A Day in the Forest Empty
PostSubject: A Day in the Forest   A Day in the Forest EmptyWed Apr 15, 2015 11:52 pm

Kimori was wandering in the outskirts of Pecha Forest alone, loving the atmosphere of the place. It really was a pleasant area, the sweet aroma of Pecha berries wafting through the air. She wasn't yet deep enough to get to the native Pokemon, but deep enough to consider herself inside of the forest. Nothing could ruin her day.. it was perfect so far. Last night she had arrived in Grassveil City in hopes of becoming a guild member. However, until she could find a good partner to be on the team with her, she wouldn't join. It was far too dangerous to be a solo explorer, especially when a Monster House could pop up at any time in some places.
As she thought about these things, she started to walk deeper and deeper into the woods. And she probably would have kept on going if she hadn't bumped into a Pokemon, stumbling and losing her balance for half a second. When she regained balance, she quickly apologized.
"I'm so sorry, sir!"

A Day in the Forest Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Day in the Forest   A Day in the Forest EmptyFri Apr 17, 2015 10:19 pm

After his previous foray into the mountains Deimos had found himself returning to the area near Grassveil, that same small body of water where so much had occured for him. Unfortunately a certain individual wasn't there and it was somewhat too crowded for his liking, thus he had gone elsewhere, that being into the area known as the Pecha Forest. He had only been to this location once before and it hadn't ended the greatest last time, however he was willing to give it another go.

In silence he walked through the same way he had that one time before, remaining alert in case any Feral Pokemon were present, observing not only what was around him but the earth and sky as well. For the moment the peace and quiet felt good to Deimos, far better than the noise emitted from the town nearby. "Not as good as the pond... But it'll do for now I suppose" Deimos muttered under his breath as he headed deeper into the woods. Soon enough he felt something coming into contact with him, some form of Pokemon. Glancing back, he was able to identify it as a Treecko, however from it's words he didn't detect any malicious intent. "Please watch where you are going..." Deimos sighed before continuing on his way.

Well. This Pokémon certainly seemed to have a serious tone, and was probably more experienced than Kimori. As she stared at the Absol, whom was now walking off, she felt as if he would be the perfect person to assist her in traversing the woods. Well, that would be, if only she could go up to him and ask him to help her. This Absol had the added bonus of having a "no bullsh*t" attitude about him, which usually intimidated Kimori quite a bit.

So, naturally, she trailed him.

Now, she wasn't that creepy. She just actually ran up after the Absol, her short legs making it difficult to quickly catch up, but running nonetheless. When she did catch up, she made her choice to ask him.

"Sir! I'm sorry about earlier, but you seem strong, and I could really use another Pokémon's help to get through this forest. You see, I'm traveling through here to try and find the Fallen Leaf Copse, but I've looked everywhere but here and the Shadowhue Forest! But... Shadowhue Forest scares me because I'm such a low level. So I wanted to go through here and find it but I forgot my Bag at home, where all my Oran Berries are, which would make me faint twice as fast. So! My solution is to have you help me get through here without fainting and see what we find!"

Anyone could admit that the Treecko was a bit... overexcited to find this place. Her mother had often told tales about how beautiful it was, so Kimori reasoned that she might as well see it while she was in the area.

A Day in the Forest Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Day in the Forest   A Day in the Forest EmptyMon Apr 20, 2015 12:12 am

Deimos merely continued walking deeper into the woods, his mind focused on previous events that had occured relatively recently. To be specific the event was his encounter with a Tyrunt known as Victoria, she referred to herself as a queen of some Kingdom, one that Deimos had been recruited to. Apparantly his role was just to fight and protect against enemies, one that he technically speaking was well suited to, due to him being of a combat oriented species.

His chain of thought was interrupted soon enough though by a voice he had heard not long ago returning. He glanced back at the Treecko that had approached and spoke towards him... It wanted him to escort it basically, what on earth did it think he was? A Mercenary or something? Regardless Deimos had no reason to help the Treecko, especially considering that it hadn't even asked for his assistance but acted as if he had little choice.

"Just leave me alone..." Deimos sighed as he walked off once again, he did not want to waste his time escorting some random Pokemon which he had no reason to trust.

