Pterra soared over the treetops, circling the perpetually-autumn copse of trees. He hadn't had much luck in the Black Mist Mountain stealing from travellers; so when he had heard about the new dungeon that had explorers flocking to it like combee to honey trees; Pterra knew that he just had to get in on the action. He was currently circling the forest, searching for the perfect pokemon to steal from; he had already stolen a joy ribbon from an unsuspecting vulpix named Lumina; it was currently wrapped around his neck like a scarf, covering the heart scale that he also had hanging around his neck.

| The day was still early and the rays of the sun that had yet to reach it's midday peak filtered through the oranges and reds of the forest's trees. Synd'r wandered almost aimlessly through the scenic forest, almost blending in with the warm hues of the trees with her red and brown fur. Supposedly a lot of pokemon had been tempted to the area by the prospect of treasure, mystery and intrigue in the recent past, and the young Vulpix couldn't help but wonder if maybe Reisei had also made a trip to the beautiful island in the middle of the lake. It had been worth checking out at the very least, and Synd'r had found herself somewhat enjoying the views around her, despite the fact that there was nothing to suggest her ally had been here.

| Pterra dove into the trees, causing leaves to rustle as he sped past them, enjoying the wind under his wings. He pulled out of the dive and did a few flips and tricks in the air to pass the time, simply enjoying the rush of adrenaline and the roar of the wind past his ears. He hovered for a moment over the forest, scanning the forest floor for any unsuspecting pokemon. He then noticed a flash of red fur and multiple tails, and a malicious grin darted across his face. Had that dumb Lumina come back for more; perhaps looking for her joy ribbon? Oh, this was delightful! He soared over towards the vulpix and perched in a tree above it.
"What are you doing back here, wittle vulpix? Didn't you learn your lesson the last time we met? You're no match for me, even 13 levels above me!" he taunted, unaware that the vulpix was not, in fact, the same vulpix he had stolen the Joy Ribbon from.

| The fur on Synd'r's back stood on end for a few short moments as the grating voice of the pokemon behind her caught her attention. She'd been stupid and let her guard down whilst taking in the forest's sights. She wouldn't make that mistake again. Turning to look over her shoulder, the young Vulpix had to force her fur to remain flat as she practically bristled at the new knowledge that it was an Aerodactyl behind her. Natural instincts told her to run; her typing was no match for the Fossil Pokemon after all, but her boiling rage at the creature's existence threatened to spill over and so she remained still, levelling her tone as she replied to the taunting voice.
"What do you mean, last time we met," she asked, venom practically dripping from her voice at the idea that this could be one of the very pokemon that separated her and her ally.

| Pterra grinned at the vulpix's clear irritation and angry growl towards him. He let out a cackling laugh when he heard her words. "Hahaa! You don't even remember, wittle vulpix? When I took your precious joy ribbon from you?" He gestured to the joy ribbon tied around his neck. "You got amnesia or somethin' kiddo?" he asked, swooping over her head tauntingly. "But what're you gonna do about it, huh? Think you can beat Pterra, the Aerial Outlaw?" he asked boastingly, completely confident in his own abilities. | |

| Synd'r's jaw parted for a split second before she closed it again, glancing briefly to her left front leg where her own joy ribbon was still, very evidently, tied. Gaze resting back on the cocky Aerodactyl, Synd'r couldn't help the small smirk that began to form on her face, despite her dislike for the creature before her. "I don't think i'm the one with amnesia," she replied, the tone of her voice taking on a slight taunting quality. The Vulpix lifted the leg that had her joy ribbon tied to it and waved it subtly, as if to rub it into the Aerodactyl's face how wrong he was without being overly obvious.
Something within Synd'r took great pleasure in making fun of the rock and flying type, and it seemed to calm even her latent fears for a moment or two.

| Pterra stopped laughing as the vulpix challenged him, waving around her foreleg, showing off a joy ribbon. He frowned and peered at the vulpix closer, and then it struck him that the timbre of the voice was all off; this vulpix was not the vulpix he had stolen his Joy Ribbon from. He scowled and glared at the fire pokemon, who was looking at him mockingly. "Well, exuuuuuse me for mistaking you for that puny little vulpix I stole this Joy Ribbon from; you all look the same anyway," he sneered. "No doubt I could take that one from you too;" he boasted arrogantly. | |

| Pterra tossed his head in frustration at the vulpix's continued mocking. But, he realized that he'd made a huge mistake, letting the vulpix get the better of him. He had made assumptions and revealed his cards too early, and now she had the upper hand -well, paw. He needed to get one up on the fire pokemon, but how? He'd noted that she seemed pre-dispositioned to dislike him, as if she'd had a run-in with another Aerodactyl, perhaps? "Well, at least I'm not the one being a speciest against Aerodactyl," he sang, once again swooping over her head, feeling triumph in his own mocking. - Silver carried out 5 launched of one Fallen Leaf Copse :

