she couldn't with her fighting type moves so she instead went past and jumped back her eyes watching the back of the ghost.

It lunged at her again with not concern for a counter nor any idea Noel could have about attacking, he knew about the pulse attack but she wouldn't risk it with an ally so close. Noel was forced to keep dodging the slash attacks diving to the side that didn't have a deadly claw trying to kill her, once she jumped back again the Pokemon seemingly annoyed rushed at her once again. Noel jumped back on the cave wall and launched herself forward causing the ghost to stab into the wall, since it was a ghost it was easy to get the claw out but Noel had enough time to do what she wanted.

Building up another batch of dark aura she stomped on the ground and pulled her dark infused fist up, with a swift down motion she quickly launched the chaotic Aura at semi close range towards the Sableye, it got hit by the attack and was sent through the wall behind him, it didn't seem to get back up after, Noel was still on guard due to her last few attempts at quickly fainted the Pokemon failing. Her attack would not reach Jak nor the Gengar, her position was farther down the cave far enough away to not attack someone with a semi long range skill like she had, yet close enough so Jak would be able to see Noel.

Noel stood up straight getting out of her fighting stance after a small while past, she was sure even if she hadn't fainted it she dodged enough attacks and delivered enough punishment that he wouldn't attack her again, she was right in that regard.

The gengar struggled to get Jak off of itself. Eventually the pokemon fell to the ground as it eventually couldn't take it any longer. Falling down in defeat. Jak released the pokemon and turned towards Noel who had been constantly dodging the sableye repeatedly. However the last time she had dodged, she had led the pokemon into a wall.

The pokemon should have paid attention as now it had given her the opportunity to strike back. Using that odd dark energy once more. Noel had struck the pokemon. The pokemon had going through the wall and hasn't returned for a while. It would seem that it was either down for the count, or it realized that it wasn't going to win. Either result was fine with him.

"Well, this guys out, and the other is missing... Guess we can move on now." Jak stated with a plain expression on his face. "Let's hurry up and find the cause of this issue. Jak stated as he started to move along the passageway once more, ensuring that he was still with Noel. Either leading, or following. It didn't matter to him at the moment.

"Alright then." Noel said a neutral tone in her voice before she started following Jak, she didn't have many moves that would actually harm these guys so best to let the guy who can set stuff on fire be in the lead. "Ya know I just thought of something, why are the Pokemon here not affected by whatever this is? Isn't this where the darkness is coming from?" Noel asking, while the ferals here weren't the friendliest bunch they didn't do what the normal crazy ones did and keep fighting despite wounds, Noel was thinking of it once the Sableye stopped attacking and even the two Ferals that didn't attack them once Noel closed the door.

"I dunno why, just something I noticed." Noel said wondering if Jak had any thought about that. Noel raised her paw and forced a dark aura to surround herself but she didn't launch the attack. "Dark pulse, weird move." Noel mumbled to herself before making the energy vanish.

Jak looked towards Noel as she stated that she noticed the ghost types had not been affected by this odd event. He took a moment to think about it, realizing the same thing. "You're right, I have seen a single one affected by it... he agreed as he turned back towards the direction of the two ghost types they had just beat.

He returned his view towards Noel when he felt a dark energy brush his side slightly. Noticing the dark aura that surrounded Noel. She then mumbled that Dark pulse was weird, just before the energy vanished. "Is that what that was? It feels quite sinister..." he stated.