Gulp. Well, that answer certainly didn't leave much room for arguments. It also eliminated any chance of Kimori getting to the Leaf Copse in one piece. She sulked away silently, wondering how she'd ever get there. She was far too weak by herself, not to mention the tiniest bit hungry and tired. Plus.. due to her mindless wanderings, she had gotten herself somewhat deep into the forest and, in turn, utterly lost. She really wanted to go back to the Absol, but common sense told her no, she was far too bothersome to him.

So she turned in a random direction she hoped was the right way out of the forest and walked. Unfortunately, it only got her more lost as she tried to navigate through the trees.

Deimos merely watched as the Treecko now walked away, it's expression made it seem as it was relatively upset by his response, then again what was it expecting? It'd come up to him for assistance without providing any reason for him to trust her, Deimos wasn't going to trust random strangers without reason... If he did so back within the mountains it wouldn't reflect well of his status for certain. Having had been to this location a few times before Deimos had a relatively easy time traversing the area, his mind clear, eyes open for any more traps like the one he had encountered before... Never could be too careful.

Eventually Deimos came to a small clearing, it seemed relatively empty at first glance, it seemed as if it would be a decent place to stop and rest for a moment, despite not being tired Deimos intended to take his time instead of rushing... He wanted to be prepared for future visits as well as possible.

As the Treecko delved deeper into the forest, she decided to push the thoughts of the Absol to the back of her mind. He made it clear that he didn't want to escort her, and why would he? Kimori was a complete stranger to him, and she figured that he didn't trust other Pokemon very much. She tried to get his help, and he refused. That was all there was to it.

Kimori climbed up a nearby tree, hoping that she would be able to see either the Copse or the town. She didn't see the Copse, but she saw the town a somewhat long way to her left. As the Grass-type climbed down, she stepped on a weak branch and tumbled to the ground. "Ow....." She grumbled under her breath as she got up and brushed herself off, a bit dazed as she walked in the complete opposite direction of the town.

After having taken a short while to rest and recover Deimos got back on his feet, leaving the small clearing and progressing out of it, lying around all day woudn't help now would it? Deimos wondered for a while without incident, eventually coming across what seemed to be a large ball of some sorts... No, the more appropriate term would Orb. He didn't know what this particular variant was, it felt somewhat different than the Trawl Orb he'd collected and used previously. Other than that nothing else really caught his attention, the only other interesting thing of note was two seemingly sharpened sticks on the ground which he'd only noticed by accidentally stepping on. Reluctantly he took the items, he didn't like the idea of collecting sticks.

Walking further into the forest, Kimori took in all the sights. The swaying leaves and grass, the beams of sunlight coming down from the trees. It really was a pretty place. She continued walking, and eventually came to a small path. It was barely noticeable, but there were signs that it was indeed a path. Heavily trodden on foliage, plants that were cut out of the way, continuing on to some unknown area. In a fit of inspiration and curiosity, she decided that she would follow this path. The grass-type took off down the trail at a moderately fast pace, getting overjoyed at what she fantasized to be at the end. She got so distracted by the scenery and following the path that she completely forgot that she fell down a tree. So distracted, in fact, that she didn't notice a Hoothoot standing at the end of the trail. She did her age-old routine of running into the Pokemon, and falling over.

"Oh good lord, I'm sorry! Are you... ok.." Her sentence trailed off as she looked up at the bird type, who was giving her the ultimate death glare. Gulp. She quickly scrambled up and backed away from the bird, who looked like it was going to explode. Its feathers were all puffed up, making it twice its size. "Oi! What do you think you're doin', knockin' me over like dat! Das so rude! SO rude! You want me to knock you over, show ya how it feels? Huh?!" All Kimori could even do was slip in various "uh"s and " um"s. She slowly tried to back off, but the Hoothoot obviously wasn't going to have any of that.
{12 - 2 = 10} (Hoothoot)
{10 + 5 = 15} (trap)

Now having resumed his previous pace, it didn't particularly take long for him to hear the sound of another annoying voice... Why must people disrespect peace and quiet so? Figuring he might as well Deimos quietly approached the scene, using the trees as cover as well as he could despite how much he'd stand out. Soon enough he could see the source, some random Hoothoot yelling at the Treecko from earlier. The major question now was should Deimos intervine to make things quiet again, or just leave it be... He'd take the quiet.

From his position within the tree line Deimos triggered Future Sight and then merely started walking away, he didn't want to be found as the visible cause of the attack... Better to deal with it before it can work out he was Involved.