| Synd'r nearly snorted again at that. If only that Aerodactyl knew - but that was exactly it. He didn't know. He was being just as judgmental. She'd already deduced that this 'Pterra' individual wasn't one of the individuals that had caused her separation from Reisei, so he couldn't and didn't know anything about her. "Now who's the one jumping to conclusions," she replied, her expression not changing from the small, but confident smirk that seemed permanently etched on her face as her gaze followed Pterra's swooping form, "You only just met me and already you're assuming I dislike you for reasons other than your idiocy."Deciding that she didn't care to wait for the Aerodactyl to swoop back, Synd'r began to move onwards once again. She was aware that by attempting to leave before the fossil, she'd need to be cautious, and so kept her wits about her, acting casual but straining her senses for anything that might precede an attack on Pterra's part. She'd learned her lesson from last time, and she definitely wouldn't underestimate the species again. However, if things got complicated, she was at an advantage as unlike before, it wasn't a large group that would render her main defenses useless. | Pterra harumphed; the vulpix was still getting one over on him! How was this even possible?! HE was the smartest pokemon around; no-one else came close! He followed the vulpix as she walked deeper into the forest. "How do you keep turning all my comments against me?" he burst out in frustration, then blushed in embarrassment as he realized that he'd said the comment aloud. | |

| The Vulpix gently flicked her six curled tails in amusement at the Aerodactyl's outburst. She kept walking, but slowed her pace to glance over her shoulder and reply. "Exactly that. You can't seem to keep a lid on your tongue," she commented with a small shake of her head. The only reason she'd had material to get back at him with in the first place was because Pterra had assumed something that wasn't true and hadn't bothered to double check before he started running his mouth. If the Aerodactyl who had attacked her and Reisei had been like Pterra, things might have gone a little more smoothly for the thief duo. Holding in her sigh, Synd'r came to the conclusion that in all likeliness, like everywhere else she'd looked, Reisei wasn't here. Glancing briefly up at the sky framed by golden orange leaves, the Vulpix mentally changed her current goal to; find somewhere to stay for the foreseeable future. - OOC//:

| Pterra sighed, shaking his head. "I guess I put my foot in my mouth," he admitted, eyeing the vulpix thoughtfully. "You're not as stupid as every other pokemon I've met. Usually pokemon can't keep up with me... then again; usually I'm not wrong in my assumptions." He snorted and flew up higher, scanning the forest again for a different pokemon to rob. He noticed a teddiursa and a wurmple traveling together a little ways away. He grinned sharply, his teeth glinting in the sunlight. Then he looked down at the vulpix again, his eyes narrowing. "If I go rob those weakling teddiursa and wurmple, you're not gonna stop me are you? Of course, you could help me out and we could split the winnings," he said offhandedly. "They look like an exploration team; they should have some nice items, if not a bunch of poke," he said, his eyes twinkling mischieviously. | |

| Synd'r blinked as she was brought away from her thoughts by the rather backhanded compliment. He seemed to be smart enough to acknowledge that he had been a bit of an idiot previously. That was the first step to fixing a problem after all, and Synd'r could respect that in a small way. At least he wasn't been adamantly arrogant anymore.
The Vulpix had made to speed up and leave the area as the Aerodactyl soared upwards and into the wide open sky once more. However, Synd'r's attention was brought back to Pterra when his loud voice called out to her. With a small sigh, she called back, "If you keep so blatantly yelling about it there won't be anyone to rob because they'll have heard you!" she hissed, her voice considerably quieter than the Aerodactyl to the point where she wasn't entirely sure if he would be able to hear her from in the air.
Nevertheless that didn't stop Synd'r from changing her current goals, glancing around with her ears stood to attention in order to listen for the telltale signs that would tell her whereabouts the Wurmple and Teddiursa were. Exploration Teams were choice marks as long as you had the power to handle them. If the Aerodactyl was serious about teaming up, this would be easy. The Vulpix was a little hesitant to directly agree to his proposition however, as she wasn't entirely sure if the fossil could be trusted or not. Her past experiences with Aerodactyl certainly didn't sweeten the idea any.

Pterra's eyebrows shot up in surprise at the Vulpix's hissed words, allowing his body to fall closer to the ground. He'd expected the Vulpix to get angry and righteous like so many other pokemon, demanding that he be brought to justice for his crimes. Then again; she hadn't really reacted to the information that he'd stolen his current Joy Ribbon, besides pointing out that it wasn't hers. He'd really misjudged the Vulpix; that much was clear.
He lowered his voice as requested, though it tickled at his pride for her to demand so rudely. Still, she had a point. "You're really not going to try and stop me?" he asked, a little wary about a trick coming from the clever fox-like pokemon. "Hmmm. I misjudged you on all angles, didn't I?" he asked thoughtfully. It was never good to alienate other outlaws; there were only so many of them in the world in comparison to all the goody-four-paws in the world. They had to stick together, or at the very least stand united against the so-called 'civilized' pokemon. "Well. Forgive me for the rocky start, and my assumptions. I'm Pterra; known as 'the Aerial Outlaw.' And who might you be?"
