Varda smiled happily and nodded as the Pichu accepted the offer, holding the Leaf Stone closer to Joey so he could grab it and put it in his bag. A lot had happened this day and not all of it was good... So of course his friend deserved a little extra, something special and interesting. Maybe Joey wouldn't want to remember all the bad things that happened, but well, this was their first mission together. Maybe it was worth remembering!
As they kept walking, the trees grew sparser and sparser until the darkness of Shadowhue Forest was left behind completely. But what waited the Pokémon wasn't a pleasant sunny day with nary a cloud on the beautiful blue sky, no. Well, the sun was still up and it was filtering through the leaves, but... There was a certain tenseness in the humid air, more and more gray clouds overtaking the blue as the odd wind pushed them. The Swablu was quite oblivious to it all, his gaze on the grounded Pokémon around him as he smiled. The Pichu finally dared to walk himself, trying his shaky legs after the little piggyback ride.
"Yes, thank you!" Varda repeated after Joey, thanking the Pokémon for their help. Most likely they wouldn't have gotten this far if it wasn't for them, so they really did have a reason to be thankful. With a nod, the bird started to follow the Pichu home. They still had a little bit of a walk ahead of them before they could rest, but Grassveil Town was close – probably. And their client was waiting! The mention of a storm made the Swablu look a bit more concerned, obviously not quite appreciating strong wings and lightning as much as an Electric-type might...
"Oh, it doesn't sound great at all... We should get inside before we get stuck in here!" He cooed his advice, already starting to speed up as the pair headed towards the town.
((Woo, all done. Thanks for the thread, I'll go get stuff locked up now.))
